GG's to Athan in Garou.
Good games to BBQ in KoF2k2. Finally, a good kof player after 20+ constantly OCVed opponents (besides Dj lindo). Also, I found it odd how Arstal (tsubame), complained to BBQ that he was tired of fighting high tier opponents. tsubame, your posts on SRK are misleading, because you act(and play) like a total scrub online.

gg's in SSF2T to Sanctimonious
Not sure what to say about him. I mean he's real tough and played the game great so I have no problem giving him props, but he claims he's on keyboard. A guy that can do all specials seemingly every time on command on free select speeds 2 & 3 has incredible speed and accuracy no matter what, but to do it online on Mame with a keyboard (and he even hit Zangief's 720 in the heat of a battle)...eh...I don't know. I can't disprove him but seems real flakey to me.
Granted, I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm using a stupid PS2 pad and I can't stand it. I'm really no good at execution unless I'm on the real deal, an arcade cabinet and using a stick. Even when playing on my MAS on the DC version of ST my execution goes down. Something about the arcade feel and experience I guess. Now just because my execution sucks away from arcades doesn't mean everyone else is the same way, but c'mon, doing all this on keyboard? But whatever, vgg's either way and even more props to you for keyboard play if that's true. :karate: Hope we meet again.

Good Games to chunli4u. She was a little odd for a bit, saying "chunli4u" when she would win a round or say "(your character)4me" when you would beat her. After a while, she would start to talk, but a little wierd. She has a pretty good Chun. I think we split our games.

It's very possibly, seeing as how I can do many of the big 100% damage combos in kof2k2, on a keyboard. When I began playing, the joystick/pad players said it was pointless and that I'd never be good with the keyboard, yet I've now surpassed most of those players, or atleast gotten to their level. The 720 with Zangief can be done if you arrange your direction buttons all in a row. For example, a 720 can be done with ASDFASDF.

Its much easier to hit specials in turbo 2/3, and its a lot easier to hit 720s online after a tick online than offline. Besides, I know for sure that kid doesn't cheat How do I know? I am him, and he is me :karate: . Ever since those EVO STs vids came out I've been cheating on my Kal celibacy. Plus I have a lot more free time than I thought :)

Well, if you are sanctimonious....then ggs is guess. however, i have played you and do know what vega says is true....but it's ok having a macros and being able to do 1 button specials.....it is really ok to admit that....you dont really gain anything by doing gief 720s on people on 'reaction' or standing 360s everytime......so when you decide to continously lose to ST Bison, against someone who is really on a keyboard, a shitty $10 Micro Innovations one from Wal-Mart, then talk some shit...otherwise keep on cheating and you will be good.

Do I know you? I only managed to land 720 ONCE on him. Even though I tried like 50 times. I guess i should return, whatever it is you were talking about because it doesn't work that well :xeye: It also doesn't let me wakeup dp more than 60% of the time because I got hit by all 5 hits of a meaty Vega claw roll 4 out of 10 times I tried to reversal. Damn these inconsistent macros and faulty micro innovations!
If you can't read the sarcasm, then here's it in a nutshell, you're a hater who thinks he/she is too good to lose to anything besides cheating. Why don't you go accuse DGV or Endy of using macros? They bust out everything FAR more consistently than me and Endy can combo Ryu super off cr. mk in ST !!!! I can't do that online OR offline!!!! Must be hacks because I personally can't do it

if you put it on asdf wouldnt it be harder to pull off snk style motions and the like.or is it, a is up, then s is left, d is down, and f is right then what about aerial moves like tiger knee or something that goes up

You can make two sets of directional buttons. For example, your normal directions can be Z, X, C, S, and the the ones for the 360/720's can be Q, W, E, R, where Q is left/right, W is down, E is left/right, R is up.

