Saotome Kaneda is right in a way - if you really want to you can find a way to get the DVD imported. It's just that most people give up pretty fast.

Anyways, there are several proxy services that help you import stuff if you do not live in Japan. They do charge a fee, of course, but its a way to get the high-quality stuff.

Saying that I have never downloaded a thing is a big naive, yes. Difference is, downloading is not my first (or default) option.

Actually, the only thing I dl nowadays is anime fansubs, but then I also buy LDs and R2 DVDs (as I don't agree with the R1 market - but that's too offtopic for this thread) so its not like I don't support the market.

Generally, what I don't like is the attitude of wanting everything either free, or without a minimal effort. You know, when random person goes 'where do I download this game?' in places like the MB thread or things like that.

You know when Sagat throws a Tiger Shot at the same time Ryu does his super, sometimes Sagat will take one hit from the super, then be able to block the rest? Watson told me that's only in one version (can't remember if it's American or Japanese), but I tested it, and I could get it on both versions, so I dunno.

Also, the American version has Turbo 0, 1, 2, 3, and Free Select. The Japanese version has Turbo 1, 2, 3, 4, and Free Select. It seems to me that they are the same speeds, just numbered differently. So American Turbo 0 is Japanese Turbo 1; American Turbo 1 is Japanese Turbo 2, etc. "Standard" in Japan (if there is such a thing) is Turbo 3 (American Turbo 2).

I also think I remember the Japanese version not having Free Play mode, whereas the American version does...

But as far as gameplay, I don't think there are any big differences...or even any differences at all?
