about the EX in 3S

I was playing tonight, and saw people glowing orange. I figure that's the EX mode, but how do you enter into it? I tried a number of button combos and found nothing, and the manual is a useless POS.

yes it is a useless POS. if the command for the move is a punch, then u do the motion and press strong + fierce. u can figure out kick from that.

EX moves are done by doing a special move...with 2 attack buttons.(punch or kick).

For example, Ryu can EX the following

Hadoken\Dragon punch\Hurricane\Side Kick

EX moves eat up a bit of your super bar, so there is a downside to doing them. Basically, if its a special move, you can EX it. Gouki is the only character who cant use EX moves too btw...but he is beastly enough as it is. :xeye:

i think akuma is supa cheap. i still cant comprehend why his hurrican kick 2 in 1 take priority over my quick punch/kick. plus itss hard to parry online for me.

Gouki has the lowest stamina in the game though, smack him 3 times and he is dead :razzy: Parrying will become second nature to you soon...in good network conditions of course. :tup:

Um, this glowing orange character walking towards you ...was it Oro or Makoto? Because they have supers that are indicated by an orangey glow. Or it could have been an EX move but they wouldn't have been walking it's just a flashing yellow special move

Was it Q? Q glows like orangish/red when he's in SAIII mode.

yeah, it sounds like the guy you were fighting was Q or Oro and was in the middle of a Super Art.

Your special meter indicates when you are able to do ex moves.

When you have very little meter you cant. No flashing.
After it has grown a bit it starts flashing. Then you can EX moves

Yeah it was probably makoto, Q, or Oro.
