View Full Version : Anyone got this problem with their SF:AC?
I Just bought the US release of SF:AC and was really excitied about it till i satrted playing it. I dont think it likes my converters because like 25% of the time some directions dont register and 25% of the time when i release the stick, it moves in a direction all by itself. Im using the GameStop PS/GC-to-Xbox converters with my Hori FS2 and Tekken5 bundle stick. I dont think its the converters because it works fine for #R. Anyone else have this problem?

sfac does have a converter issue. the only one i know for sure that works perfect with sfac is the magicbox. i think the dreambox might as well.

everyone just needs to get with the program and eliminate the middle man(converters) that is always a problem. get an xbox stick. or hack a cheap xbox pad onto a stick.
that's the best option, since sfac has HUGE issues with converters, and converters are pretty shitty in general anyways...

what converter do u use it with? cuz i have liek 4 sticks lying around (x-arcade, modded PAS, hori FS2, Hori t5 stick). I havent tried my converter with any thing else other than my T5 stick. Anyone have any luck with their modded PAS on SF:AC? btw i use the Gamestop ps/gc-to-xbox converter if your didint read ym first post.

I use the "Dreambox Converter converter." I have NO problems. I played SFAE about 1750 times on xbox live and have no problems. FYI

I have a pas modded with a 360 and i get no delay with a magicbox converter. I used a sony dual shock pcb also. It was a model b I believe. My friend helped me do a lot of it so i'm not positive on the model of the pad.

i have a problem as well
when i try jumping forwards.... it jumps backwards.
when i jump forward i immediately hold back for some very strange reason, it's just a habit.
but i've been doing this all my life and i've never encountered this problem, never in my 3 years of playing CVS2 has this happened.
also, when i am clearly blocking down.... it doesn't block.
i dunno, i'm an amatuer at this game, but i'm definately not an amatuer when it comes to fighting games but the controls seem really glitchy to me. anyone agree?

The el-cheapo gemini converters you can get at walmart, bestbuy, gs etc don't work with sfac; coincidentaly, they work perfectly with CVS2, while my xbox MAS conerter blinks out with cvs2 and works perfectly with sfac... idk why though
thx for the info guys, guess ill have to spend some money getting the dreambox converter.
@red_plague - yea i have the converter from GS, it works fine with all my other xbox games except for SFAC, guess the game is picky.

Yeah. I've ordered me a DreamBox from lik-sang.com. I will post here how well it works with SFAC once I get it in. I'll also list specific sticks and controllers I've tried with it.
I have a couple of questions? I was looking at the 'Capcom Fighting Jam' Hori Arcade stick on play-asia.com.

Can anyone tell me how good of quality that stick is, and if it will work with DreamBox while playing SFAC? I'm already aware it works with MagicBox. I'm just trying to keep from purchasing another converter. Thanks.

no ps2 pad love? im just wondering becuase every thread i read that mentioned the dream or magic box doesnt really mention it working with the ps2 pad. the only reason i ask is becuase in the dream box faqs on lik-sang it says that it has problems with games like cvs2 becuase its analog. does this effect sf:ac too, or does anyone know or can find out for me? i would already have it ordered but i just want to make sure.
