I have spent a snowy NY evening trying to make this thing work. And I got there, but then it stopped. Here's my info.

I aim connected downstairs in my living room to the internet by a computer hooked to Verizon DSL modem. I am typing to you right now through the linksys router I have hooked to it. That is because I have an Xbox upstairs in my bedroom with a Linksys bridge connected to make it get online. late afternoon/early evening, I finally got it to work. Played about 15 good speed matches of 3s and HSF2AE, then a game of Madden. Everything worked good. After dinner, I went online with my AOL and things were runnign really slow. So I disconnected the power and ethernet cables from the bridge hooked to the XBox to see if it would make it speed up. The result was it did not. And ever since I hooked those 2 plugs back into the XBox, I could never get back onto live like how I did before. Sometimes it just would not connect, or would connect for a few minutes then drop. (to anyone who played me in 3s or SF2 and it dropped right at the start, Im sorry) I tried everything with the bridge. Reconnecting the plugs 50 times, tried a few hard resets. Still would do the same thing. When it doesn't connect, it keeps saying it can't get the DNS server or whatever. I went downstairs to see what was up with my router, when I saw the wireless b light wasn't going on. then shorty after, the internet wouldnt work through it. So I turned everything off, and hooked my PC back up to the DSL modem (my original correction.) internet wouldnt work. Then for no reason I hooked the router back up. And voila, AOL works at full speed. But XBL still won't work. it either won't connect , or like I said will connect but will shortly drop right after. Also right now at the moment, the WLAN light on the bridge won't light up anymore How can I fix this problem? what's going on, especially since when I first hooked it in it worked near-flawlessly. It was when I first unhooked the cables from the bridge connecting to the xbox that it stopped working really Any explanation for this bizzare string of events? And if it comes down to it, who do I call for help linksys or xbox live?

i would drop aol...a waste of money!!! you dont need it.....slows the computer down......also i would hook your dsl directly into the router in your room and run your computer wireless, especially if your using wireless b... you also need to go2 linksys and upgrade the firmware that will help w/ the wireless drops, had the same issue w/ my laptop till i upgraded the firmware......

Hey...someway somehow, it started working again today. I moved the bridge to the floor of my bedroom as opposed to the top of the TV, and it started working again. weird...Anyone who wants a game of SF2, 3S, or Madden hit me up
