d+1+2,2,D/F+3,1,2~vts cancel,1~f+2+4 does 71(character specific paul sized characters and bigs)
d+1+2,2,d/f+3,1,2,3+4~1+3 its like a half cancel to get the throw but it has to be done just as fast as the regular cancel does 67 and gives great oki. Note you can also do the ff+1+2 and that does 80+ but timing is real ugly.

Like what should I do. I got this professor who gave me a c in this class when I know that I got a b. the only thing we got grades on were tests and one paper. I got one c and 2 b's on the test and a b on the paper. The only problem is all the grades were hella curved in the class. And if we went by the regular university scale then really I earned a c. Ok just read the tekken 5.1 stuff and Im a little upset. Maybe the new moves or stuff that hasnt been found yet might balance it out but as of right now it doesnt sound like the changes have really helped gameplay.

Like no tech catch take characters like ganny and roger down, way down for no particular reason. It also takes out a lot of the strategy in a match up. Like decisions you had to make after being knocked down. Whether to backroll or tech or get straight up to avoid certain knockdown set ups. From what it sounds like you can just techroll everything.

Being able to block during a techroll was not needed what was however is the ability to tech off the wall. Which appears not to have made the cut.Because there have been reports on bryan wall combo's and no mention of being able to tech.

other things that dont make since is like making it easier for people to spam the best move in the game chang elbow by making the set ups for it easier.

Or the marduk shit no addressing how rediculously easy it is to break the tackle(d+1 or just 1 will break the tackle animation). But instead they make his one of his two reliable lows (which is hella punishable) even more so. There is like no reason to duck against him now.

Other things that dont make since is giving king more damage after the tombstone which is a throw that does more damage than the gs without teching it. But not addressing the break properties of his throws. He literally has five+ throws that are all broken with 2(three of his chain throws,tombstone,isw,and 2+4)

But this is only early reports. There are still new moves to be discovered, Other gameplay changes such as move properties etc., and 2 new characters which for the love of me Im hoping one is not jinpachi. Another good thing is that everyone will stop whoring nina and steve. You'll get to see how good people really are when they come from under the protective covering of a top tier. Tournaments are going to start looking different.

She can't catch any techer with elbows(which is gonna hurt her worse than Mardy's d+4 change). She has NO low moves. d+3 takes off dick. Tech block was a necessary evil though. Think about this you can grab out of techs now! Low grab for duckers. It prevents lame shit like Nina's infinite and Bryan's d+3,2 even Eddie's b+3,3. No more helicopter resets for Raven :clap: .

Im not as mad that they included tech blocking but I would still rather have wall teching. Most of the hellation damage thats cause in this game is against the wall. They mentioned damage scaling on grounded hits but I wonder if they at least included damage scaling from wall combo's.

Early reports dont look good. And Im kind of upset that the jerks that did the report didnt do a full report and only focused on the god tiers. Then again they might not have had a lot of time, would have been easier if namco just told everybody whats what.(dont see the point of being secretive at this point since its going to be released next week).

You're miss understanding, yes I can hit 6 elbows off the CH 4, but it never hits like that. CH 4 is high first of all, second it has little to no priority unless your are just asking for a kick to the grill. As far as 9-10 elbows, thats not what the deal is, the follow up to CH 4 is damn near just frame timing and character specific. They just made it a little easier. Besides, think of the characters whose CH 4 takes 50+%: Law, Lee, Paul, Bryan and I'm sure Nina gets a uf+1 which = death.

So I mean its not even noticable IMO. Yeah maybe Marduk couldv'e been left alone, but there could be some Korean shit thats whorish that we don't know about that needed fixing.

And, yes I will go Steve against a Nina player and Jules against a Feng player in this tourny. OrthAdonis hooked me up with a high level top tier training dummy last night.

Well Its not some korean shit or anything. People were complaining that the d+4 is non-parriable. But because its non-parriable its hella punishable. If you block a marduks d+4 you pretty much get any while rising in the game or hell people like steve can crouch cancel into a d/f+2 if your fast enough. I think the only exceptions are marduks own ws+3 which is hella slow. The way it is now is if it hits it recovers fast enough to be used as a mix-up. So what that translate to is a barely damaging poke thats punishable for 50% life by characters like paul and such. With the change its not going to even recover on hit. Meaning its going to be even more punishable on block and not effective as a mix-up on hit. He only has two low pokes and this was by far his main one. Unless they make FCd/f+4 less punishable or faster this severely hurts his game. The more I read about it a lot of people are being taken down a whole peg or two whether they need it or not. Im not really worrying about it though cause its not coming out here for at least six months if then(cause we never got the damage patch either).

