View Full Version : Gill Etiquette?

I was playing earlier and I was just about to pick Hugo but the guy suddenly goes down to Gill. He stayed there for about 10 seconds so I presumed he wanted a quick Gill V Gill match. I went ahead and picked Gill but with about 5 seconds to go he suddenly picks Ryu. We then played the match and Gill dominated (of course) and then as soon as I won the match he dropped. What was I meant to do? I mean it's tough to know if someone wants to play Gill for a quick mess about or if he wants to actually use him to win.

My friend has a kind of different problem where people will wait until hes selected a character and then they'll go straight for Gill just to get one more win on their record. I don't know what I'm meant to do but I wish Capcom had just made him unselectable online. Anyone else run into similar problems?

i drop on any gill user. unless im bored as hell and wanna do gill mirror matches with someone i know...

I don't even have Gill as an option for 3S live.. but that is probably because I haven't completed the game on my Xbox...

how do u get gill? i've beaten the game 1 time. dont plkan on doing it again since the cpu is sure boring and cheats too obviously.

well since u have to do something special inorder to have gill... simply DO NOT LOAD the settings and then save over so that gill wont be pickable.

You have to beat the game as every character and actually remember to save before you turn off the console (which I forgot to do about 5 or 6 times meaning it took forever). I did all the endings back during the BSOD days and I like being able to use the extra colours online. If someone is determined to use Gill then they'll have him unlocked so it won't matter if you load or not.
