That makes two of us (i live in the immediate vicinity of a grade school the name of which is Marc-Aurèle-Fortin)

I may have seen or know you by sight.

I also reside in RDP, hence my deep-seated reluctance to go to mira. Apart from the misgiving that there may not be anyone at the arcade when one gets there, the way there is generaly brimful of optimistic prospects.

The fly in the ointment (so to speak), is having to toil your way back to RDP after a lenghty street fighter session and I know just too well that the way back is nothing short of a long-drawn-out and labourious journey fraught with boredom. :xeye:

But notwithstanding the long-haul trip, I still go to mira on occasions.

I'll get Rene and Alex to help me out on Saturday. On Friday things should be easy with the team tournaments, it's just the singles will take all day and I will need help.

If you are going to be bringing your camera all I wanted to record was the quarters, semis and finals of each tournament and a few money matches, but that's it. Maybe you are already going to do this, if that's case I don't really need a camera for myself - I'll just ask you to send me the videos so I can upload them after the tournament.

Other news:

The Montreal Tekken players are going to be coming for the T5 tournament and they said a few T.O. Tekken players will be coming too. So if you are playing T5 or are looking for good competition, there will be plenty at the tournament.

The CvS2 cabinet that is always broken is getting a big fix. They have completely removed the panel with the sticks and buttons and are probably ordering new parts for the tournament. Thank god, CvS2 will run so much quicker now...

Last but not least, look out for Team SHOTO in the 3s team tournament. I heard they are going to beast.

Lol dude I remember even YOU use to say it was slow at 2000 u just dont play enough nemore =P So u got used to 2000 but I go to Mira and 2000 and I know there is a big difference. U can't ask Luc or Nagen about the speed since they usually always play at 2000 ask someone like Alex or Jason who oftenly play at Mira and when they go at 2000 their like wtf Im prety sure ppl from outside MTL will notice.
And also I saw the speed wasa at normal with my own eyez when the tech was fixing the cab and the speed used for mvc2 in tournaments is Turbo.

Damn I don't see how a tourney culd be held at 2000 right now...-JD- if u havent checked 2000 out this weekend they changed buttons on almost every machine and it's like they let a big shit fall on the sticks for cvs2 (eerybody complainin about them) 3S sticks are horrible as well, MVC2's right side stick makes it near impossible to tri jump with Magneto towards the left....^WildDestroya asked them to repair the sticks and they said "Ta yeule" I really dont see how a tournament could be held if they don't reair those sticks ASAP

I won't be able to come to 2000+ tonight, but I will be there tomorrow night (Tuesday) to speak with the owner about solving the problem with the new sticks.

We aren't going to pay anything out of our own pockets to fix sticks. If they don't fix the sticks we will have to just reschedule the tournament for another time - if this happens, I will personally never set foot into 2000+ again and never think of organizing a tournament there again.

There will be a small DVD Nagata is going to put together with my collaboration, I just want to know how many of you would be interested in seeing a DVD made? It'll be good to show people outside of Canada how we run things here, and a great way to remember this tournament by.

I will answer your questions, but in a different order and a little background.

1. Yes, it will be for CvS2, and possibly 3rd Strike...that's why I asked the question regarding the division of money.
2. Wizzards Arcade was closed down in October of last year unfortunately :( The new location of my tournament will be in Ann Arbor, which is 45min-1hour west of where Wizzards used to be, IF you were driving straight from Wizzards. Going the freeway route would cut that interval by about 15-20 minutes.
3. The main focal tournament will be Tekken 5 because my gaming background and tournament running history stems from this series. The tournament date is 5-14-2005, which is awfully close to ECCX. It's not an attempt to be in competition with ECC, since I've been known to hold my tournaments in May, and held my first one was a week before ECC5. People such as Carmona and Dakong (now Floe) attended both.

So if I play my cards right, there should be money tournaments for all three games. I will announce it on April 1st, but I just need some extra input from past participants in previous tournies that I ran.

J'ai paas vraiment le DVD j'ai pogné tous les matchs de MVC2 sur un site d'un cave qui avait rippé le DVD ils sont restés la pendant a peu pres 1 journee apres ca on pouvait pus les pogner.J'ai seulement gardé les finals dans mon ordi ..je vais surement essaye d'enmprunter un graveur pis je vais vous les passer ou w/e
