So Warriors and Clips win tonight. My expectations are high for the Warriors, but I think the Clippers might be good enough for the playoffs this year. I'm predicting the Grizzlies and Sonics to fall off this season so there's good a chance.
LOL@ people who think the warriors will do good this year... remember the post I made about them in the other thread?
These motherfuckers alway just tease you... they always seem to play well at the end the season then everybody is like "Wow the warriors looked good finishing off the season, they gonna rock next year!" Get the fuck out...
Last year the same thing was said and they started the season like shit... and continued sucking some more..
This year it no different... its like a never ending cycle..
They beat ATL today but your local YMCA amputee team can blow out the hawks.

I dunno about the suns this year. Without amare, it's just not the same, especially with JJ and Q gone. Althought raja bell and kurt thomas are pretty damn good.
Me and my friends just aren't expecting this season to be that great. Unless amare can heal 100% first, but with a surgery like that, i'm sure they don't want that shit rushed during healing period. But if Suns can make the playoffs, with a decent seed, like at least 4th, then maybe they can still win.
I seriously doubt it with SA right now though, they're just too damn good now it seems.

GG between Denver and LA.
And let me call this right now. Smush Parker is gonna be a money player for LA.
In fact, here's my list...
Smush Parker
Qyntel Woods
Leonard Barbosa
Raja Bell
Matt Harpring
Keith Bogans
Gordon Giricek
Breakout year for all of them.

I'd love to see the Clippers end up with a better record than the Lakers hahahaha...
Baron Davis tweaked his hamstring... could've been worse. As long as the word "knee" or "ankle" isn't there, then it's not as bad, but hopefully this won't be too bad.

after the aftermath of the laker game, i thought the lakers played poorly despite all their heart into the game. so many mistakes and turnovers...unacceptable....i think i saw like 10 lobs today....anyway, there is always room for improvement!
Bucks should have a decent year. so far they are handling themselves quite nicely.
when i saw some highlights of rockets vs ???, they are such a monster balanced team. Mcgrady, Yao and Swift just totally blows me away in an instant

That tj ford is lookin pretty impressive
i like how Odom is playing point now. Just needs to improve a little more with his handles and he'd be perfect. I saw a couple of times where he fumbles the ball a little
I wanna see Kwame Brown be more of a presence also. But he jus't cant catch the ball. Dude has butterfingers, cuz he's always fumbling, dropping the ball.

Best guard in the league, quite possible - although you could make a very good argument for T-Mac, AI, or hell maybe even New Jersey Vince now.
But you can never be the best player in the league if any of those three big men are still playing.
Laker fans vs. rest of board GOGOGOGOGO!!!

It's because he has such tiny hands. He'll never have the softest hands.
If this isn't Kwame's year then it'll never be.
Goddamn Bogut is beasting. 17 rebounds! Playing Bogut as a power forward...hmm...GENIUS.

Kwame also needs to lose those ice skates he calls shoes. Did anyone see him slide around and lose the ball off of someone's (i forgot who) steal? That was a free power dunk for him and he's busy playing slip n slide. I'll give him some time though.
And Kobe for MVP if the Lakers can have a good season. I'd like to reiterate that today wasn't the first time he shot something in to the face of people from Colorado.
The Laker's search for a new point guard is also over. Smush will become an all star this year.
Odom doesn't look very comfortable with the triangle offense yet. He was tanking shots left and right. Like Kwame, I think he needs some more time.
I expect the lakers to get around the 5th seed this year under the Spurs, Rockets, Suns, and Mavericks in that order if they can stay solid.

AI is so damn overrated IMO. He's an undersized two that will never see a championship because he still hasn't learned to play with other people offense.
Edit: Odom is going to kill at pg. He has the court vision, handle and passing ability to do it. The guy is a monster, believe it.
Lakers got that NYC connect baby. Smoosh+Odom= lakers playoff bitches.
Edit2: The knicks will be in the playoffs. the knicks have a lot of depth and talent. Crawford will be an allstar this year. The knicks looked a a little lost last night. They had a shit load of TO, missed a shit load of ft's, and got outrebounded and still took Boston to overtime. Boston will have a mediocore season if they play the way they played last night.

Some of you guys need to calm down about the Lakers and especially Smush fucking Parker. LA looked really good opening night last year until Utah raped them and their season went downhill from there; wait until they play 10 games before saying shit like "Smush Parker is an all-star". I mean, seriously, Lamar Odom was bringing up the damn ball. Shows worlds of confidence in Smush's ability to play point, doesn't it?