I have played DGV, but not Endy. DGV is O.K. and he does land combos quite consistently. Landing combos online isn't hard at all when you have good latency. Hell, I can do combos consistently on a shitty ass keyboard, that isn't the issue. If what Vega says about his matches are greatly exaggerated, then that's on him. I didn't personally witness said matches, I was just affirming the fact that I played against you either yesterday (sunday) or saturday. And I have seen first hand that you hit a few too many SPDs and other very reactionary-type moves. Maybe you really are that good, and if you aren't cheating in any way, then MAD props son.

Ryu1999 is the real fucking deal.
Beleive me
this man speaks the truth
Ryu1999 been killing folks forever.
i've been taking his beatings since Fall of '02.
I guess this is what I get for opening my mouth, and I never learn. Humble pie never tastes good, I assure you guys.
Ryu1999, hey what's up? I know ya. We've played before, just never under this new name, and I'm sure we'll play again. Honestly I guess those ST vids worked out for you because I don't remember your execution being this good before no matter what you use for a controller, so keep up the hard work. Since so many people come out of the woodwork to vouch for you I guess I can't be skeptic anymore. Sorry. And apparantly you have a lot of friends willing to stick up for you. :wgrin: I assure you it wasn't something I felt personal about anyway but I was real skeptic. Oh finally, you need to change that avatar. Portraying Vega as Ryu's gay dick sucker doesn't exactly sit well with me. Come on man, have mercy, he's always been my best and favorite character.
VegasMagic, how ya been man? I hope to see you and Ohio in about a month at that Bloomington, IN tournament for ST. Lots of good players are looking to show so it should be interesting. Hell, surprisingly ST has been getting the most talk of all the games so more power to us. :karate: So anyway, what's your username on kaillera? Mine is immortal, so maybe we'll hook up sometime. However, like I said before, don't expect anything super special. I've never been a real fancy player anyway but online and with a pad isn't cool. Anything except arcade and maybe DC on my Mas, and I'm a fish out of water. Haha.
Some of you other guys who play ST I guess (Axor, Emil, Musashi) let's hook up sometime. I'm not on often but, yeah, if you see me (immortal) on one of the GodWeapon servers then maybe we can hit up some ST. I'm decent at CE too, if that's more for you. I have no business playing HF but I don't care, it's free and fun practice so I'm game.

Sorry, but I really hate the Vega char design. Not to take anything away from you but he's impossibly easy to pick up and own people with. He has almost no disadvantages. You'd think he would be at a loss without a a projectile since most ST matches turn into boring firefights for half the match but he has a fast jump so projectiles outside of O. Sagat are no problem. He has a fast walk AND ridiculous throw advantage. Unlike Chun Li, who has the same properties, teching his throw dosn't leave vega ata huge disadvantage. Add in wall dive shenanigans whose threat is more AI controlled than anything the player has to do , and you got one stupid character. Im not even mentioning his godly range and normal priority :-/.
But I have to admit, most characters are boring as hell and retardedly easy in ST (cough Honda/Balrog), so don't think Im hating on only Vega players.

vgg's and you got some great execution online
From now on people should ignore my rants about my sucky online execution cuz I'm about the only one it seems.
You damn kids and your keyboard shotos and grapplers (and dirty Dhali).
I do apollogize a bit for the Vega tactics. It's not like we were in a tourney for serious $$$ or something but yeah, I got caught up in the gay wall dive craziness. Haha.
See ya around man. And as far as that matchup, I don't see Cole on here much but in the past when I've wanted help from Apoc, he magically stops in everytime. He might know something about Dhalsim's chances.

Don't apologize. It was my fault for not having a counter strategy. Zoning didn't seem to be an option, lol.
All I really seemed to do was try to keep the drill pressure on you and hope to god I kept you on the ground.
Yoga blast helped for a few of the wall dives, but I couldn't get it out fast enough most of the time. Lag was part of it, but it was mainly that I wasn't waiting for the right opening.
Gian makes fighting everyone with Dhalsim look so easy.
Cole seems to frequent the SSF2T thread on the main fighting game discussion enough.
I asked for some help with classic 'rog, and he scribbled something down for me fairly quickly.

