pink, purple & other feminine colored clothes
camo, medium sized t-shirts & "urban clothing"
stripe button up shirts
preppy w/polo and khakis, looking like golf club members
oversized white t-shirts
fake grills, oversized necklaces & fake jacob&co watches
oversized fitted new era caps
cartoon backpacks
FAKE northface jackets/parkas
OD on matching
nike baller bands/livestrong bands
nike dunk & post 2003 retro air jordan & "LIMITED/RARE" nike craze (thanks to all that, nike started to make their shoes with cheap leather, milking everyone like crazy)
bape sta craze (you're fools to be buying bapes online for cheap. thats unheard of)
jerseys (especially with that fake m&n shit)

thats all i can think of. not in high school anymore so i wouldnt know whats in or not.

pink has to be the worst followed by the nike craze after 2003, jerseys then oversized white tees.

C.J. Miles won't play at Texas.

Miles, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Skyline (Dallas) High, will sign a two-year deal with the Utah Jazz after the team selected him No. 34 in the NBA draft June 28.

Miles' father, Calvin, and Utah general manager Kevin O'Connor said Wednesday that they had a deal in principle but the final details were still to be determined.

Miles kept open the possibility of attending Texas next season under a rule that will no longer exist because of the new collective bargaining agreement.

Miles could have gone to Texas even though he was drafted. Under NCAA rules, in accordance with the NBA, a high school senior can be selected in the draft but play college basketball as long as he doesn't sign with an agent or accept money from the team. The team would own his rights until a year after his eligibility expires. The rule has been in place since 2002, but none of the high school seniors drafted since have taken advantage of this loophole.

Miles was the only remaining high school senior drafted who hadn't secured representation. The Miles family thought Utah would take him at No. 27, but the Jazz made a draft-day trade with Portland to get the No. 3 pick so they could take Illinois junior point guard Deron Williams. Utah's next pick then became No. 34.

"We'll get this done," O'Connor said.

"We've talked about the two-year guarantee and it should be done in time for him to go to camp on July 11," Calvin Miles said.

Calvin Miles said he informed Texas coach Rick Barnes on Monday night that his son wouldn't be attending Texas in the fall.

The family originally had told Barnes that if Miles were not drafted in the first round, he would then go to Texas. But Barnes always knew Miles might leave if he was a high second-round pick.

"The Texas coaches have been great and very supportive," Miles said. "We were just waiting on the Jazz to get the guarantee and come as close to first-round money."

Miles is likely going to get around $400,000, which could be close to the new second-round minimum once the CBA is finalized.

O'Connor said the team sat the family down after the draft in Salt Lake City and explained the options. The team took Miles that high with the intent of having him play next season. O'Connor then spent the week working out a contract proposal with Miles' adviser and potential agent Billy Ceisler.

"If he had felt he wasn't ready, then that was an option for him," O'Connor said. "We felt like he wanted to pursue this rather than go back to school."

Utah scout Troy Weaver said Miles had a high basketball IQ and the team was excited about his overall court knowledge. Miles will play on Utah's summer league team this month.

This is a hit for Texas, but the Longhorns should still challenge for the Big 12 and national titles.

Texas returns one of the top point guards in the country in Daniel Gibson (14.2 ppg). Forward P.J. Tucker (13.7 in 17 games last season before being ruled academically ineligible) is expected to return. Also coming back are big man Brad Buckman (12.5 ppg), center LaMarcus Aldridge (9.9 in 16 games before missing the rest of the season with a hip injury) and reserve guard Kenton Paulino and reserve forwards Dion Dowell and Mike Williams.

Without Miles, the Longhorns' recruiting class includes three guards: junior college transfers Craig Winder and J.D. Lewis, and freshman A.J. Abrams.

cmon man, if you know the retail price of a certain shoe style is 200+ and is being sold online for less than 100 its FAKE. you will never EVER see legit bape sta go for less than 100.

if you're looking on ebay to find yourself some shoes, look for a seller thats posting his ebay ID tag and "todays date" written on paper next to his shoes. seller should also have a good history selling shoes also. if they can't do that then something must be wrong. also ask for multiple shot angles.

also, wholesale on rare, hard to find & expensive (retail) shoes is unheard of.

going through all this is a hassle but when you're willing to spend a whole lot of money on anything, its necessary.

as for knowing specific details on fake bape sta, i don't have a fuckin clue sorry.

the only online "retailer" for shoes that i know of thats legit is "INSTYLESHOES.COM"

i wouldnt even think twice about any other site selling bapes for cheap. thats ridiculous

you can also try niketalk's buy/sell forum (thats where i go when i have the urge to "waste" my money). most nt'ers are legit providing they have a good list of references. prepare to get your ass flamed like fuck if you ask stupid questions on there though.

My closet is just tees, some polos, some hoodies and some jeans (as far as everyday, street wear goes). I've got a couple Bape hoodies and shirts to top it off, along with some other pretty expensive shit. I'm rocking a few Japanese brands right now, but I only wear that kind of shit once or twice. You can't really even rock the same Bape shit more than 1 or 2 times before you look like Marge Simpson off that episode where she kept recycling that one Chanel dress.

