What else should be on there, exactly? The only other fighting games I can thing of that are due for console release are rereleases of old SNK games.
edit: and the Vampire collection for PS2. Still, nothing worth getting that excited about.
Dude, Killer 7 looks amazing. I really hope some hype builds up for that game.

If no big fighters are announced, of course they won't show on ANY list.
btw Mother 3, if you count the cancelled N64 version, has been in that list for 10 years

why is the title even top 10 if the list has 20 games...i'm missing something
People who made that list don't know anything about games anyway, so i wouldn't take anything they mention about fighting games to heart...
1. Kingdom Hearts blows.
2. Why would they waste a number three spot on their list with Biohazard 4 on PS2 when...
a. The game has already been released.
b. The PS2 version is, in all actuality, going to suck.
3. Wild arms hasn't been good since PS1.

Are those all officially announced games? Does that mean Mother 3 is finally coming?? :P If it was a list of "dream" releases, I'm sure the next VF upgrade would be on there.

The chart is based on what the average console gamers in Japan want to come out. Japan like the rest of the world not seeing fighting games as their main interest at least on consoles isn't new (I think).
RPGs are the main trend.

They were fun years ago (I mean, I'll replay ffvi somewhere this month for sure) but they are turning really boring and stupid now that technology can handle a bit more action.
I'm talking 1P stuff, I enjoy risk on ps1 just fine.

Yeah, Mother 3's development was moved to gba because Itoi felt better working in 2d. Apparently it's gonna have the same basic story as the N64 version, and is due out sometime this year.

Um, FAMITSU....uhhh yeah, FAMITSU.
I believe the list is based on a poll (atleast I hope so). Famitsu's editors didn't make up the list (magazines rarely make up lists like that).
Even if Famitsu's editors did make up the list, you shouldn't take everything every good magazine has said and praise it as gospel.
I like Play magazine, a lot (see: Play magazine editors note in the March issue) but I don't agree with them on EVERYTHING. I mean, one of their editors gave Capcom Fighting Evolution an "A-". I'm sure a lot of people here wouldn't give CFE an A-. It's barely a C+ in my book.
I'm not going to agree with some fucking list because it's from Famitsu, Play Magazine, Nintendo Power, or Monkey Wanking Monthly. I said those people were stupid and I gave my reasons. GET OFF OF MY NUTS.
