There's some really sweat stuff in the Artwork section. Transformers, Raphael the Ninja Turtle, Samus Aran, The Legend of Zelda, Spider-Man, and Iron Man oh my!

Some of those comics are just too funny. Especially the dan ones.
{His car getting totaled and the one where he picks a fight with kids}

Yeah I loved those comics just as much as the story. They go together. I'm sad they are not in the TPB.

So have you always been a SF fan? :pleased:

gabriel- i think of all the cheap shots myself, yes. i'm glad you enjoy them! i've ALWAYS been a huge street fighter fan (capcom in general).

One question:
Have you ever considered doing the main story art for any of the Capcom books? Even if it's a back-up story?

Leo- sure I have considered it. thing about my style is that it's still a bit too far from the "traditional capcom" style... alvin and arnold do such a good job already that any contribution I would make would probably just throw the balance off, stylistically.

Honestly, capcom properties *i* would really like to draw are Strider or Resident Evil or Breath of Fire. Resident Evil has had a comic before, BoF might be a little hard to adapt... Strider is the one I would REALLY love to see-- but Erik has told me that perticular character is more complicated than most of Capcom's other properties. Shame :|

thanks for the Sharknife comments, guys. it comes out REALLY soon. you all should check it out, even if you don't buy it-- there are some things in it that i think you will really like (that aren't even in these previews)!!!

gabriel- their names are "bobby" and "larry" which are 2 friends of mine (who are brothers) in real life, but the characters themselves are kind of just supposed to represent a typical SF fan, y'know? they're not so much based on a specific person as they are just based on what it's like to LOVE street fighter.

sano- that makes sense.

Even though it would be hard a breath of fire comic would be so awsome. Would you have it based on the original or on 4?

Yeah I would like that idea the best.{creating your own characters sounds awsome} The character designs in 3 were my favorite too. The sad part though is the story line had alot to do with the first one. I realized this when I played the 3rd one first and went back and played the first one on the Gameboy advanced. :wow:
The first 3 games have to do with this Goddess Maria. I'm pretty sure 4 and 5 are different stories. I'm not a hard core Breath of fire fan though. I just played the 3rd one cause I liked the way he looked [ and his kickass dragon powers]. To me though the only thing that's stayed the same is a dragon warrior Ryu and a princess named Nina [ with wings] :bluu: [and the different races of people like you said]
So basicly what I'm trying to say is your better off doing your own thing with Breath of fire. :lol:
I hope you get to do it. Then I can finally see Ryu talk !!! :chat:
Maybe someone around here can inform us on what I left out. :pleased:
In the mean time rey, have you done any work on Breath of Fire? {fan stuff} I'll go check your site now :nunchuck:

Well, why not? I believe he is, technically, from the SF series, since he appeared in MSHVSF and he's definitely not a Marvel character. He could be the new comedy relief in the latest issues now that Dan's still in traction, or he could make a good host for Cheap Shots. After all, Udon already introduced Shadow, who only appeared in MSHVSF, so what's stopping them from using another secret character from the VS. series? Anyone else want to see our goofy japanese tourist?

Will it ever happen Rey? :wonder:

Norimaru was based on an actual Japanese comedian, I believe. Udon would probably have to get approval from him to use him in a comic.... I think there is very little interest or reason for Norimaru to appear in the SF comic, anyway... Honestly, I found him a pretty uninspired hidden character in the game, too.

Im a bit late here, but wanted to comment on some stuff.

He's had like 30 diffrient site designs, and 3 diffrient sites (that I know of) there was Volt 505, then Ninja Rage, and now Reyyy.

He told me once why he keeps changing it up, but I forgot what he said, although I imagine that its probaly cause he gets bored with a layout/design after awhile and/or wants to try something diffrient.

I myself actually liked all his Volt 505 designs (specialy this Flash one that he designed but never used)

REY, you obviously love most all of Capcom's properties, so since you can't do Strider, and dont think you can do SF, then ask Erik if you can do something like "Capcom Unlimted" (or Capcom Remix or whatever) a one shot comic where you can/could crossover and use whatever Capcom characters you wanted to. It be mass hesteria and you could even use Strider as the main character if you wanted to making him able to travel between time and realities, meeting up with and fighitng against various Capcom characters (of course you could always design an original character for this type of role)

Then if the one shot was recieved well it could possibly turn into a series.

You should just bust out your own BoF character designs for fun and post em on your site.

Yes, I am indeed a true Capcom fan. I can't say how possible that crossover comic would be, although it WOULD be a lot of fun.

BUT, you just may see more Udon/Capcom work from me very soon... And it won't be joke strips :]

Yes, Sharknife got pushed back a little (it happens, we all know that! :]) but it should be out for everyone TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!
