Sent has the unblockable, he has easy 100% comboes, he has speed, he has super armor, he has great chip and monster damage + 2 great assists.... combofiend at one point was extremely frustrated at marvel soley because of sent.

He has great pressure and great zoning/pokes fuck cable's ahvb being made of 100 c. fierces this motherfucker IS sagat he has everything.

Sure he has bad matches but so do alot of characters but sent is no doubt one of the most dominating forces ever he has the ability to win the whole damn game for you. Do you think sanford being considered one of the best sent players and being one of the best marvel players period is a coincidence?

He even frustrates me some, ALOT of shit that works on everyone else doesn't work on sent he also has the most stamina in the game in fact alot of people say that sent basically killed low tiers ever being viable. He also recovers from the air 1 frame earlier than everyone else iirc.... there's also the fact that all anti airs save for psylocke give him unfly..... fucker's a beast

Sent is the MVP of Marvel. Fuck calling this game Marvel or Marvel vs. Capcom 2, let's just call it Sentinel or Sentinel vs. Sentinel. Since day one, this game has been about one of two things:
1. How well you use sentinel
2. How well you beat sentinel

which is the reason why Cable was the second most used character for the longest time. Cuz the only way people could get passed that fuckin robot was to shoot him.

He's considered air born it's easy to combo him all you gotta do is straight launch because he is considered a bit off the ground and sometimes when you are sent and you tag in and mash hk or whatever you'll even do a j. hk a inch of the ground.

I have NO idea why he is like that, if that wasn't enough his taunts seems kinda short so maybe he might have a little less vulnerability as a assist and tag in.

Well, if you haven't been playing for awhile, then you are missing out on what has been happening. Sent is one of the Big 4, and it's pretty debatable on who you believe is the best(imo Storm is the best) but the teams that you choose, especially your Ryu/Akuma/Gambit would not fair very good at a tournie say...Evo, in casual play it could work, but up against everyone else who plays Msp and whatnot, your in for a world of hurt.

Btw, whoever started this topic, you are behind by a few years.

Yes its prolly true that Sent gets shot sometimes by Cable but that doesnt mean he loses to him all the time. You just have to be patient. I think thats why the Big 4 are top tier, since there isnt a game they can't come back and win.

Although Cable needs meter, but the other 3 don't necessarily do. IMO the top 4 are like this:

Storm and Sent are actually kinda close so that is kinda of a toss up, but this is just my opinion, I think other people might feel differently about the Top 4. (Ready for flame wars to start)

I should have phrased it differently, but I did mean the Mag CAN rape Sent part, he certainly doesnt all the time. But how many Sent's can consistently keep mags out until Sent kills him? I think Mag slightly beats Sent, maybe 6-4 or so, but when Mags wins that match its rape. When Sent wins the match its usually not rape...

As for Cable v Sent, How is Sent going to get around a GOOD cable with any level of consistency? he has no long range offense, because anything he does gets him shot, he's got hella problems flying(even WITH unfly) getting in through the sea of grenades and what have you is a bitch. Usually you have to have Cable drop the ball for Sent to win that, and yeah Sent can win it but its still tough as hell.

All of you are forgetting one thing: only 50% of Sent's value comes on point, the other 50% is as an assist (whether it be sent-a for mag/cable or sent-g for storm/cable). Sent-g turns a semi-even matchup of Mag vs. Storm into at least a 7-3 favorable matchup for Storm. Sentinel makes Storm twice as good as she already is if he's backing her. His value as an assist and DHC ALONE should make him top-tier, nevermind his ability as a point character.

These days, people are actually learning to block magneto bullshit (square-jumps, j. rh + psy instant overhead, etc.) with Sentinel, so the matchup is still getting better for Sentinel. It's still 6-4 Magneto, but it seems these days as if Sentinels are getting better and better while Mags users are getting lazy and doing the same shit because it works on most people.

Don't even get me started on the retardedness that is Sent/Capcom.

the top 4 are only as good as the player is. if u have a half decent sentinel it wont take much work to beat an average magneto, but an advance mags will make you work those fast flys for life. it all depends on the players, sentinel is not low tier its just the way u r using him that ranks him in the favor. i take on any mags or storm cable when im on fire and ransack right by the shit. btw sent with cap is just the better sent assist as in mag phy etc theres no aguing it!!
