hey fighter's, the people that have good Urien's post your name up here. im getting a new account very soon and i want to fight the top Urien players only. Cos i want to improove My Urien 2 and MAYBE i can learn something new from you guys. I already know everything there is to know about Urien, charge partion, buffering, overlap times all that advanced stuff.

So post your tags up and when i get my new account ill put it up here and AEGIS REFELECTOR!!!

PS: Im not a n00b so dont be expecting any easy wins, you will have to earn them, thats if u can beat me :badboy: :tup: and only add me if your good otherwise dont bother and also good connections i dont want laggy Urien games :tdown:

I don't think the good Urien players play on Xbox live. I haven't seen any on the west coast so far, not on Xbox live.

Psychochronic i dont use that gamertag anymore, its my brothers tag now and he hardly plays on LIVE cos hes out of london....ill just use it once in a while to play Cvs2 agaisnt Kneel and practise. And im working 12-9pm everyday teaching Karate i have no time to play regularly....Weekends is only free time. :karate:

Sucks about the troc but I think it'll be around a year before it shuts, hopefully another west end venue will get 3s (slim chance).

Jin I cant even remember the last time I played you I think it was cvs2 long ago, anyway when ever you get your new tag send me an FR and we'll play, I only use chun and ken (cause I am a scrub LOL)

Cool I should be there. Anyway just to let you know that there is one more arcade left with 3s and thats this really crappy one in Angel, its called vegas. Its funny cause play 2 win, gamezone and casino all used to have 3s but now they dont. I hope troc distributes the vs city cabs to other funland arcades rather than selling them off to some next place lol.

yea tell me about it, im thinking to quit online and just play offline like you, offline players own Online players!! and online ruins your offline play as i experience sometimes now. Cheap lag abusing fuckers. as soon as i setup aegis or juggles Lag comes in :confused: ...how nice. neway peace bro cya offline sometime.

Don't give up on online play! :wow: Good players are hard to find. If you stick to just playing UK players (and some in Europe) you'll find the lag isn't that bad at all. I've recently been getting great connections with likes of Harmonaz, Darkmaster Jeff, Martin Jones etc.

Random XBL match ups with peeps in the States etc always = lag and joystick snapping frustration.

So, send me a FR and let's see how it is for us: Ediepops :tup:

With all due respect to Ediepops post (I understand your trying to keep online play alive since you dont live in london) I say this: Nah man, if any of you lot live in london, start playing offline, forget xbl garbage cause you aint gonna get any better with lag. Ediepops that first link you posted with some results of some tourney I can safely say that some of them heads that got far, I have seen play in real life and I aint gonna mention any names, but LOL they suck big time at the game and then others who didnt get that far, are actually quite decent at the game. And that just goes to shows what lag can do I guess. Thats just my 2 cents and anyway its you lots choice at the end of the day, I am just happy that more heads in the UK are getting into 3s whether online or offline.

Bass ventura: nah I aint going down central today, most probably going to a session instead, I might call you about it, cant mention where its happening on here cause I aint got permission to be telling other manz about it from the host.

Raju your right dude most online (good) players suck offline. btw did you take part in Absolution 2003/4 i think it was...if so how did you place and also when is the next Absolution? i missed the last one and i was kicking myself for not going.... :sad:

JinTheAvenger: I qualified and then came joint 17th or something, cant remember exactly, I just remember getting knocked out of the tournament in second round of losers bracket.

Daigo(Ken) went on to win the tournament defeating Izu(Makoto) in the final.

I dont know when the next Absolution is gonna be, infact I doubt there will even be one.

i think live is the way forward. i was chatting to GGM last night and it got me thinking, arcades are long in the UK, especially since only troc is worth going to and its a pain in the arse to travel there for most people. playing on xboxlive and having offline sessions is the way forward if you ask me. even tournies are often console now.

playing on xbox live will make you improve. i suck at 3s, but i was alright at cvs because of live and when i first started playing i was total shit.

raju, when the troc closes and the little arcade that has another 3s machine doesn't service the machine are you going to play online?

Raju: I don't disagree. However, a player's ability online vs offline is down to more than just lag. This element of online play needs to be viewed with some perpective. Severe lag is clearly just not worth bothering with as it ruins the gameplay altogether. On the other hand, if you're playing people with a great connection then the delay can be (seriously) miniscule.

The other factor that affects ability is the setup/ joystick/ pad they are used to playing on. Clearly, if you pluck someone from their comfy sofa and drop them into an arcade seat complete with unfamiliar stick, spacing and buttons and expect to see what they're truly capable of you'll be dissapointed. It's the same as asking you to play on a Xbox pad with a TV seven/ eight feet away from your head. You just couldn't be expected to play as well as you do in the arcade.

Ultimately, when you move from online to offline and vice versa it will always take time for people to adjust. Sure, the timing is different and certain moves are less abusable but players should be able to adapt.

Any online tournament has to be viewed for what it is = a bit of fun. With so many variables contributing to latency it cannot be taken seriously. I think Mullah summarises the way forward well ......

The way forward is online with everyone meeting up for some offline sessions. That way we get the best of both worlds, a wider variety of players and a real life "no excuses - that don't work now" gaming scene where everybody gets to chill and have some fun.

Live is the way forward? That is straight BS. Does anybody here still even enjoy Live that much? Im sure the new people still enjoy it but for me and others Im sure it is getting old now. Retarded competition and lag isnt going to get you anywhere.

I didn't say Live is it full stop, far from it. But, unless you've got a arcade or friends house round the corner teaming with good comp how else are you going to play the game? Live isn't perfect but it does offer some good things! Like the variety of players and different character choices. Of course, once you've played someone you'll know whether or not you find them retarded competition or not. If they're good in your opinion you stick em on your FL and then stick to playing them the majority of the time.

Offline play is clearly better, that's why I think Mullah had it summarised well. A bit of Live coupled with some offline get togethers. :karate:

Well Guys before the troc gets done in we should all meet up for some 3S action since its summer holidays soon, what better time than that. and im sure we can get to know each other better and enjoy some casuals. Cod isnt doing offline's anymore so who is willing to do some round their place??
