Tell me what you guys think?
It has a custom plate that is 6mm thick so the hight is exactly like the cabinet AstroCity. Weight about 3.5Kg (8 pounds?). Insidepics (with cool lexan wiringdiagrams) will be posted soon.

Looks good, but why are stickmakers putting the buttons so far away? Sanwa layout should(?) allow you to play with one hand and this one doesn't.

My guess would be personal preference; thats the true joy of custom stick building.
Sanwa layout might be to congested for some peers.

Hmmm, I want to build my own stick and I'm finding theorizing difficulty(:P) at keeping the thing in one piece and the mounting plate.
How do you attach the mounting plate and how do you hide it? And what do you use to keep the thing in one piece? I'd like to use something that allows quick disassembly(for the most part then) without damaging it.

Hi buddy! Yes, now it is finally finished.

Thanks! The design I made using router and a sandmachine (and other stuff). It takes time, belive me.
It is made of 50mm mdf (yes, 50mm).

Thanks man!

I think it is called that, yes. Maybe I can get a pic of it someday.
Dj_Matrix
Thanks! They are special mountingscrew for wood, I can maybe take a pic of them someday. I have them in goldcolor to ^_^. Also, it is Lexan, not plexiglass (I guess you know this ^_^).
Edit: I countersunk it using this:
http://www.tools4wood.se/catalog/images/267.16_Senker_Holz.jpg
And the screws I am using are these (this is the "gold" model).

454Casull
It is not. Like I said, I will take some pics of them.
EJM, CrotchMonkey, Kyoji.
Thanks!
The size of the box is 310millimeters x 240millimeters (good space for hands). Hight from the back is 50mm and it slants, the front is 38mm.

The Clear bubbly ball top looks pretty strange. Almost looks out of place with the rest of the Kazuya stick, though it's very nice looking either way.

The buyer wanted it so I better not say anything. I think it is rather nice though.

Hi buddy! Hero? L.O.L!

Heh, yeah that VF-stick turned out pretty sweet.

Great job Per! Nice to see your new design finally finished. Looks even nicer than your 3D design! I like the newer black and white stick because of the (nicer) colours. It's bad when customers have bad taste...
Hey Per, try using a 6mm counter-sinking bit. I believe that's the right size for your screws. It won't widen the hole further than the diameter of your screws! Makes a much neater depression.
Now where's those inside pics you promised?
TheRealNeoGeo
08-03-2005, 12:11 AM
Thanks Landel!
The screws are not like regular screws, the head on it is a little bit taller than others, thus the bigger hole. Inside will come later, yes.

To bad it covers a bit of the head but other than that it is ok I think. Gonna change the leverprotectioncover to a white one, that matches the stick better I think. What you guys think?

Nice Sakura stick, and you got a Flash in there.
Got a link to that Kazuya stick you were talking about earlier? I can't seem to find it. :xeye:

The balltops are quite nice yes, gives that little extra.
Thanks, you like the webpage ^_^. You play Ikaruga also (gonna make a custom Ikarugastick with a LS-32 joystick and 3 sanwa RG-buttons and a triangular startbutton (for Gamecube)).

OK, here are some pics:
http://www.arkadesticks.com/waqs1p.htm
This stick has a Flash1 joystick in it and has 2 obsf-24 start/select and 6 OBSN-30RG buttons (yes, screw in RG`s). Black box red ball and buttons (white start/select).
You can also see a "inside pic" on that page, the pcb is covered with a lexan sheet and also has info about the jlf-h and the terminal contacts.
Last pic on the page is of two stickers, 1 flash1 and one jlf-tp-8y (that I made myself, it says "microswitch levaa" in japanese ^_^). Those stickers are on the metal bottom that I use on the bottom of the stick (flashsticker for flashjoystick and the other sticker for the regular sanwa).
Any comments?

Finally get to see the wiring!
Awesome man! Cool wiring with like... hundreds of cable ties...
Really like the diagrams and "Made in Sweden". The diagrams certainly make the use of a barrier strip actually... useful. Heh.
RG switches... interesting.
What're the black washers for? They're underneath the lexan?
Very nice inside pics man. The best so far.
The buttons are mounted on a metal sheet? What kind of metal and how thick?
Looking at your projects again make me think that the base is carved out of one solid piece of MDF.
I really have a huge urge to take apart everything and examine it closely...
TheRealNeoGeo
08-08-2005, 02:24 PM
Thanks Landel!
Black washers? Inside or outside (what are we talking about here)?
The metal is galvanised metal, 2mm thick.

Do you create the artwork yourself too? AND how much do you charge for one of these?!

Thanks for the kind words! I do not make the artwork and all of these you see here are already sold. I do customsticks but not untill end of September (have a lot of things to do).
