For MKD:

1. Easy Infinite combos for over half the cast

2. Zero wake up game which means getting up is a 50/50 decision

3. Guaranteed Throw set ups

4. Three stances, multiple fatalities, multi-tiered arenas, etc. all = window dressing to mask what a shitty engine it is

I played both, extensively, they both suck. I found 2 infinites the first day I played MKD, that right there should tell you something is serioulsy wrong.

At least I got UMK3 around the same time cause MK: Deception is total crap.

As far as its potential as a competitive fighting game, MK is probably worse than Clay Fighter, although I never played Clay Fighter too much.

But as far as games go, it's not too bad. A few matches of MK won't kill me. After 100 matches of 3s and Tekken 5, MK is actually a breath of fresh air, because its so simple and rediculous. The 2D MKs bring a smile to my face like no other sometimes because of the

-piss poor mechanics
-cheesey ass sound effects

Common guys, like you've never imitated a character getting uppercutted in that game. "OOOOOOooooooooooh!"
