Only video game soundtrack that I listen to is Battlefield:Vietnam. Shit is good, cause its just music from that period, nothing else. Bobby Fuller Five, The Box Tops and The Guess Who for the win.

I guess the 3rd Strike soundtrack is alright, but most of the tracks get irritating quickly, save for Remy and Dudley's stages. Those own.

I swear to god...SRK seems to be tuning into me. I JUST DOWNLOADED SONIC THE HEDGEHOG stuff...and was gonna burn a VG music cd. I like the "This Machine" track from Sonic Heroes. I've never even played the game, but my brother and sister do and when I heard it I wanted it.

Pretty much all of my music is either from videogames directly or remixes from www.ocremix.org. Some people hate on it if they know it's game music beforehand, but anyone who listens to it first usually enjoys it and is shocked to find out the source.

- WipeOut XL, WipeOut 3 (both had professional techno artists)
- Persona (Police Station in the "real" world)
- Command and Conquer
- Sonic The Hedgehog from Sonic CD (bad ass)
- Guilty Gear XX #R
- Deus Ex
- Blaster Master (frog stage and ice stage, omfg)
- SFA2 (omg Dhalsim, Sagat, Rose, Akuma, omg)
- Melty Blood (really like Akiha's stage)
- SF3:3S (Ibuki, Akuma, omg)
- Castlevania, Symphony of the Night

I'm sure there's more, but that's just what I can think of off-hand. I usually mix VG music with Anime soundtracks and random techno, heh..

I also have a bunch of remixes from VGMix, for games like Streets Of Rage, Strider, Castle Vania series, etc.

There's one song that I'll always remember and can never find anywhere. It's from the Street Fighter Alpha 2 "Art Gallery" section for the Dream Cast. It's not actually much of a song, so no one ever has it. Damn, I wish I had it though, would be like mad crazy nostalgia.

I like Shin Bisons theme from SFA3, Vegas Club Del Toro OC rmx, that really funky Dhalsim song, The various Guile remixes, all the super SF2 music, GGXX, GGX, F-Zero X, Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye, etc etc etc.

Oh and the RE sex scene clip, thats hilarious!

I have sooooo many CD's of NES, Super NES, PC Engine/Turbografx 16, Arcade, Overclocked Remixes. Some of them are all Megaman, Guilty Gear (only Korean tracks, I can never find all the japanese tracks anywhere else).

One of my CD's are nothing but "Semi-Screwed" versions of my favorite game tunes. In other words I take a WAV of a game tune, put it in Nero WAV Editor, and transpose the pitch it to another note signature and it might sound better than normal.

Been doing this for about 3 or 4 years now, and its not just fighting game music but anything video game u can think of. I love VGM so my library is pretty large.

I didn't realize that this topic was open to all game music--not just fighting music. In that case, I also have music from Outrun2, Sega Touring Car Championship, PS2 Space Harrier and Virtual On on my iPod which I listen to when I'm driving. I also have the "In the Blue Sky" rock remix that is on the SegaRocks CD-- that song is so cool, it sounds like it should be in GGXX!

Castlevania, GGXX, Game Music Concert - The Best Selection cds, C&C, some of the Ys remixes
Star Control 2 stuff, Doom OST, Earthbound NES is rocking - Pollyanna is like the best midi music out there...
and Wipeout XL sorta since I listen to those bands anyway

From what I did, for Capcom arcade games I used a variation of MAME called "CANAME". There's also a feature where you can load the ROM in jukebox form. And you can record off of it. But before loading up the jukebox, be sure to set the emulator screen in window mode because for some godawful reason the X box that closes the window won't work, so you have to close the emulator with Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I played in full screen once, couldn't get out, and I had to shut my computer down the hard way by unplugging and replugging.

As for SMC, NSF's etc, look for a Winamp plugin that converts any file to MP3 or WAV.

When I was little I recorded Megaman 2 music using a tape deck recorder placed right next to the TV speaker. This was all way before mp3s and the internet was commonplace. So you can imagine now, that I have a ton of game-related music accessable in my vehicle.
