Its all about teh secret color. Its the closest ken gets to being black, which in turn gives him the secret affirmative action power, in which every move has a bit more priority.

I've always liked Purple Ken, I beleive back in the days his default color was Purple during SF2 Turbo, or Championship Edition... Those are the only SFII's I ever played up untill I got the Anniversary Collection at its release.

I called him, Poisoned Ken. Stupid right? That Shoryuken was like Muhammad Ali's punch though :P. Not to mention he had his own Shin-Shoryuken (Close-range HP+Shoryuken :P). Mad Damage.

Then I try to be like Daigo and pick White Ken.
Now that I've passed that little phase...I use Blue Ken, just because I like the color blue.

I almost always either pick the Start+R1 costume (off-white costume with white hair). I think it's the coolest since he's an old character. Kinda like how he looks so relaxed before the match. Experience.

Orange is really my fave. He looks alot like Ryo with that Gi. If not the secret one, then I'd go with these in order:

Red: Defult way. Capcom's way.

Blue: Championship Edition.

Green: 5 star makes it look great, so I choose it once and a while

White: I havent really used this one, but I kinda like it. Too many Daigo wannabe scrubs online choose white though.

On XBOX you can hold 'BACK' and press any button to get the other 6 colours, but you have to finish the game with that character first. I think the PS2 does the same thing if you hold 'START'.

It still baffles me that folk use this jab, strong, weak, chop, forward, backward, roundhouse, straight, bendy, ferocious etc. notation. It's messed up :)

Meh, you learn to deal with it. I'd get confused at first, but I've learned to use the designations... it's sorta weird, I usually use the the light/medium/heavy terms when abbreviated (ie lk, lk xx SA3), but I say it as short short super.

Red Ken is actually a fully pledged member of the Bloods. That's why only OGs can play red Ken.

Complete arcade mode once with any character (except Gill) to gain that character's extra costume colours.
