First off, I want to thank everyone for an awesome time. This was probably one of the best tournaments I've ever run - everything was smooth, everyone was around for their matches for the most part, and, most importantly, everyone seemed happy. I thought that after this and Final Round 8 I might hang it up, but you guys inspired me to keep going, and I appreciate it. Even though I didn't play, I still had an awesome time. But damn, ya'll - I've never seen so many people DIP so quick after a tournament was over...holla at ya boy next time ;)
Special thanks to Jordan for helping me w/ everything. You've definitely earned a spot at Final Round
Mad thanks also to Calvin from Augusta for helping me out w/ T5 when we had to do some quick ghetto riggin'. Your help was appreciated very much.
BTW, the free play thing was NOT supposed to happen, but fuck it - I'm just glad everyone had a good time. We'll shoot for another one in a couple of months.
Also - I'm going to post these results up and update them. I didn't catch everyone's full names and screen names, so post on here and I'll update this page. Once everything is complete, I'll see if I can't APEX it.

Great tournament. Nice seeing everyone there. I am so fucking tired of 2nd place. I have gotten 2nd place in like every tournament starting at Final Round last year. Fucking June and Jae! :P
(Where was Jae?)
Anyway..
Keith, good job with Yun. I think if you work on your dive kick spacing a bit more you will be comin' up pretty quick. You need to stay on it though becuase ATL south does not have a Yun player and you have a good start, there. June and myself play him casually but we do not play him correctly, activating GeneiJin as soon as we get it and all of that.
Chris/Iggy, your Urien is getting a lot better. You have some nasty combos. You just need to work on hitting crucial stuff under pressure.
Is Nam the most balanced player in the Atl south? Tekken, Marvel, 3s and does well in all of them. Good job. :)

good tourney. gg's nam, sami, issac, remy player, kevin, and someone else i think. it sucks coming back from losers 1st round btw haha (damn chun-li). fun tourney. tekken was also really entertaining to watch, and im pretty good at drum mania for a 1st timer! must be my natural black rhythm haha. fun eating out afterwards with neidel and steven, thanks for the food neidel and thanks for the ride steven. remember neidel its a mental block. change your sig! you dont lose to ken, you lose to yourself.
oh yeah btw steven sorry i scrubbed out and picked chun on you haha. gg though with dudley/yang.

Yeah, Jay and Steven played really well this time around. Jay placed higher in Augusta cpl months ago, but I think there were like 2x as many ppl at this tourney, so good job.
And yes, we must go for broke eveytime now! YOSHAAA!

Wow, I actually inched my way to 7'th this time.
Good games to everyone that I played. Jay, your Dudely is getting a lot better, Neidel you were solid as always, Steven even though you told me you handn't played in a month or so, your Yang was rocking.
Congrats on winning June.
I made a lot of bad mistakes at very cucial moments, but I guarantee that at Final Round I will be much more percise and unforgiving. :badboy:

I was there, and I entered. Can't say that I did much else. I was the scrub that played Ken and accidently picked Hugo, Josh T from Greenville. It was my first tournament and my friends and I all had a blast. I was really happy to meet so many good players and find a 3rd strike cab not too far away from home. We have only been playing the game since Christmas ( I got the ps2 version as a present), but I think we'll be frequenting that arcade to try and evolve from our current scrubdom.

I'd like to thank Rahul(?) for being gracious enough to let me repick in Tekken 5 after I accidentally picked Raven. He got free combo practice, I got to pick the character I actually wanted, and he got more free combo practice ^_^
Great tournament, really enjoyed it.
Joe, I'm eventually going to remember your name. Honest.
Kyah - thanks for everything. Was enough money pitched to compensate for the T5 free-play?
Jordan - wish I got to play you...oh well. Maybe next time at Ted's, then?
Sammy - wish I got to play you, although I'm pretty sure your Chun's better than anything I've got to offer these days. We gotta play KOF at some point; you'd like K9999.
NEGA players - We'll do better next go round. Shane - PM me, willya?
That was a great tourney to all in 3S. I was the guy that wore the SF shirt and played Remy btw. I didn't get to play all the people I wanted to but I still had fun.
Kyah, good job on a fluent tounament. I wish I could go to FR8, but unfortunately I won't be able to go))).
Epsilon, good job in placing 4th, I was impressed with your Dudley. I really like Dudley I just don't really know how to play with him.
June, man I felt like I was playing Jae even though he wasn't there. You stomped me pretty bad. You parried my entire super lol. Maybe next time I can give you somewhat of a challenge.
*Taps Sami's shoulder and walks the other way*

I'm learning dud's as we speak, I love his mix up game, his oh punch is too ready! Corckscrew blow owns as well, but rocket is better anti-air though!!

Keep up the training and you will be good in no time. One tip, pick one character and stick with him. It may be hard at first, but that is a sure fire way to get good fast.

well I had a blast at the tournament I would have to say.
Apparently I know how to play 3S better than I thought since I got 3rd and all. I had people amazed at my playing but honestly I was even more amazed myself. I havent touched that game in weeks cuz I been practicing tekken 5. Hey look at that I placed 17th in t5 and 3rd in 3S wierd. It was fun as always playing the charlotte people in marvel. Now my record with Jimmy is 1-1. I met him five years ago when I first went to charlotte and he beat me in the tournament then and now I got this one. I hope to one day get a chance to break this tie. I always seem to take shaun to the third game of best of 3 but can never seem to beat him that last time. Stupid Makoto is hell tricky but since I play jae a lot I already knew that. I would have to say you two play makoto very different. I wanted to get a chance to play June but alas in order to do that I would have had to beat niedel which I couldnt do. Good games dog good games indeed.
I will see you cats at final round. Me sami and john already have our room in the hotel in which final round is being held so its all gravy now.

8+ hrs in arcade WAITING to play games
-----OR--------
36 hrs in quiet cabin with a Jucuzzi inside, Hot Tub outside, Fireplace blazing, all with my wife and no chance of interuptions....you decide!
Funniest moment...asking the local Arby's drive through jockey where to find a good liquor store and having him suggest we rent a movie and get some wine coolers for a fun time...LoL
