Guys, if we are on a good connection PLEASE don't just give up just because you have zero life left or get hit with a massive attack. I am noticing alot of players just "giving up" and trying again the next round.

Jesse, sometimes I just can't help but give up in frustration because I'm just sitting there in complete disbelief in missing some of the simplest stuff and want to throw the damn controller out the window. There's quite a few momments I can think of off the top of my head playing last night against you where online timing just totally ruined it for me. Jumping in online against me is just way too good, as the delay kills any type of dp/flash kick/etc. reversal chance for me. Don't even get me started on wake up dp's... I don't think I'll ever adjust at this point to online, and honestly, it's probably better that I don't.

Usually if the connection is bad to where I can't reverse DP atleast seventy percent of the time then I just quit playing and hope for a better connection next time. These games don't mean anything so I try not to let them get the best of me when I am getting beat down...try not to let it get the best of you either man :karate:

It just gets way frustrating, like I'm sitting there struggling to relearn a game I've been playing for 15 years now, because things that come rather easily for me offline (such as dp'ing jump ins, wake up dp, etc.) just don't work for me at all online. The game looks the same on the surface, but break it down and it's not the same game at all and can't be played like it should for me. I could give a list a mile long of people who hand me my ass everytime I play them online, but play them in person and it's a completely different story, and a completely different game. I can also list a few people who can adjust their timing either way and are just as good offline as they are on, I just can't do it myself. That's where my frustration lies, and it really has just taken the fun out of playing this game online at all for me.

Pez, CigarBob speaks the truth. When I'm down big in a match is when I'm most dangerous. I get even more aggressive.

You clearly already have the skills, no need to learn anything new there. IMO, what you need is a change of attitude. I go into EVERY fight thinking I'm gonna win. Why? Cause I am confident in my ability to outwork my opponent. I get perfected or near perfected first rounds very often by the better players but round 2 is a different story. I buckle down and bring it.

Soooooooo..... what I'm trying to say is that you already have the tools that you need to kick some ass - you just need to act like you can kick some ass and soon after that you will. :tup:

Don't get me wrong, the guy can play but playing on speed select 3 is not the same as playing on regular speed 3. It's bad enough that there is a tad bit of lag and with that kinda speed it makes the game scrubtactular. I guess he just gets angry at the amount of damage fei long dishes out. Oh but its ok to land a 3 hit combo and get a dizzy on me right? :rolleyes:

It's all good tho. This isn't arcade, and even if it was I know I would own him for free.

Another thing I find amusing about Standaman and Rhythm and funk is how they play with two hit dizzy shotos, but complain through the mic when I dizzy them after two rush punches and a croutch uppercut, then nail them with the final punch.

Ah, kool...it's always nice to match a face with the name. Yea it's a shame we didn't get to play this year (our fault since we showed up late). As for the whole emu/kaillera thing, I just look at it as another option for the SF "fix." I mean, at times the connection on kaillera seems so much better than on Live and vice versa. I guess it just depends on the server and since you're on the east coast you should be fine. Coast to coast matches usually play much better on kaillera, and matches against UK competitors are much more enjoyable (east coast server). Then there's zbattle.... ;) I have to give you fear warning, if you start playing that too much you'll soon start saying "Man, why can't Live/kaillera play like this!???" Personally I wish anytime I ran into an east coast opponent and the match was trash on Live, we would just immediately jump on a kaillera server or Zbattle to resume.

I'm sure your pc could handle it...if my dated 2001 Dell WinMe can handle it, im sure you'll be fine :tup:

Shinju Mikami and ninjamalandro are two of the most ANNOYING turbo kens ever! Total scrub tactics. They're like mirror images of one another.
Tap throw, or dragon punch up close. Simple 50/50 mixup, but scrubby and annoying as fuck! I still beat their asses down though, and they drop, but I challenge, beat them, they drop. Repeat, repeat, repeat. I just love to piss them off.

sagats and ryu's are a common fight for my balrog and its a hard match for both imo. guile is just too hard for rog u gotta make it quick and don't let the guile player think

i picked up sim last week.. i know the basics from playing jason cole whos probably the best sim player.

Yeah it was wayyyy too laggy the first time we played but got a little better on your second challenge. Yeah ST Honda I would call my main but I would switch to Dee Jay at times. Like if I'm playing afrolegends. It all depends. And I picked Fei Long by mistake that one match, so I pretty much threw that match away. I was meaning to pick T. Hawk but that wasn't any better since I couldn't dive attack or 360 for shit. GG's though.

P.S.- Hey I don't mean to sound like an ass, but by reading most of your posts it sounds like you take XBL way too seriously. C'mon man. XBL is absolutley nothing compared to playing at a huge ST tournament like at MWC or Evolution. I'm so much more of an arcade-based player so luckily HSFII on XBL isn't too bad as far as delays go most of the time. I also play 3S but as far as that goes, I just refuse to play on XBL. The timing is so different. I've seen very good 3S players who have played on XBL for a decent amount of time and have learned to adapt to it, then they go to the arcade and lose because their timing got all fucked up. I know this doesn't happen to some people but hey, everyone's different. I just choose to be on the safe side and stick to arcade 3S. Besides, it is so much more invigorating when you are at a huge tournament with your opponent physically being there with a lot of spectators looking on. Don't get me wrong, XBL is fun, but it's the tournament on when you get serious about your game. Lighten up a bit. I'm sure the majority would agree here.