Yet another silly response coming from me.
Everyone thinks because AI score big he is not being a team player and thats bull, he has risen in Assists every year, How can he NOT be a team player when he is and has always been the BEST DEFENDER the SIXERS have had since he joined the squad?
Next who has he had beside him that he made look worse or he didnt help get better?
Ahhh lets see....
Mutumbo:Ok this 7 foot foll was never a scorer hince ATL dropping him to get tons of YOUNG forwards and Centers, True he is a low post defender but philly always needed someone else to score and take pressure off of AI, ok whos next.
Keith Van Horn: The journey man slash great whit hope, hasnt been the same since his broken leg and he was give tne ball to much and couldnt hit the open jumper like Matt Harpring could thats why he was dropped.
Glenn Robinson: Showed how overrated he was and why he never utilized his size to the teams advantage, he was supposed to be mr low post fade way, or what ever, Hell Corliss Williamson played better at the small than BIG DOG.
Sooo since Iverson has been on this team who was the secondary option to release the pressure? I mean yes you work as a unit to help shorten the gaps you have but damn Iversons Team making the playoffs the past few years is hella solid because they dont have 2 dominant players like most playoff teams should or do, but lets see what happens this year with all the young talent like Igu, and Krover.
Oh please explain to me how he is so overrated when this young man dominates almost every defender who faces him? He is clutch, He plays D? I dont see it yo.
I like the Pacers new uniforms.

He only passes the ball when he can't get is own shot. If you have been watching philly play for the last year and a half you can see how bad they need a point. No one on the team seems to know what Iverson is going to do when he brings the ball down. They never look ready for his passes, never. Chris Webber isn't bitching for no reason and Larry Hughes didn't bitch for no reason either. AI is a ballhog, plain and simple. If Philly could trade AI they would.

Larry hughes bitched because he wanted to play the 2 himself. Webber bitches period with or with out a point, and we all know Iverson is the 2 so why you beasting on him not passing when you just admitted they dont have an actual or productive point to handle the rock outside AI who was a point, even when they had eric snow he was a point the style of point they needed and the same thing happened wtf.
Its not his fault the organization wont get a point its been guys out there they just dont get em, ATL put up stromile when the johnson shit was going on, did philly make an offer? when Tyronne lue was in limbo leaving wizard land did they offer?
HE does what he has to do to win you still havent answered my question on who's hands can they depend on in the clutch besides his? They havent had a legitament Number #2 in philly for a while, you asking this man to make average NBA players look like Micheal Redd and so forth.
But I forgot you stuck in the Jordan era like most others.
Jordan did the same thing Averaging nearly 30 a game for how long while Scottie put up 16 who else averaged 20 or more for the bulls then??? No one cared long as jordan posted up 30 or more and Paxson, or Kerr, Or KuKoc scored the last second shot to carry them over, thats a double standered and bull shit and you know it.
When Scottie average 20 or more there was friction but no one speaks on this shit, the year philly was trying to make Mutombo a scorer why was everyone upset with Iverson for dishing him the ball instead of driving to the basket? Thats all you heard them complain about when in the lakers series, the only way to beat em was Iversons penetration sadly the man played team ball and only won one game in that series:xeye:

Are you crazy. Don't ever compare AI to Jordan. MJ was a scorer who worked within the offense. Jordan was the ultimate teamplayer. Besides Jordan, Pippen, and Tony the bulls didn't have much talent. The team was made up of guys that were willing to play their roles. AI is a glorified gunner who needs 25 shots to score 20 points in a game and he doesn't play defense.
AI is a bitch. He got Craig Claxton traded because speedy would work him over in practice.

Now you speaking that nonsense no one in this thread will agree with you and say AI DOESNT PLAY DEFENSE when he has been on All Defensive teams lead the league in steals etc for years to date
Jordan didnt work within the system HE WAS THE SYSTEM fuck you speakin the triangle would have never worked if it wasnt for clutch shooters like the guys i named up above no matter how dominant you are one on one that doesnt always win games, I watched AI put up fifty for his team when no one esle could make a layup Speedy Claxton had speed true but is HIGH on turnovers and is also a journymen look at him where is he now? I thought he was forever gonna be the back up in san antonio BLAH
Pippen was a better defender than Jordan How could he not have had talent, Now Toni true was overrated and looked good because of the triangle but pippen was always a 20 or more player no lie.
Pippen was clutch back then also with out him Jordan doesnt see half those rings, Pippen was hella dependable while Jordan was on or off the bench.
But the point is this, you cant put a few pieces on a team because of there name and expect it to work at all times (LAKERS Malone Payton Shaq Kobe) The Bulls built a team around jordan no one ever out shined him it was always Jordan and the Jordan-airs, So why not do the same for AI knowing his will to win, his scoring ability, you saying he should not put up 20 shots HOPEING that someone else on the team will help keep the games close and within reach but over the years it has been proven that cant be done with out him putting up those shots.
I saw jordan post up 23 and more shots hella mount of time in his career so dont complain about shot selection.