Hell by then everybody will be getting ready for tekken 6 or tag 2. I might even pick up SC3 which is looking really interesting right now.

Well mike checked out the hard drive you said and the hdd loader. The max hard drive was about 99 to 110 dollars with rebates and crap, while the hdd loader is only around 39 bucks at ebgames. Granted the max was about 80 gbs and the loader is only 40 gbs. If you say that it is possible with the loader then I think that I will pick up the hdd for now and maybe pick up a larger hard drive down the road if need be.

Oh boy that was the most fun I had playing tekken in quite sometime. Playing your boy mikes ganny was hella fun. The rush down tactics in tekken is damn refreshing after months of seeing endless turtles. I understand what bernard was saying now when he was like we should speed the tempo up some. The marvel shit was stupid too. I havent seen dumb ass lock downs like that since ggx. Your boy is damn good what was that like 27 wins in a row then he took a smoke break and ran another 11 straight and you guys are damn good so that was hella impressive. Adonis I really thought you were going to do the lighting storm combo it really looked like you had it. Good to see you logan you were hella missing in action. I've been playing mokoto lately(not easy)and I having problems doing her heavy stun combo off of her saII.
I can do the karakusa,fpxxsaII,sjc qcb+mk,mp hayate,fp hayate.

However when doing the saII,dash, fukiage,dash, fukiage I cant get the fukiage to connect. I dont know if its a reverse dp motion for both fukiage after the dash or if its just a kara fukiage after the dash. Trying all day kind of fustrated right now need a little help.

I don't know that much about makoto but i know when i tried to do that combo you're talking about a lot of times I had to do a reverse DP motion cuz the dash crosses you to the other side. But hey it sounds like you're doing real combos we need to get a 3s gaming session on soon and see what's really good son!

Naw a guy had a vid of the combo when he posted it. It's two fukiages 100% stun combo is the name of the vid. He just didnt say if the fukiages had to be done with a reverse motion. Thanks though now I can go practice that crap.

Question with hugo too. I've done the hp clap,lp clapxxHM but after like the fourth hit of HM it whiffs. is it like character specific or is there another reason its missing mid combo.

Oh yeah tell me if this is crap or not. With hugo I can get hcb+k,Hp clapxxmegaton press, but I read somewhere that you can get in three claps before the megaton press. I've been trying but I think that its crap.

I don't know about three claps before megaton, sounds either impossible or character specific, or maybe post stun juggle.

Best thing to do with hcp+k is do it in the corner and finish with clap --> backbreaker

the 2 fukiage combo might be character specific and thats what you have to watch for most in 3s. If you can't seem to hit a combo on a character then it might not work on that char in particular. And the full stun part is def char specific, pretty sure you can only stun Akuma 100% with sa2 combos, maybe some other low stun char

Hey guys, I've been playing alot of MK2 lately. Yeah, I know its broken but its still fun. When are we getting down on some games?

Logan and I were thinking of holding an informal all around tournament of sorts, lemme explain:

I proprose an ongoing tournament to see who is the most well-rounded sf'er in the crew/Tally/anyone who wants to game with us

Format:
Round robin
Best 2 out of 3

Now this would take too long to do all in one sitting so the way I propose it is that we just set up matches at get togethers we have and keep a running tally of the match wins and losses. Then once everyone who wants to play has played everyone else we could tally up the total wins of each player and rank everyone according to their wins.

This is pretty informal so there's no real obligation to anyone to be anywhere at a certain time. So anyone who wants in just say so and the next time we're at a get together we'll set up matches between the people who are there, etc. You can even play in only a few games if you want but you'll just get zeros for wins in the other games.

What do you girls think?