Plus, I have kicks. Kicks that other dudes don't have.

You can find cool, cheap t-shirts anywhere. Buy a couple of pairs of jeans that will look good, without really standing out (so you can wear them a lot), some kicks that you can rock with a lot of stuff (like some white AM 90's or something, or Air Forces if you must...), and let that be that for now.

Let's say you recently either lost a ton of weight, or put on a ton of weight, and all your old clothes don't fit anymore. You don't have a lot of money, and having more clothes is more important than having the nicest at this point--once you have the volume, you can concentrate on getting nicer stuff. How would you go about doing this?

Well if you just put on a "ton" of weight I would try to loose that. What's the point in buying stuff now, what if you build your wardrobe then loose weight. I would suggest saving up a lil money then you can wait till certain stores have sales. The Mervins and TJ-max by me realy dont have a great selection. Not even a third of what is mentioned above /\ .

You can get some levis for around ~30-40$ when on sale, plus some nice button ups for around ~20-30 at Mervins or tj-max( if you are lucky enough to have one that has a good selection)then wait till foot locker has those 2 for 80$ sales, take a homei and cop a pair of nice kicks for 40$. All together you have a nice outfit for like ~110$

hmmmm, another option is...
I got a homie that has a small wardrobe, I think he owns like 3 pairs of jeans 1 pair of slacks and i think like 5 shirts, but he keeps all his gear crisp. Say, when we go to school(in the morning) he will have on some levis and usually a reg t-shirt with some 50-60 shoes. Now when school is over and we go chill at his crib, he will take of his shirt and put it on a hanger and hang it outside. Then just walk around with his white T-shirt, and throw on some chucks. Depending on where we are going or have to go do something he will just grab his shirt of the hanger and carry it on his shoulder till we get to where we are going. At night he hangs his jeans and airs them out. The next morning he just wears another pair of jeans. Since he didn’t really wear his t-shirt the previous day he might choose to wear it again or switch. Homie does his jeans and shirt twice a month, but washes his socks and underwear regularly. If you don’t want to spend money you don’t have too. Plus homie is broke and aint got much(working thru school).

I don’t know your situation or what your style is like. but my suggestion is save up and spend it wisely. You don’t have to blow a lot of money to look good.
Me myself I would rather buy a ok item than a bunch of cheap looking items. I buy stuff prob ~ every 2 months, unless it rather cheap liek socks or white-tees. and when i do buy stuff its usual 1 or 2 shirts or 1 pair of jeans and 1 shirt or a pair of shoes and a shirt. I try to save up around 300$ every 2 months for shopping, but dont always spend it. This allows me to buy one really expensive item later like a new flat screen monitor or a new sub... stuff like that. I dont blow a shitload of money of clothes but i do save up cus i know in about 2 months ima see something hot that i am going to like and want.

Yo .. my parents are gonna give me a GRIP for my b-day so I can get a lot of clothes/shoes before I go to university.

I havent been keeping up on shoes since school let out (i havent cared enough to try to impress) so I need to know some stuff that will be hot this summer until the early fall, shoe wise.

Keep in mind I'm biased toward Nike/Bapes. Like REAL BIASED, if it's not sick looking dont even mention it. I dont really like the way Reeboks and Adidas are shaped. Other shoes in general I dont like, actually.

So I was checking out some shoes my cuz had, they were low top Nike's with a metallic silver top, and then the green/red/yellow around the sides and the back. They looked sick as fuck. Are those new or old?

Personally, I wouldn't care about getting kicks that came out this summer, and will be "in" until fall. Pick up classic shit that'll never get old. Find some Jordan V's. Find some IV's (not lasers...). Pick up some Penny's, some Air Max 90's or 95's or something.

As long as you don't fuck them up, you'll be able to rock any of those for your entire college career. Nevermind just until the fall.

I shop at TJ Maxx, Burlington, places like that all the time. I'm just curious how other people go about accumulating options as opposed to just going for specific expensive stuff. I also have about 30 of those 4-dollar FTL/Hanes monochrome t-shirts from Wal-Mart. Low maintenance, and I can find something to go with ANYTHING.

I wait for sales to come. Like at Macy's and Foley's, you can get some nice brands (RL,Nautica, Sean John;etc) for cheap when they have those "50 % off plus an additional 25% off" sales. On top of that, you can use the "extra 10-15% discount" coupon that comes in the mail. :clap: lol, i bought this State Property tshirt last month from macy's for only 10 dollars, the original price was 30.( then i realized that they dont carry State Prop. anymore, they were getting rid of the last couple of SP shirts that they had :sad: ) Like Shadowcharlie said, marshalls is also a good place to go. I was there a couple of weeks ago, got a nice Chaps Ralph Lauren polo shirt that originally cost around 30-40$ (IIRC), it only cost 12$ cuz it was on sale. lol, when i was at the store, it reminded me of this line from this old kanye west song, where he said "Stay gettin' somethin' off lay-a-way at Marshall's"

if you're looking for something comfortable, any shoe from the "air max" series is perfect. i would also go with shox and air prestos and any nike running shoe.

beware of FAKES (so many fake air max '95 & '97) on ebay.

you can't go wrong with any of those styles. i like wearing my air storm pegasus everywhere.

not feeling ANY of them. like...half of them IMO are bland colors that don't stand out. the other half are colors that completely clash. i'm glad that they aren't limiting where they put colors on the shoe though. like for example, i want to see a single colored patent leather bape. that hasn't been done yet.

