hey all, im looking to compile a list of individual character tiers, based on version type. This is *not* a list about who can own who, it is a list of which version type is the "best" for each character.

loose ex.:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

E. HONDA: best ver. SSF2T-b

Ver.
SF2: 6
+ thows do huge damage
- has trouble vs projectile throwing characters

SF2CE: 4
+ 100 hand slap now moves forward
+ "invincible" headbutt
- still has trouble vs projectile throwing characters

SF2T: 3
+ sumo smash, now able to deal with projectile characters

SSF2: 5
+ sumo smash now hits on the way up (as well as down)
- headbutt was slowed down a bit
- throws are toned down

*SSF2-b: N/A
(same as SSF2)

SSF2T: 2
+ new normals and specials
+ super goes through fireballs

**SSF2T-b: 1
+ can "store" ohichi throw
+ can "store" super combo

* (while holding back select SSF2 and press any punch/kick button)
** (while holding back select SSF2T and press any punch/kick button)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this is how im thinking of formatting it. the numbers represent the ranking on each version, 1 being the highest.
i plan to do this slowly, ie. one character at a time. this way i feel it would be easier to discuss.
since ive already made an example with e. honda, id like to start with him.

Yeah Cammy,T.Hawk, FeiLong and DeeJay dont have too many options when selecting type. I always go with Super T versions.

well dont be too sure on that. the new characters still have 3 (ssf2, ST OLD, and ST New) versions. not as many as the others, but theres still noticeable differences. and for those that dont know, st old is different than SSF2.

like i actually prefer old fei as opposed to n.fei or ssf2 fei cuz he can buffer damn near any normal into his rekka's. i prefer him for a more footsie based game, while i would use n.fei for the kick special to help get in on some fireball happy opponents... so there are differences thgat are noteworthy even on the new guys...

what's the best version of sagat and please don't say O sagat as I have no clue what that means. Would it be CE Sagat?

interesting, does every character have a difference in ST OLD and ST NEW?
i thought it only affected a handful of characters.
what is the difference? is it something universal or character specific?
in Honda's case i couldn't find a differece in ST-OLD at all... :xeye:

I say ST "Old" Sagat. As for what that means, hold the "Back" button while selecting "Super." This is the Old version of characters as they were put into the original Super Turbo game. They typically have added benefits compared to just the regular "Super" versions, such as slightly faster walk speeds or fast fireballs. With "Old" Sagat, this very much helps him. His faster fireballs let him trap better, and he gets added bufferables to his stand short and stand forward. He can now cancel off the second hit of those, as opposed to just the first.

Now do you understand Serrano Pepper?

I didn't think that ST Honda could store Ochio or his super in Xbox AE.