So that in the rare occurance one person wins three and another wins the other three theres not any debate over who's really the best in tally. Since at the very least placement in the final game will determine who's really the shit.

actually i'm not.. i haven't seen many combo videos.. i've seen maybe 6 so far and most of them aren't really that difficult to do.. the only problems i have are the multiple ewgf's and getting u/f+4,4,3,4,1,2 with lee.. i've got it to 100% on marduk but maybe 15% of the time on every other character except ling.. i can't seem to hit her at all w/ the 1,2.

Cause to say that you can do every combo is a big statement cause there are a ton of vids out there and some are in the realm of damn near impossible to do on a regular basis. Sorry for the double post. But I just got through watching these match video's from TZ. Im wondering why we havent made any match vids. Our matches are usually better then maybe 75% of the vids that I've seen since t5 came out.
When tag was the junk I cant remember watching too many vid that werent of good quality. But with t5 there is just a bunch of crap out there. The combo vid in T5 have been solid, but in some match vids I just end up wondering why would someone post this. For someone to post a match vid I feel that it should have a lot of high level play envolved. Meaning strats combo etc. I just watched a match vid of a feng and asuka player and the feng player literally did d/b+3 the entire match. Not the first or second round but the entire match and won. Why would you post a match vid of that. I dont have any answers so if anybody can answer please feel free to do so cause Im lost. I thought the vids were for other people to learn from and improve there games, I cant learn anything from most of the match vids out there.

There are exceptions like some national and qualifing for national vids. There have been some nice korean match vids as well. And once again this does not include combo vids since most of those have been damn good.

If you're watching anything else then you're probably just watching low-mid level players mimicking the strats they saw in vids from points 1-3 above.

You need a capture card and a fairly capable computer. You run a video line into the computer and it records while you play then you edit the recordings.

You can get 1 at almost any video game store. I got mine from EB in Tallahassee Mall for 15 dollars I think. Be warned that some converters don't work well with some controllers and joysticks. I would recommend getting a Magic Box that converts almost any controller to any system, however they are not cheap, but do work well. Not sure where to find magic box, maybe someone on the forums might know.

1. I need help with the movement crap. Like what is a triangle jump or square jump how does this factor into combo's. Like I hear storms infinite is tri jump d/f,roundhouse repeat. What is the commands for that.

2. Tiger knee is that the old sf2 tiger knee motion. And if so would I do the tiger knee motion and then to do the motion for the super or is just the tiger knee motion needed.
i.e: would I input d,d/f,f,u/f+pp_kk or do I need to do d,d/f,f,u/f then quickly do d,d/f,f+pp_kk

3. How important is wavedashing and is it the same command as it is in tekken.

4. Need some combos to go practice and crap. Maybe some easy practical ones. then some More complicated ones, assist combos and I few infinites and near infinites would be nice too. Combos for these characters please.

A tri-jump is a super or normal jump instantly cancelled into a df dash attack. You have to cancel into a dash from the jump/sumperjump really vast, almost instantaneously. Magneto and Storm are the two characters who best abuse this tactic. That's all Mag's ROM infinite is, fast hitting sj upward attacks (close to the ground) followed by tri-jump attacks. Ask Logan to show you how to do it in person. A square jump is just a normal jump or super jump cancelled into a forward dash.

The first one. There are no qcf x 2 motions in Marvel.

It's pretty important and it's much easier than Tekken. A dash is executed with either f,f or LP+HP, and tapping any direction will cancel your dash. So most people wave dash by tapping (LP+HP, d) over and over. It's really easy, the only problem is that sometimes you'll get a jab or a FP instead of a dash.

4. Need some combos to go practice and crap. Maybe some easy practical ones. then some More complicated ones, assist combos and I few infinites and near infinites would be nice too. Combos for these characters please.

Yeah logan showed me how to wavedash and tri jump when he gave me the boot disk. Really cant practice it much with a dreamcast pad. But its cool cause mile said he'll sale me like an extra controller adapter he has. Until then I'll work on some tiger knee supers and wavedashing and basic combo's. Never been a top tier whore but I like storm I think I'll put some work into her. Give me three weeks and I'll be able to kill at least one of you guys characters with hulk/doom/tron.

Is it normal for the cpu of mvc2 to be doing two to three reps of storms and mags infinite. Dont get me wrong the cpu suck balls sacks but its just so funny everytime I see them triangle jumping across the screen.
