Given equal playing skill, my bets always go to the vega player. Quick jump speed, good flip kick reversal, and throw range dominate the guile player.

CE vega sacrifices the flip kick for ridiculous throw damage and major priority, (making him one of the cheapest of the CE crew.)

I mean why argue? this thread is for ppl that cant behave, especially online. like ppl that always waits for the opponent to chose thier character then they will pick a counter cause they are a chicken shit, and after they pick thier counter they will lose anyway. also for ppl that disconnect in the middle of the game and then rejoin your game and keep doing that when you decline thier challenge and dont want to play them. f***ing learn, if someone declines your challenge more than 2 times, stop freakin joing them again.

anyway! this is a good thread to mention these lamers so ppl will know them. okay! today! we have SAVALAS! his Rog vs my Gief, in 2nd round I dont know what I did, maybe a 360 which is very "IMPOSSIBLE" to succeed with it seems, and he disconnected in the middle of the match. I dont know, maybe Im using a haxx gief? 1 button for 360.. mmh ye.. anyway, then I created a new game. he joined, I decline, he joined, I declined, he joined, I decline and so on, and so on and so on for about 5 minutes. its not first time SAVALAS drops in the middle of the game, he's done that about 3-4 times before and Ive only played him about 3-4 times asweel. defenietly #1 on my lamer list atm. thats all for today.

For the record, we still play turbo 2, unless no one is playing..which, I'm not sure why that matters to you, but I see that it does.. as for playing like a retard, that's pretty much true... ooooooook... I'm not sure what to say here. I didn't play your 'Rog with WW greif last night...it was ST. It was a pretty picky one match anyway..I think I got one SPD on you after a standing short..otherwise it was just pick pick with sweeps. I never rely on jabs to SPD's. Once again, I have never claimed to be good or anything, I just play for fun. I'm sure I can find the strength to go on living if O Don and you won't play us anymore...somehow... :sad:

Savalas, I think picking the exact same mode in some instances is definately a good idea.

It evens things out when it comes to power and speed. For example...

1. When me and KJ would play in Turbo mode, him using Sagat and me Blanka - I would win more consistantly.

2. When he switches to CE Sagat vs my HF Blanka - he wins more. AND I gotta work VERY hard just to eek a win.

3. When I switch to CE Blanka vs his CE Sagat - we get back to scenario #1. :bgrin: (I'm just busting on KJ. He owes me a beatdown. lol)

For the most part, I'll pick HF Blanka against any version of any character. EVEN CE Rog and CE BIson and any Honda. I do that just for kicks.

Oh yeah, if anyone that plays me sees me pick DJ you better watch out! Especially if he's wearing the Yellow pants! I call him Game of Death DJ. It's ova. Haha.

OK, here are the rules...

1. No Akuma

2. No WW characters.

3. CE Bison is allowed only once in the set.

4. You MUST use your primary character for at least 10 matches.

5. You MUST use more than 3 characters total. Any combination but see Rule #4 for primary character.

I can own you anyday. Like many people I've been playing this game for years and years. Since part I. And I can honestly say that without lag, I can give you a beatdown 3 out of 4 games.

And to you, Vintage, I dont know if youre talking about 3s, or Hyper, cause in Hyper, throws ARE cheap generally. There are obviously exceptions, but thats what they are. If someone is gonna kick throw you or jump kick throw you, then thats cheap. Thats been known since the 90s.

Otherwise, you wouldnt get the reaction out of people. If you do it to someone else, you can see its not respected, cause they'll do it right back to you and it just turns into a throw war, which is ridiculous in itself.

And when it comes to dropping, I dont drop. Only if the lag is ridiculous. And as an FYI, I ONLY play Hyper, I have no idea how to play 3s.

Listen there's no doubt that throws are ok in some parts of the game, and I acknowledge that. For gods sake I throw every once in a while as well.

But dont tell me you havent gotten into throw wars with other people that are 'cheap'. Similar to Bison cheapness. Ghetto-ass torpedo torpedo scissor kick is another one of those. Dont get me wrong, both cheese throwing and Bison can both be beat, but it takes more luck/chance than should be necessary.

I'll bet you that 80% of the people on here get pissed when they play mofos that play like that. Cause those are the very same bastards that drop when they lose a precious match.

And if you want to play a Ryu/Ken vs a Ryu/Ken I'll give you a run for your money anyday of the week. Guaranteed.

