Unlocking Akuma

On SF2 my friend and I have been trying to unlock Akuma and we must be doing something wrong. We do the highlight ryu, thawk, guile, cammy, back to ryu, start+3 punch buttons. Are we doing something wrong? And we do stay on each onOn SF2e for three seconds.

i think ur supposed to press the back button, not start.
