Why do I fear Yamazaki?

I really don't understand it. I play against any other character on the game and I feel fine, but when someone picks Yamazaki I feel all funny and start messing up against him. Does anyone else have this problem against him or anyone else? I hate to say its fear but thats what it seems to be. :sad: :sad:

Online Yamazaki is nothing. RC Yamazaki is a bit scarier.

you fear him because...
you're gonna get a swift whip to the face if you try running or walking towards him
you can't really jump in either or you'll get whipped out of the sky or get supered on (the one where he lifts you back into the air)
if you throw a projectile, he'll just deflect it right back at you
and if you try turtling, he's gonna jump in or roll in and perform his grab super
i know, cause my roommate's fave character is an EX Yamz
you have to roll to get close to yamazaki because he can't whip you while you're rolling. unless of course you're rolling like an idiot.
then once you're closer to him, it's up to you what you wanna do

Yamazaki + Roll + lag = one bad mofo

I've noticed how everyone rolls like 1000 times on XBL. I always assume my opponent is roll happy. That's why I turtle the first couple seconds. As soon as I see rolls come out, I'm smackin that foo with a sweep. If my opponent doesn't roll the first 15 seconds, then I go all out offense. I also noticed that rolling scrubs have a tendency to drop when getting whooped on. Just pathetic I tell ya!! :lame:

Bison well dont fight him but if hes in A- don't jump and blanka, theres no RC online so hes toned down a lot.

I don't think there's any one character I fear. A real good mixup Kyo is the only thing I have real mental problems against. I don't know what it is about him, but Calipower was the first to bring this fear into fruition about a year ago.

my friend i play CvS2 with (in person, not on live) plays a fierce yamazaki. he'll keep me at bay with hand whips if i jump, run, or walk in. i'll usually pick p or k groove to combat against this by just defending or parrying as i jump in. but if he has a super gauge i don't dare jump in cuz he'll throw out that super that acts as an anti air. Yama can just be difficult to get in on, like a somersault-happy guile or remy.

i fear terry. whenever someone picks him i pretty much surrender the match. i dont think ive EVER beatin a team that consisted of terry. him and fucking Ryo. other than that, i fear no one.