Chris Mihm has been in the league for like 5-6 years I think. He was supposedly a great pick out of Texas. Being 7-1 and all. But he hasn't shown yet.
Now the real question is..... Chris Mihm or Desanga Diop. Who will show up first. In the preseason Diop logged a lot of minutes when Dampier was out. Supposedly a few flashes of greatness.

Well if tim Duncan was on your squad dont you think he would be a 2 Perosn trade almost no matter who they are?
Okur and Peja would be even, Pierce was a steal LoL the walker trade was even cause he is up and down, Pau has been with that eam for a while slumping on the average of 15 points a game, plus the man needed rebounding and thats what he got in this trade, since people are about the numbers alot when it comes to sports on SRK, He cleaned up but... then again it was even.

Damn no games on tonight. Need something to see after CFB.
Miami's 1-2 now. Even though there without Shaq, I think they'll be okay.
Like last wek I was gonna come on here and say they're gonna become the second team to a 70 win season ever and break the Bulls record by going 74-8. Crazy I know.
Night
11-05-2005, 10:15 PM
i would really like to go into detail if you request it. otherwise, i'm not gonna either touch the subject anymore...
CLIPPERS ARE GONNA BE FUCKING DOPE THIS YEAR! (JINX JINX!)
"Intentional jinxes" or "reverse jinxes" don't work. If it does happen that the Clippers end up doing bad, it won't be because of a jinx.
Jinxes ONLY work against you. In 2004, when Randy Johnson pitched the perfect game against Atlanta, there were probably Atlanta fans all over, and even the Atlanta announcers that said on the broadcast "15 up 15 down, Randy Johnson has been perfect..." but no matter how much an opposing person tries to jinx a guy, it won't work. Randy Johnson was able to complete the perfect game because Arizona fans all kept their traps shut. If he botched it up, it would've either been a bad pitch on his part, which wouldn't have been because of Atlanta fans, but if an Arizona fan made any mention of a no-hitter, THEN Randy Johnson would've gave up a hit or hit the batter maybe on the next pitch.
On that same very night when Randy Johnson pitched the perfect game, Jason Schmidt of the San Francisco Giants was pitching a no-hitter late in the game against the Cubs. It was a 2-strike count against catcher Michael Barrett, and on the local station in San Francisco, KNBR, Tom Tolbert was doing his radio talk show, watching the game and mentioned "Hey, Schmidt's got a no-hitter going..." then Schmidt threw Barrett a curve ball, the first curve ball he showed, and it hit the lower corner of the strike zone, and pretty much everyone knew it was a called strike three, but home plate umpire Tim McClelland didn't give him the call since it was just the first time he saw the pitch as Schmidt was mowing down the Cubs purely on fastballs and changeups. So after that, the next pitch Schmidt dealt was a dribbler that ended up being an infield-single. Schmidt did end up winning the game 1-0, on a one-hitter having thrown 144 pitches, but the mention of Tolbert and the no-hitter jinxed Schmidt. So he was like "Uh oh" and he tried to say "Hey, Randy Johnson's got a perfect game going!" but Johnson would not be jinxed, but he could've been if Tolbert was an Arizona Diamondbacks fan (although Tolbert did go to U of A, but isn't a fan of the D-backs).

He did get fouled.
He got hacked and hacked badly but, Refs usually refrain from calling a foul like that knowing the game is on the line less than Blah Blah seconds to go, Its so contrevertial they just say fuck it.
I hate sports sometimes because out of all the rules for and against players, REFS are the most protected, you get fined for sending Memos speaking on specific refs, you get fined for talking about the on or off air, You get fined if you touch in almost anyway, You get thrown out the game for to much talking, It like these fuckers have the shield Jordan had when he played ahhhh, this shit is freegin retarded.
Nuggets get no love from me for the rest of the season, Carmelo promises to be an all star this year, but his team gets spanked by the LAkers who have crap to compete with, Nuggets a playoff team Lakers not:confused:

Why bulid this squad just to get maybe one title, this team was more than ok with out Jason Williams, Antoine Walker, etc but its all good yo.
Pacers should sneek past Pistons and it would look ugly if they went up against The Heat one game away from the Finals.

