Signing on last night was fucking shocking. We all new that the new blood was gonna show up, but i still had some doubts. Especially since on 2/22 there was no new activity on the optimatch screens. Then, around 8pm last night i saw it: "9 matches currently in waiting" FUCK!

What was classic was watching all the guys on my FL that are usually "offline", even though there usually just the whores that go offline to make friend only games, and thus just creating a number on the waiting list that cant be challenged. Anyhow, it was funny as fuck seeing all those guys running around like a puerto rican on the 15th of the month, in other words it was out of control.


Before i just flat out start rambling about all that, i was thinking about something, and this is the place to post it:
For the wave of players that came in around December, we had an automatic rival to our rankings; the rematch bug. I find it funny that this new wave of players has a totally different rival, yet, its just as dangerous to their record; the fucking SHARKS that swarm the R Rank servers. For the newer guys that may be reading this, the activity on 3s (especially Hyper) was almost at a stand still, and the only time you really ever saw an R Rank was when someone made a new account. Within about 2 or 3 days when this guy was raping the stats, it became obvious that it was someone going for their A, S, or SS. Perfect example would be "Rektekstep".

Well, i guess im just trying to throw up a welcoming thread to the new blood, i played a few guys last night that were pretty good and i can tell will be a pretty big threat. DJBi3 (sp?) tearing shit up man, the connetion was suspect, but your pretty dope. Theres alot more, i just cant remember the names at the moment. Anyhow, good luck to the new wave. And welcome.

Serious players don't care about rank, although it is true noobs don't have to deal w/ the BSOD bug that those of us who bought the game in November did.

As for hunting around for R ranks, just because someone is R ranked doesn't mean shit, all it means is they just got the game... they could be really good. Example is that crazy japanese player I played the other day, who had like 290/300 record, and compelely owned me for free.

As for rank whores, I've played RekTekStep and he is hardly 'raping the stats' whatever that means. "Sharks" otherwise known as "scrub hunters", yeah they are out there though. Bomberman is a better example. Astrobabe is another one. I played both of them once, owned them, and they have since declined my matches evertime. Yet they are both S ranks, go figure.

Yeah I played today, and only lost like 3 matches (which is good for me) thanks to all the new blood, because of them I think I'm getting better with the gay XBOX controller. Also I haven't played since ps2 controller came out. It's been laggy as hell today, but there were plenty of games, also does anyone have problems with their MIC while playing? Grrr.

yea, im with the other guy that said pros dont play in lag, but i still agree with you, cause CvS had some really good competition (imo), and it would be nice to see that happen here. For fucks sake, i played like three guys in a row that did nothing but hurricane kicks yesterday.

Well I got the game today so far only guy that was worth a match was chun li user forgot his name the rest where all srcubs. I been finding their is a little of lag and sometimes I feel the parry time kind weird. Also I don't consider myself a pro but the point of playing on the net is just for fun.

I'm having a great time, and I'm finding that the best players I've faced use a variety of characters. Lots of Ken whores, but it's not too bad, as most of them suck :P

sucks that parrying is so weird in the lag, but that isn't too bad, either. If the guys I play can parry my mallet smashes I'm sure I can parry their stuff with some practice.

yea sure its casual games, but i have caught myself taking it a little serious at times, i think we all have at some point. For example, im not sure if you played a guy named dcept yet, but i pretty much give those matches everything i got.

Well I also give me 100% even so if I see after some games I would star experementing with other chars that I don't usaly play with them. Even so what sometimes piss me off is the parry timing in lag kind of fuck up.