I was gonna put this in bg thread, but this is so funny, I got quite a laugh out of it, so it became a gg.
Player with weird name xyz-987 or something like that, not good at A3, I was practicing/experimenting some Raging demon setups on him. Went on for 8-9 matches. He then said raging demon is cheap because it can't be avoided. I told him to try, so he tried to do one, after I told him how to do it, for a while round, can't get it out. Dude slammed a move he didn't even know how to do.
So I said matter of factly that he has no skill and needs practice, then he asked if I have xbox live, I don't. He went on to say he would've owned me. So I got curious because it's pretty unlikely someone as him could beat me, and asked him which game. He told me Dead or Alive Ultimate... and boasted how he is top 100 in the world in that game. I was about to burst out laughing but then I just said you are too good for me and left.

I was about to burst out laughing but then I just said you are too good for me and left.
Are there even 100 players worldwide for that game?

Speed combos are "seriously easy" to learn.
Power links, knowing how and when to low jump, parry/throw timing, and actually learning to outthink your opponent aren't.
Power links are probably some of the most difficult combos I've ever seen in a fighting game. You think links in Street Fighter games are bad? Try linking 4 hits in a row into a super move. The only problem with power links is that some of them are difficult to do online because the timing on them is very very strict, but I do one know one guy that can seemingly do them almost 100% of the time regardless.

GG to Emil... I guess. He wouldn't even GG back at the end of the series.
Hotaru = The Cheap.
Because doing an early jumpin into a throw is a lag tactic. When you land from a jump, there is frame delay where you can be ground comboed. Each and every time you did that, you were supposed to be ground comboed, but nope, I got thrown every single time, thanks to input delay. In addition, you take tons of risks as if you don't even care about what you are doing...even if I repeatedly combo you, you still do anti-airs on wakeup, among other things. That's what I meant when I asked you, "why the hell would you do that?" The onlyl way to beat that is to sit there turtling waiting for you to pull out a laggy move. Sorry but for those reasons, I do not consider them good games. The funny thing is, there would be no reason to worry about that stuff against a good player like Lando, because he would never ever take such risks unless he was reacting to something. Hence, it is then safe to play "properly" against him instead of turtling like an idiot. If you had played with...a bit more logic, then I'd have no problem saying GG.
Edit: And yet, in our first session, YOU were the one attempting to give me tips on Jae Hoon and whatnot.I don't need any tips, my gameplay is adopted from how I've watched offline tourney Garou players...and oddly enough, I don't see your style used in those offline matches, because it is suicidal. And sadly, those offline tactics are just hindered far too much by lag and delay, the majority of your moves were Just Defend bait.
Edit2: Hopefully you take this as constructive criticism on how to improve (ie, not doing punishable moves unless you are REACTING to something), instead of just dismissing it as "trash talk".
Edit3: Good games to pepe maniak in kof2k2. He is one of the best...but way too dependent on crossups.

OK let's pull it back a bit. We'll get rid of the obvious first, if you're going to complain about "lag tactics" then don't play online. I gave up on trying to play games like ST and MOTW online with the tactics I'd use offline because simply put they don't apply. Online and the variables that go with it necessitate changes. You either adapt or you get smacked, plain and simple.
Now as for my playing style being "suicidal" that's quite frankly ridiculous. Lag and input delay don't mean jack shit when you're being baited into something. If I throw out a poke string (ex with Rock = j.hk s.hp xx light tackle) and leave a pause for you to throw a poke before I super, that's bait, that's not suicide. The fact that you're eating this simple string over and over isn't lag, that's you reacting when you should be waiting. You mention Lando and I'd use the same tactic on him. The difference being Lando would adapt after the first mistake (maybe the second) and it'd force me to drop the tactic or be punished. Of course the upside when I played you was you were so scared to move by the end that I'd just throw you because you'd expect the "suicidal moves." That's called adaptation and that's why I win a hell of a lot more than I lose. I'm one of the top CvS2 players in Ontario because I understand why people do what they do. I lay out obvious baits because people fall for obvious baits and they get punished for it. That doesn't change when you take it online or even when the game is changed like with MOTW. It may be easier for me to get away with but the underlying tricks works online or offline. I know this because I play MOTW offline with numerous opponents and my shit still works out the same.
As for the rest...
I gave you tips on Jae Hoon because you're following through with j.hk c.hk xx slide despite all of it being blocked and punished accordingly. You do it over and over, you get hit over and over, you lose the match over and over. I don't need to play a training dummy. Also, I don't see what's wrong with JD bait tactics. If you're able to read it so easily, why are you still falling for this stuff? I could see your point if you were winning a lot more but I'm beating you on a what... 3:1, 4:1 ratio?
Thanks for the constructive criticism, I'll take it into account the next time I'm winning my match and pondering why I'm such a crap player who only loses to a select few people online and dominates his offline scene.