Judging from normal Chinese facial hair growth rates...he's probably been growing that for like twenty years.
Remember when he said he wasn't going to shave if his Olympic team didn't get to the quarter finals? That was awesome.
Actually I see that T-Mac's got a beard thing going too. Is this some weird team morale thing, like when how the Red Sox were all growing beards for no reason during the season, or how some hockey teams start growing mullets during play-off runs? (Or are they always growing mullets regardless?)
Maybe JVG will do it too so that by the time the Heat play them again, he'll look like SVG.

I would've given Yao the ball everytime he got into position under the basket. He was owning Zo's soul. If Yao can play like that all the time, watch out.

Funny because he did when he was in Miami, Alston was a beast in Miami. To be honest to everyone that played for Toronto not named Bosh pretty much threw it in when they got there.
It was more of Derek Anderson to me, that guy was just throwing wild shit up, every time he touched it I wanted to scream dont shoot the ball. Alas he did though and usually missed.
In a weird way this is a good sign for Houston though if Yao can be consistent enough to do this on a nightly basis when T Mac gets back, there will be hell to pay. Zo isnt exactly a bitch either, he is still one of the better centers in the league.

How is the statement that "Detroit is getting lucky playing a lot of weak teams right now" not true?
Philly
Boston
Toronto
Sacramento
Phoenix
Portland
That's probably the easiest first six games anyone's had to play so far. Just one legitimate team - Phoenix - which is looking lost without Amare/JJ and with KT slumping.
Detroit's opponents are currently 12-22.
How's that versus...say Toronto's at 22-13?
So everyone that doesn't immediately acknowledge Detroit's amazing play against crappy teams means they're haters?
ALERT - FOR ALL THOSE IN THE SRK NBA THREAD - NO MENTION OF THE DETROIT PISTONS IS ALLOWED WITHOUT FIRST ACKNOWLEDGING HOW THIS IS THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME AND EVEN A TEAM OF TWELVE JORDANS COULDN'T BEAT THEM.

No, they're lucky. They're fortunate to being playing low tier teams. Its sort of like what NJ did when Byron Scott got fired and they went on a long winning streak with Frank.

They were playing soooo damn well. Kobe only taking 16 shots, and most everybody w/ the exception of Mihm took the same amount. Which means even, balanced scoring, which is what the Lakers needed.
But at the 4th quarter they stopped hustling on defense. They went from a 15 point lead to losing by 5 only by a few lucky last second shots which came too late.

Defense is probably the toughest task in a basketball game. it's hard to go to transition defense and boxing out defenders. yeah the lakers slacked off a bit. one play i saw someone stole the lakers ball and odom blocked it, but nobody was there to pick up the rebound...i only saw timberwolves. but i think the lakers are progressing okay....they still need a lot of work

Defense is probably the toughest task in a basketball game. it's hard to go to transition defense and boxing out defenders. yeah the lakers slacked off a bit. one play i saw someone stole the lakers ball and odom blocked it, but nobody was there to pick up the rebound...i only saw timberwolves. but i think the lakers are progressing okay....they still need a lot of work
hahaha next time dawg.
i also think its cause of their overtime game against utah the night before. they seemed just have lost energy in the 4th.
dont' forget about smush parker. that foo is good too. that steal from walton, then alley oop to bush...nice!
when you get back to San Diego lets see if we can plan a laker game or something.

As far as I know, write-in's are guys that aren't on the regular ballot (like Chris Paul). Some of my votes are somewhat fringe votes as well (but semi-reasonable ones...Arenas isn't really that far down from AI, plus his team is better; I also like the fact that he and Hamilton have had relative breakout seasons).
Which brings up an interesting topic that I don't really recall seeing brought up last year; player rankings (Imagine a scenario where the league had an "expansion draft" where all teams start from scratch, there are no salaries and only short-run potential is taken into consideration, ie. the next 2-3 years). I may as well get the ball rolling, and put myself on the spot right away; top 10 in and of itself is probably enough for now...
1) Tim Duncan
2) Kevin Garnett
3) Shaquille O'Neal
4) Lebron James
5) Allen Iverson
6) Dirk Nowitzki
7) Amare Stoudemire

I personally think the NBA needs to calm the fuck down with all the "retro" jerseys for three reasons; (1) half of them are ugly pieces of shit, (2) they seem to be pretty much making them up at this point, and (3) for some reason, Denver wears some retarded pieces of garbage instead of those cool 80's ones with the pixelated rainbow mountains, which were actually good.

