My lackluster return to XBL

so i came back on xbl for the first time in 6 months yesterday. man i dont ever remember live being this fucking shitty. but i do remember the game being so damn random. everyone still plays the random lag tactics (urien fb spamming and random full screen shoulder rush's, etc). cant hit confirm or nothing, i love it! /sarcasm. then dropper central again. sigh

i had 0 good games with everyone i played. ill just stick with hsf, the only good live fighter out. ah well, figure i try

I don't know how you did it, but you hit confirmed Chun-li's super pretty well on me last night.

Our connections were beyond shit though.

Also Oro's unblockables/juggle combos in lag? My hats off to you.

it wasnt real hit confirming tho. it was more guess work than anything. 90% of the time when i would see it, it wouldnt come out. offline, rarely will a connected c.forward not follow up with a super.

as for oro unblockables, i was using the ghetto setup =). yeah games were lagged to death tho. oh well. i think ill just stick with ae, since its playable heh

I figured. Hit confirm is simply impossible online. Did you notice when I hit you with c.MK and then you recover and THEN my SAII comes out. YEah thats what happens when you try to truely hit confirm online :rolleyes:

Ghetto setup or not, I was just impressed you are able to do the MP xx :dp: :mk: rinse repeat on me. That shit is tricky timing even offline. Actually your play in general impressed me. It reminded me alot of what I encountered at Evo.

well combos are easy to pull off online. its the gameplay element thats pointless. you just cant play realistically at all. but what are ya gonna do ya know?

only characters i cant do chicken combos to online are shotos since you have to be dead perfect on timing, so i just launch into super on them. then of course yun/yang/hugo of course. its simple on everyone else even with some lag.

heh i killed my evo pool with oro, except for c-royd. decent match tho

I play every once in a while, and it just pisses me off. Scrubs beat me because half my crap doesn't come out, every time i have an opportunity to combo into a super it just screws up. I blame it on the xbox pad and lag though. I also try to parry EVERYTHING, so scrubs end up hitting me with the easiest combos or cross ups. But I'm a scrub too.

exodus: that wont make a difference. its how well your isp can send packets in a round trip. it has nothing to do with how much data you can upload and download. that part is irrelevant for the most part that people just fail to understand..

well its not that i cant get moves out. its just getting em out when i need to, but im always a fraction of a second too late cuz of the delay. blah blah, people will just say adjust. but you cant when certain things reguire that fraction of a second to do something. oh well

I cant seem to get the unblockables for the life of me so Ive always stuck with SA3.

I agree sabre, I get hit my scrub things that are EASY to block without lag. For example, Alex's dumb head stomp. Or when you are doing wake up attacks and it comes out a fraction too late.

Was a really good connection (IMO), so I wasn't surprised by the stuff you pulled off with Oro and Yang.