I'll give you that some characters, especially online, can be beyond godlike when played "correctly" online, such as CE Bison, CE Guile, Normal Guile, hell, pretty much anything below Super can be rediculous online due to input delay, and 2 hit dizzies, etc., but I'd be more likely to complain about the fact that it's that kinda crap you can get away with online because wake up reversals and stopping any sort of jump in (ie. deep dp's, deep flash kicks, etc.) can be nearly impossible most times online, while excecuted with ease offline (Especially against fast charge characters... Honda, Blanka, Vega). So if you're complaining about the fact that people can even get in on you to throw you where offline they can't, then sure, I can agree with that. But if you're complaining about throws in general being used on you at all because they're "cheap" and "require no skill", etc., then that argument is just stale. And sure, I'm down to play Ken/Ryu, as well as any other character I enjoy playing. Why limit it to just those two? And speaking of Ken/Ryu, I swear shoto is the most extremely effected, hindered, ruined type of character online, and I've pretty much given up on trying to adjust at this point. Too many eaten jump ins that would never work in person to bother even trying anymore.

When it comes to online timing, I have no problems with it. Is it off? Does it throw your game off? Does it make it so it doesnt really represent how you play? Yes x 3. But thats fine cause theoretically, both of you are having the same lag problems, so its an adjustment both of you have to make, so youre still on even ground on average.

I understand that a lot of char's are way too over powered. Deejay comes to mind, as does Guile. But shit, I'll happily play those guys day in day out without dropping. I'll even play the bastards that throw all day long (when i say cheap mofos i mean Non-Super characters).

to tell you the truth, I remember playing both you AND lethargy. And both of you guys play like I play. There's a certain style of play that I "personally" find to be the right way to play which IS how both of you guys play. There are people however, that play a certain style that I find to be cheese. For example RodChan. This mofo will only pull out these techniques when he's on the losing end of the stick. He'll go throw mania. And dont get me wrong, I CAN and DO reverse. But it basically reduces the game to the throw / fakeout throw.

You are not playing ST. You're playing AE. Sure, the old characters are more powerful than the ST characters overall but I believe comeback supers balance that out just fine. If he was biting you so much, how about trying not to get bitten? Whenever I play someone using say for instance... Turbo Ken, I try not to get DP'd. Simple eh?

Again, if you want to paraphrase what I said then at least stay in the ballpark. This game is AE, not ST, not HF, not CE, etc. Character imbalance? Definately. But you fail to see is that not all character matchups are in old characters favor. There are plenty of ST characters that own older characters for free. So, it goes both ways.

AND, I never said I can avoid all throws. I was digging at you cause you complained about how many times Maxstah's Blanka caught you with them. Will you throw me in a match? Probably. WIll you threw me as many times as Maxstah throw you? Probably not.

@ maxtah- i played him in the past and when the connection is good he stays online, if its not he drops but i can accept that...as for his blanka, it's really good but not too sure if he plays with anyone else. Does his blanka alone make him a great player? dunno but then again never seen him offline....

@ Louie- for what peeps say about him playing with a programmable stick and shit, i still havn't seen a better 'combo' player on live or for that shit EVER...no turtling etc, louie plays the game like it should be played...with a great deal of attacking flair and a touch of class. Maybe I havn't seen some of the better peeps stateside but for my money there's no better balrog and d-j than louie's. - Please avoid calling out Real Decoy. Unfortunately he got involved after the "Maxstah incident", but there is no need to get argumentative with Decoy. I understand Maxstah's behaviour. He disconnects when he loses. He has done that to me on many occassions. However, this usually happened in a mediocre connection, and to be completely fair to him, he has also disconnected sometimes after he had won a match, so I doubt his actions are envious in nature. A friendly game session between Decoy and yourself is of course fun, but let's just consider this as 'healthy competition' between yourselves.

- Savalas enjoys responding to posts in this forum. It gives him something to do with his time. Which is a good thing I suppose, because he could be dealing crack to schoolkids if it weren't for being here all the time. There are three situations in which Savalas will disconnect the match:

a) At the beginning before the match has started
b) After you defeat him using extremely cheap methods
c) After you defeat him skillfully in a good match

Finally, there is also a chance that he will not select the "rematch" option when he comes to the conclusion that you will defeat him consistently. There is no point arguing about it, unless you find it worthwhile to feed his craving for attention.