Artest, who has missed the Pacers' last two games because of a wrist injury, told the Star that he doesn't like playing for coach Rick Carlisle and would prefer to be dealt to the New York Knicks.Artest to Pacers: Trade me (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2255420)

Either Ron Artest is clinically insane, or...I don't know. I mean, it's not like publicly approaching the media about a trade before talking to his GM is going to be a distraction for the team he apparently doesn't want to submarine.
Personally, if I were Joe Dumars, I'd give Donnie Walsh a call just to jokingly see whether Artest would like playing there if he wants a change of scenery. Other than that, I can't think of a trade that makes basketball sense for Artest; the Pacer's don't really have a hole to fill other than the hypothetical void at the 3 spot that Artest creates if he's traded or maybe a better PG. Since Walsh seems to have a pretty good idea of what he's doing, he probably wants no part of that Knicks team, and although Portland would be a match made in heaven for Artest, nobody wants any part of their nonsense. I don't think any teams that are good already really want to roll the dice on Artest either, so guys like Maggette/Marion/Anthony/Miller+Battier are probably out too.
All I can really see making sense is if Boston or LA decides to have a fire sale on Pierce or Kobe, and Indy throws in some of their depth and takes on a bad contract. Peja makes no real sense unless they're just trying to cut their losses with Artest; he doesn't play good defense and his offense is always suspect come playoff time.

Artest is probably a little mentally ill. This guy is crazy in probably every aspect. He's hurting the team in the past and present. He's not going to give his full effort so I'm guessing he's probably going to half ass the entire season. He's just like Terrell Owens, but not as bad. He can play well, but it's inconsistent. That's about all I see from Artest.
I think the trade with LA is possible, but not for Kobe or Odom (top 2 stars on the team). The lakers won't have anybody else, and Kobe's contract is monstrous (7 years $130 million??). From what i'm reading from the papers, Kobe and Odom are the duels for LA and i don't think the front office will move those 2.
Although i think a trade with Boston is possible. Pierce is a good trading stock, but then again, if Boston isn't THAT stupid, they'll keep Pierce. He's done so much for the team...why give him away for a player who is possible to half ass his games and be unhappy in less than 1 year.
just my 0.02 cents

We have two picks this year. Ours and Denver's.
We can't trade our pick, because we still owe one to the Bobcats from that retarded Lamond Murray trade a few years back. (We traded with the Cavs but the Cavs gave our pick to Charlotte.)
So Babcock's saying that if the right deal comes along, then it's possible we could trade the Denver pick. I don't mind that much if we trade it. Denver's kinda meh right now, but a lot of people are predicting that they could finish like top five in the West, so the pick's not going to be that high (...low?) anyway.
And considering we already have J'onn J'onzz, Hulk, the Conquistador, Pape, Ukic, Slovar, and this year's draft pick in one or two years, that's a lot of youth already. So it's not a crazy idea to trade away a pick if we get an established player back.
We SHOULD trade it if the right deal comes along.
The only problem is what Babcock's definition of the right deal is.
But you know, for all the hate he gets, you have to look at his moves this year.
J'onn J'onzz - Fuck you, Stephen A Smith. This hairless freak is a BALLAH.
The Conquistador (or JOOOSEEE JOSEJOSEJOSE) - Excellent signing. He's putting up better rookie numbers than pretty much all of the other international points in the league did as rookies. He's averaging 6.2 assists!
Joey Graham - Solid pick. Still nothing to show that Granger or Green would have been a better pick.
Mike James for Rafer Alston - He FLEECED the Rockets on that one.
Babcock's had some excellent moves this year.

