RR Cable just became available to me like today and I'm thinking about dropping DSL to get Cable. I hear RR is really good throughout Orlando and other parts of Central Fl so I might get it. Does anyone have experience with it?
i'd get cable if i could afford it.. for more information on that stuff check out www.dslreports.com aka www.broadbandreports.com

I used to have it & while it was good, I found that sbc dsl is just as good if not better & is cheaper. That is as long as you upgrade the dl & ul rates to match Roadrunners. My dsl rate is something like 3+M/sec dl & 384+K/sec ul. But even with the upgrade, it's cheaper than RR. I never really had a problem with RR other than the price. If you change, you also want to be sure that you're not far away from the server.

I formerlly had DSL, that was okay but connections weren't always stable. Cable is pretty consistant, especially with the RR upgrade. I'd go for it, right now I have the package where its the phone, internet, and cable tv all in one.

correct me if i'm wrong,
but isn't cable internet shitty? because it is shared by your neighbourhood, and if alot of people are surfing, it affects everyone?
as for DSL, it's a Direct Signal Link so you are not affected by any websurfers in your area.
that was the case for me.
when i had cable internet i could only get a good connection at 10 PM.
now i have DSL, it's pretty much lag free on my side.
It's what I use conflicts...

You are correct. But it's really only a problem if everyone in your neighborhood is downloading HUGE files or something. But in general yes cable networks or affected by users in your local area the most. DSL is not with its limitations either.

I actually had more downtime with RR than I do with SBC.

For some reason me and Trent get mad lag and shit. When I was living there it was great. I think they did what comcast did down here and went 5mb the Up was pretty decent like 60Kb IIRC.