Nah those arent the shoes I'm talking about. I should have paid more attention. I might be able to find what I was talking about in a Eastbay mag. The sides could have been black .. but I know for a fact that it was silver on the top, and green/yallow/red in the back. They look like low top air forces, not running shoes.

I'm definitly going to get atleast one. I will either buy two bapes now and then by one Marvel bape. Or buy one now and buy two Marvel bapes. I still need to see more picture of them before I decide.

From the pictures shown the ones that I like/match my clothing are the Cyclops and Silver Surfer. But I wouldn't mind wearing the Thor or Human Torch since their colors are sick.

I'm just hoping that when they drop, they drop at $300 a pair and nothing more.

yo.....i went in to versace the other day trying to find out the 411 on the fall and winterline....my mission was to get a picture of their winter goose down jacket...keep in mind that over the almost 9 years I've been in the atl I've seen alot of rare versace jackets at the versace in lenox mall...now there is another versace across the street in a higher class smaller mall called phipps plaza but the one in lenox carries a few (no a lot) of more urban hip hoppyier style jackets...there is a sales girl there that is really cool and she said that for this fall and winter versace is releasing a nice line of clothes with more of a urban edge...this new shit should be in there store anyday now....soon as I get pis I will post them.....

ive seen people use the bleach pen on carhartts and it looked pretty good. as with freyeing, just take a sharp blade on the part you want freyed and rub lightly back and fourth.

as for the freying, i would suggest doing it. it gives the shoe more "character" lol

they are overpriced. the site is trying to get some money out of the deal though, as far as bapes. the thing *I* don't get is that they are TOO overpriced. they cost 190 -tax in the store. pondon sells them on ebay for like 240 plus 30 or so shipping. conceptshop.com.hk sells them for around 310 shipping included. and those are the NEWEST ones, up to months in advanced before vintagekicks gets them. vintagekicks gets the same shoes a month later and tries and sell them for around 330? hell no.

stick with pondon on ebay or conceptshop.com.hk if you're looking for the latest bapes at the lowest prices.

i could see how someone would go to vintagekicks though. its a u.s. based site so you know you're getting it straight from the u.s. and there are a lot of ppl that don't trust ebay or some hong kong based site or don't know about pondon, conceptshop, etc., the only thing is the price...

yeah, the nike dunks...its hard to say if they are overpriced. i feel that the orange and brown ones(steve forbes i think) and the boca jr ones are overpriced. awhile back you could get those dunks for like 230 and 120 respectively on pickyourshoes.com but now they sold out pretty much. so you have to pay the vintagekicks.com price if you want them.

now the newer dunks and air force ones on vintagekicks, i dunno because thats the only site i've seen them on so i can't tell if those are overpriced or not.

Lately I've trying to hunt some dunk low sb's locally and have found 2 places that both had around 3-4 of these babys and i was surprised. Heres my expirernce last night at the mall.

I head inside and see footlocker so i would think they would have them, so i ask the sales rep "hello, do you carry dunk lows?" and he rep says "no i'm sorry we don't". I glance at the rack to see 1000 ugly black basketball shoes that look the exact same but a single dunk low :tdown:

So I head over to another place called Famous Footwear and ask the guy "Hey do you have any dunk lows for sale?" the sales rep with a clueless face "umm what are those?" me "WTF!!!! GTFO newb!!!" how can anyone sell shoes without knowing what dunk lows are. Everywhere in the mall I went to about 6 shoe stores and they all didn't have them im like damn i should be their finacial consultant i could help their sales so much :tup:.

dunk lows are very hard to find outside of certain spots. they only drop in certain skate shops (other places if you're lucky *might* *somehow* pick them up). if you don't live near one of those spots then you're out of luck unless you cop them over the net. thats why the sb's tend to be overpriced. the real retail price is supposed to be around 69.95 for lows iirc, but many retailers up the price because of how hard they are to find, and if something like say the stussy dunk drops, you know it will eventually be rare so they up the price moreso than other dunks.

employees in those kind of stores can't possibly know about the shoes you're looking for as those stores don't have sb, quickstrike, hyperstrike, etc nike accounts.
you'll have to find boutique shops around your area, and to do that go to nikeskateboarding.com as havoc said. the shops listed will probably have other nike accounts carrying all different kinds of styles & colors.

the only thing good about mall shoe stores like footlocker, footaction etc are jordan brand shoes imo.

i would spend 300 not on bapes but on some OG nike basketball shoes like zoom flight v's, og air penny ii (black/blue), olympic air more uptempo, space jam xi's (in ds/nds condition of course) to name a few. i never buy shoes for attention. i mean, if i buy a shoe that i like that happens to get me some attention then cool i guess... but i dont go buying shit for the sake of getting noticed. LMAO.
