How can you tell if a shoe is VNDS or DS?

VNDS = slight creases, some ~ none dirt on sole, laced up means it was likely worn or tried on, any creases on the shoe.

DS = deadstock, fresh and never worn, usually un laced, clean sole with no dirt, no creases, no sock lints on the interior.

um, yeah, they aren't worth the price tag at all. the suede gets dirty WAY too quickly, is impossible to clean (even with a suede/nubuck brush it will not get the shy pink back to the original color...) and the suede fades to an almost off white/extremely light pink. the inside of the shoes are white, so you know thats getting dirty...the soles are white, so again, you know thats getting dirty.

i'd put this shoe up there with sea crystals as far as being one of the hardest to take care of. if you have unkles, chances are you're rocking raw dark denim...so you know the dye is an issue. the edge of my tongues are kinda blue, but i cleaned them up a bit. had to clean some dye off of the flaps of the shoes as well.

overall, its still a nice shoe though. definitely my favorite pair so far, along with hunters.

and i missed you guys too.

I guess it all breaks down to personal preference. Personally, I would go for the Viotechs over the AM1's. You just.. can't go wrong with suede. Also, I'm not a huge fan of orange, so that turns me away from the AM1's, even though I love the safari print. Personally, I would go for some Air Safari 87's (blue) over the AM1's.

i can't decide on whether or not to cop the money cat lows...at first they looked nice, but i think its because nike sb has been letting all of us down on current sb releases for the past year, pretty much (with a few exceptions). its like anything that doesn't look so plain gets a pass, and thats how i feel about the money cat lows. they might grow on me or be an impulse buy during the release month, which i hear is april.

dunno where you got $360 but avengers dont go for that much. $250-$300 is the range. as for the viii's, the aquas arent confirmed. I pray they retro them, but we have no way of telling this early. shit, were not even done with the iii's. but hypothetically, if the grapes werent retroed, a DMP consisting of the aquas and grapes wouldve been the best thing ever. but the craziest JB release has to be the cool grey concords. people actually got robbed and killed when these released.

and $300 is alot for jeans, but then again isnt. selvedge jeans run for $300 easy. try copping some clot or neighborhood jeans. some of them joints run you $600 and up. its all on the quality of denim/stitching and the exclusivness. then theres jeans that run even higher for the rich and famous. try some nudies if you want good quality denim for a decent price.

I had all the hyped sb's but I really bought them more for the hype as opposed to actually liking the shoe. only sb's I got left are the ones I liked as shoes over hype. supreme lows, de la hi's, tweed hi's, jordan prod's which I just sold to pay for school (:sad: )

LS doesnt neccessarily mean hype bro. and LS isnt for JB to make more money as opposed to a GR. if they released the grapes as a GR, Im sure JB wouldve pocketed alot more money than they did off making it a LS. the flips retailed for $135 here as a limited general release. firereds went for the same price and both sold out at an equal pace. LS or GR, if someone wants to cop a pair it really isnt that hard. I can understand what you mean in terms of LS amounting to hype. but not always. sometimes yes. if the shoe is plain ugly, the resell value is just as high or low as a GR pair of j's. and not all LS j's are nasty. also, LS doesnt always mean a new colorway and a GR doesnt always mean an OG colorway. greenbeans and stealths for example. everyone is entitled to their own opinion and Ive talked to countless Jordan heads that are opposed to LS and vice versa but I dont see how you can see the carolina or olive v's as nasty.

Soo, I know that GR doesn't mean OG. My point was that all OG colorways should be GR, because that's how it was back then, and that's how it always should be. Everyone should have a chance to get an OG colorway. If you really want to be exclusive that bad, go buy real OG Jordans, because JB already changed around some things about retros, like putting the Jumpman where the Nike Air logo should be. Let us old farts, who don't have the time to be waiting in line for stuff, enjoy the retroing of our OG colorways with a general release.

And the Flips were $150, dude. Where did you get them for $135? I'd love to know the store where you're buying sneakers from.
