I was playing offline.

My Ryu vs Remy.

His one super where he throws his projectile like mad. (I can't remember the name at this time)

I parried that shit down. THEN...I go online and almost do it again fighting some guy.

All on purpose. Hope this is a sign of my parrying jumping up in game. I know that is one major spot lacking. I lack in other areas but I know it's one people have exploited a lot when they realize it.

Or maybe I just got fucking lucky twice.
*This is my theory*

For a second, I thought it was gonna be:

dont wanna douche on you man but that's a really easy super to parry.

you wanna work on your parry game then don't worry about supers. maybe learn to parry the last hit of stuff like houyoukusen but otherwise there's not a whole lot of practicality in parrying most supers.

hahahah

No, I get that regularly.

Maybe

I had a foursome that'll be a diffrent story.

I was keeping it SF related.

You dirty minded fool.....I respect that.

Oh yeah it's more of a mind game thing that anything.

Just my parry blows. So it shocked the hell out of me I even did that. Not something I'm practicing with..haha.

Just little confidence booster. Taking baby steps so to speak.

Wtf? If you can parry whole supers in the lag that's kudos for you my friend. I forgot who it was but I almost parried Hugo's SA3 from start to finish when that crap lagged up on me FTL~

Being a parry whore is definately not a necessity, but it definately demands style points =)

Yeah, definetely the easiest super to parry IMHO. It's the only one I've ever fully parried (online).

Hadou Burst is fun. 1-hit parry :)

Yup, kudos on getting the Remy SA1 parry down. Definately one of the easiest, but still one of the better looking parries. Urien's SA1 is another pretty easy one.

Anyone ever parry Oro's Yagyou Oodama online? :)

Hey.

You should try to parry everything! Its only Xbox Live and losses dont matter. You'll pick up losses for sure by trying to parry a lot, but it will get you more used to parrying in-game. Being able to parry or red parry supers can be important. At times when people use tactics like resets to go for a super you dont want to just eat it. Being able to parry single hits to setup your own supers or combos is more important tho.

IMO Necros Electric Snake and Dudleys Corkscrew Blow are some of the easiest supers to parry.

You dont always have to parry a whole super either. I started out aiming to parry them whole but.. If Ken tries SA3 for example, you can parry the first hit then cr.lkx2 xx super or whatever.

You know, I just tried this in training mode and out of my five parrying attempts, I only successfully managed one. So I'm gonna give you props, even if that supposedly reveals me to be a parrying scrub.

I never played 3rd Strike until February and only after all this time am I getting more comfortable parrying non-giant fireball specials. Parried Ibuki's SAI and Remy's SAI the other day in matches, even though I never tried before.

I'll use this thread for a question, how exactly do you parry the last hit in Chun's SAII? I try to think of her "jump forward" as if she was a fireball, but it doesn't seem to work. Any tips?

um i dont quite think there's a trick to it. just go into parry training and try several different timings until one works. eventually the timing will just become a part of your game, i never really miss that parry unless there's lag.

I've tried.... many times. I get it 1% of the time. One time I did it in the match, parried the first hit (guy on the mic goes OH MY GOD) and then I chicken out and block the rest :wow:

wait we're talking about parrying the *last* hit right? the pop-up kick at the end of the super? only way i can full parry houyoukusen is to input the first parry before the super actually comes out.

parry timing for the last hit seems to be sometime before she turns and lifts her leg up to kick and the actual impact.

I meant the very first hit. Is it possible to parry that after the super flash, since I can't really anticipate that early.

describes me to a T. Why o why do i try to parry all the Fn time. I still cant low parry online even when i see the Shotos low kicks coming a mile away.

Chun li's last hit is the easiest thing to parry. If you can parry a fireball then u can parry that last hit. I believe they purposely made it like that to be parried so easily. I luv parrying Ibuki's SAI, every parry is 2 parries and then when ur done "tech hit" keeps flashing on the screen fora long time.

i understand that it's possible but the timing/execution is beyond me. houyoukusen is something you should never actually count on having to parry, but i doubt you need me to tell you that.
