Precisely why he uses it...Asking him to use a default groove amounts to a heart attack because he can't do chain comboes. Then if he loses (most likely), he'll just say "OH I WASN'T USING MY EX GROOVE! That's why I lost!" Then he'll just run back to Ex groove. However, a better solution would be just to pick a default groove, giving him at least somewhat little respect.

CVS2 is the best game ever. I refuse to play a game that requires me to play solid footsies and have no rolls. I refuse to play a game that is very offensive , where every moment counts, and where games aren't decided by counter charactering my first character.

My two cents:
I've been playing CvS2 since it came out for the Dreamcast. I've played it offline and online to death. I feel it's Capcom's last and best real fighter because it includes everything (six different grooves that makes each character in the game play differently, ratio's to determine strength, some of the best characters from both SNK and Capcom, and was designed by one of the original team members who created Street Fighter). I love to play that game. But, I am enjoying the change that's been brought by the Anniversary Edition. Finally, more people to play. Different ways to look at a game. Face it, CvS2 was starting to look a like the same old same old( Someone picks a lag abusing character, roll in ex-chains, etc.) I was ready for a game that brought a new approach to live.

Although I play Super Turbo more than Third Strike, I feel this is exactly what the gaming/fighting community needed. There are sooo many new players that are trying these two games. People that haven't played in years are coming back to give this a try. Hopefully, some of these people might give CvS2 a try after trying this experience. I don't know. I like facing new people and not just the same people over and over again. I want change. Doesn't mean I won't still be playing CvS2 but it does mean it might be a while.

I encourage you try it again if you feel that the games are just too different!!!! :karate:

Honestly now. For the first point, I burned myself 3s for the dreamcast after wanting to play it but lacking arcade joystick experience. I found out that it was a horrid version, so I bought an xbox just to play it(aside from that; xbox live sounds terrible; I'll get a modchip).
