OK I've taken an interest in this game as of late so I'm going to bite the bullet and organize a tournament.

Game: Street Fighter Alpha 3 (US980904)

Emulator: MAME32 0.64

Date: Sunday August 21st

Time: 9:00pm Eastern Standard Time

Format: 2/3 Falls, Double Elimination. 3/5 Falls Winners and Losers Finals. 4/7 Grand Finals.

Server: Godweapon Server #2

All brackets will be co-ordinated through an IRC channel of my choosing on the day of the tournament and will be posted in here.

NOTES:

- This tournament will be capped at 32 players. I know there is a massive demand for A3 on Kaillera so if we exceed 32 then the next tournament I'll open it up to 64 players.

- To players who know others that would like to enter but aren't on A) SRK or B) MIRC then please tell them the following. If you do not have MIRC, then get it. Plain and simple. If you are not in the chat room when the tournament starts, I will not register you. The only drawback I've seen to the MOTW tournaments is bouncing between MIRC and the Kaillera servers for the few straggerls who don't want to take the 2 minutes to D/L MIRC.

- Unless someone can provide me a list of the top say... 8 players on Kaillera that can be confirmed by a few others, all seeds will be randomly drawn and the ranks used for future tournaments.

I hope to see lots of people turn out for this considering how often I've been asked to run an Alpha 3 tournament.

Hahaha, massive demand, right. You'll be lucky if you get half that even. Actually, if you can get even 12, I'd say you did well, and if all 12 actually finish up the entire tournament (or rather, play until being eliminated anyways).

There was a 32 man A3 tourney last month.

Actually, i've played Slide in a set of games a LONG time ago, I remember now. His Karin/Guy is beastly.

And when was the last time these guys played? I haven't seen Big 5 on in years, literally. My list was comprised of players who actually had a chance of joining the tournament.

Sad news for everyone (or maybe not). I can't direct this tournament as it's the same night as SummerSlam and considering I'm a huge wrestling fan, that's priority. If anyone would like to step up to direct, it'd be greatly appreciated. My apologies for the inconvenience, I didn't realize there's be a conflict until this evening.

Postpone it, I don't trust anyone else here to run it. The only other tourney someone tried to run here STILL hasn't been completed

Oh yeah, Summerslam forgot about that. In that case, postpone it. I dont want to miss Hogan vs Shawn, as its a one in a life time match, hehe.