Umm, I didn't eat it over and over, I blocked and you still did rising tackles. Your gameplay strategy is incredibly inconsistent, because if you were to screw up just once, you'd get mass comboed. Now if you were to react to my jab after the attack string, that is another story, but you obviously didn't since I blocked (even Just Defended) your rising tackle many times. It is a mindless tactic.
Of course the upside when I played you was you were so scared to move by the end that I'd just throw you because you'd expect the "suicidal moves." That's called adaptation and that's why I win a hell of a lot more than I lose.
Except that wasn't why you were able to land the throw on me. Online is so misleading...
I'm one of the top CvS2 players in Ontario because I understand why people do what they do. I lay out obvious baits because people fall for obvious baits and they get punished for it.
Top player? How? Just one blocked random move of yours and you're dead with anyone who knows how to combo atleast half decently.
That doesn't change when you take it online or even when the game is changed like with MOTW. It may be easier for me to get away with but the underlying tricks works online or offline. I know this because I play MOTW offline with numerous opponents and my shit still works out the same.
The point isn't whether it works or not. Most of the time the good players fall for that shit because it doesn't make sense, and are forced to turtle you, or just avoid playing you. If you take kof for example, almost all top players WILL attack you when you are waking up...the other opponent never even attempts to do a wakeup move, because they know the risk involved, EVEN if they know the opponent will attack them on their wakeup. You on the other hand, simply don't care. I Just defended your random Hotaru wakeup dps, and Rock rising tackles, and countered with 70% combos and you just didn't learn. I shouldn't even be telling you this, I've only been playing Garou for at MOST 3 weeks, and that's only a few times a week. I only use general knowledge from kof, as well as some learned tactics from the Garou system, and yet it seems I know what I'm doing more than you do.
I gave you tips on Jae Hoon because you're following through with j.hk c.hk xx slide despite all of it being blocked and punished accordingly.
I don't recall that being punished...unless it was with a throw, and that was only because I didn't decide to jump out of the way.
You do it over and over, you get hit over and over, you lose the match over and over.
Um, our first session was a tie pretty much, and only because I didn't decide to turtle against your wakeup moves. I was actually baffled how someone could play so "blindfoldedly", tossing out punishable moves as if they were jabs. It just doesn't make any sense.
Also, I don't see what's wrong with JD bait tactics. If you're able to read it so easily, why are you still falling for this stuff? I could see your point if you were winning a lot more but I'm beating you on a what... 3:1, 4:1 ratio?
I explained this already. A good player would never take such risks to begin with, because they know the consequences. Your fighting style was not logical, so of course I got hit. But even then, you got JDed far too often, and the majority of your damage was from repeated throws, and I explained why alot of them hit. The fact that all one had to do was block and punish accordingly shows why your fighting style is seriously flawed. If you were to watch the top players, they would never let themselves be open like that, and thus just sitting there waiting for a chance to punish, would not work.
By the way, I'd consider myself near the top in kof2k2 in the servers. You should probably wonder why I have a much easier time fighting the top players, than I do fighting some random-ass player who button mashes and does random shit. I don't lose to them, but it's a hassle to fight, and results in me having to sit back and turtle. The obvious reason is that their fighting style is not logical.
