no invincibility in raging demon?

Does raging demon not have invincibility anymore? I was watching my two friends play Ken vs Akuma in 3rd strike on X box, one of them did Ken's SA1 at point blank, a moment later another flash and Akuma was in his RD stance, I thought Ken was gonna get eaten by the RD until Akuma got smoked by Ken's SA1. Has the RD lost its invincibility or do other supers out prioritizes it?

Did raging demon ever have invincibility? IIRC, it's always been pretty easy to poke bad Akuma players who fire it off at random from across the screen.

Poke them? Hell no. DP or super the players who ever do Raging Demon from further than point blank range.

if it did have invincibility, it would be almost unstopable

Yeah, in 3S Raging Demon just doesn't have the invincibility frames that it does in say CVS2 where you can kinda plow through a poke attempt with it up close. The advantage in 3S though is that you can actually combo into it in this game.

Thats what I thought until Akuma ate Ken's SA1 at point blank even when he started the RD after Ken's SA1

the RD IS invincible on startup. Actually it's quite good, it can be used as a late anti-air, with the right timing it will go through everything
Why did Ken's SAI win? It's simple as that: Ken's SAI is not grabbable The RD so couldn't grab, the invincibility expired, and then he got hit. It's simple as that.

Ragind Demon eats through anything that can be grabbed i.e. Kens sa1 or 2 cant be grabbed - but sa3 - most definitely. I've even seen it get through Gigas.
Attacking Akuma while he's approaching is quite tricky though - sometimes your pokes will get him, and sometimes he'll just pop through. Its better you use something like a dragon punch to hit him as that can't be grabbed. Many people dont know this, so if I'm Akuma and I only need to get a poke to win, I do a raging demon and most times the opponents jump BACK which gives me a perfect opportunity to poke them when the demon finishes.
