Cannon ? Is that what sano and everyone is talking about in the " did gill really surive the rageing demon attack? " post?
cannon means "what really happened" right? Capcom of USA and the anime's are not cannon? But some manga's become cannon?
So does DragonBall GT not count as cannon? But Z does?
Or the Tenchi OVA and GXP count as Cannon but not the TV or Tenchi in Tokyo?

I've been on SRK forum for some time now:)

My younger brother is none other than Sanford Kelly. he kicks ass at playing capcom characters, i just draw them.

"Canon" with one 'N' in the middle is the one we talk about when we are taliking about storyline. You can look it up. It's in the dictionary.

"Cannon" with two Ns in the middle means cannon, like a cannon on a pirate ship.

You can look up what's canon in SF in TiamatRoar's SF Plot Canon Guide and a full explanation on it there.

Dragon Ball GT is not canon because the original author, Akira Toriyama did not make it. He did some initial work for it, but especially with Manga, anything not made by the original creator is considered not canon. Z counts because Z was part of the Manga Dragon Ball. GT wasn't. BUT any filler arcs added to the DBZ Anime that were not in the Manga like "The Garlic Junior Saga" do not count. And none of the DBZ movies count, you can tell since the majority of them don't fit into the storyline.

Doesn't Tenchi have a bunch of different realities? I'm not sure what's up with it but I think the first one is the one that counts. And the first one is the best one too IMHO. Haven't seen the last one where he finally chooses a girl (and if he doesn't pick Ryoko he's an idiot.)

But this is going way off topic so...

Lesean - The pencils are amazing and the colors are beautiful! I can't wait to pick this up! :tup:

yeah didnt sanford just beat Justin in MVC2 a few weeks ago? but i dont think that was a big tourney.


I play only on arcade cabinets. and i usually play for money. i play 3rd strike ONLY. makoto is my character.

haha, i'm in Los Angeles now, homie. and i'll be playing Thrid Strike at the SDCC this summer at the udon booth(hopefully, they had arcade machines last year). be sure to bring what you got, my kara throw is straight up velveeta,lol. bring ya A-game, not ya talk-game! haha!

So I picked up the first issue of Cannon Busters. While I loved the art, the story wasn't action packed enough for me but I'll give it time. I'll be sure to check back next month for the girl with hands but no arms. What's up with that?

I have yet to go to the comic store. Drop by there tomorrow to see if i can snag a copy of CB.

Uh maxx if you can barely touch me in cvs2 then you cannot beat him in 3s. haha. You got 3s for xbox yet?

I was pretty intrested in CB back when REY was doing the art for it, but when he dropped from the project, I was pretty dissapointed (although he at least has Sharknife coming out soon)

I flipped through CB at a comic shop yesterday, and it had some cool visuals, but I didnt buy it.

I dunno. I thought it handled the trade off between action and storyline pretty well. For a first issue it set the scene and introduced the characters well. My only complaint was that some of the character relationships seem a bit cliche, but other than that I was impressed. Definately buying #2.