Rose, Eric Williams, and a pick for Yao is just as crazy as the Pacers trading Artest for Kwame and the rest of the Laker's garbage.
That Thorton trade was loopsided anyway.
In any trade, Rose is a negative. You would need to add incentive for teams to trade for Rose. He's getting paid like $16 NEXT SEASON. No one wants that contract.
And the Lakers couldn't possibly trade for Artest without losing either Kobe or Odom. Yeah, like Indiana would want the garbage you're trying to dump on other teams.
The best Artest possibility I see is to Phoenix. Artest + like Croshere or some salary filler for Marion. Talent level is as equal as you're going to get, Phoenix is looking to save money, they get some defense, and Indiana actually gets better - more scoring and Marion makes up the lack of rebounding they have from their centers.
Of course, I can't see this helping Phoenix until Amare comes back. They need Marion too much right now.
I honestly can't see any other scenario in which trading Artest wouldn't be a stupid move.

yeah i don't really see the lakers getting Artest in the first place. The Lakers have no one to give away other than Kobe or Odom... and Phil/the organization isn't going to break a team apart midseason because the chemistry is good right now. i don't recall the lakers ever adding big name stars to their roster during midseason in the Phil Jackson era. I guess it's the right thing because right now, if the team ain't broke, don't fix it. At least not yet
and if artest wants to ball more often than usual, then i guess it's a no go to LA. Kobe is gonna get his shots and Phil isn't going to like him shoot a large percentage of the team's shooting. although we just need his defensive presence and toughness.

NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2005 – The Los Angeles Lakers have been fined $25,000 for public comments made by head coach Phil Jackson on December 8, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations.
Jackson publicly expressed the Lakers’ interest in Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh, in violation of the NBA’s anti-tampering rule.

I hope they don't trade Bynum. I like that guy, I think he can grow with the organization.

Lakers would have won that game if Kobe didn't go ice cold in the fourth. After further review, Miami will not be going to the finals this year.
Detroit is too good and Miami is too soft.

That and the lakers didn't really have bench support. Kwame did an impressive job in somewhat trying to contain shaq and devan hit a couple of late 3's - but that's about it really for the bench in today's game for the lakers. How about Cook though? He had an outstanding game for the most part and you can't leave that guy open anymore...

the lakers actually had a chance to win. big time. i saw too many easy layups for the heat in the first half that should've at least be contested, but didn't. i give credit to the heat and also the Lakers. i thought they both played hard and the heat came out on top this time. next game: BACK IN LA!

Too many people are on Kobe's nuts. Its like they don't remember McGrady dropping 62 early last year. Hell, he had assists too. But because Bryant does it, its more spectacular?
Anyway... yeah... LA deserved to win that game. Payton was on some other shit. I want to see LO knock his teeth out when they meet in LA.

Chauncey says Iverson is the hardest person to guard.
Iverson says Chauncey is the best point guard in the NBA.

Nah, I don't think everybody's acknowledging it like that. The thing is that kobe could of gotten at least 80 in that game but chose to sit out the fourth quarter against the mavs.
^All I know is that billups is shooting the lights out - He's very difficult to contain as of late....

I agree with Iverson and Billups. Those guys are probably the best point guards in the NBA at this moment. Billups has a ring, can shoot, and pass. Iverson specializes in almost every category except turnovers.

If that was directed to me than your mistaken big time. I'm just calling it like I see it, I could care less about kobe scoring anyway. I'm all about the little things like odom taking the rebound or cook hitting the outside jumper.

Looking back at stats, McGrady had 10 boards and 5 assists to go along with 62. God, he's so grossly underrated compared to Kobe when he does some shit a LOT better.
LoL... the knicks got raped again... RJ & VC dunks all day!

SO where do you guys think Ron Artest will go?
I have no basis for this, but I think he will end up in LA. I'd like to see him end up with the Golden State Wariers. They could trade Mike Dunleavy (I think he can shine in Indiana) and somebody like Adonal Foyle for him. I just want to see Adonal get out of there so they can let Biedrins and Diogu develop more. Not only that, but I'd like to see them play Troy Murphy at center with Ike Digou at PF. The Wariers are stuggling right now, and I really want them to get Artest and guarantee themselves a playoff spot.

Yeah it sounds like Larry Bird really wants to get rid of Artest. He also mentioned that he's sending it to the Western Conference which means LA is a possible candidate team, but I don't see anyone leaving LA except Kwame Brown. The Warriors is a good choice and so is Portland, and maybe Utah

Well I once was a non-KOBE fan... Matter of fact I still am.
But Im starting to see where he is coming from, his help is limited, slim to none in fact. Lamar is a 16 - 10 - 4 guy. Why he isnt doing this is very mind boggling to me.
Kwame seems to be stepping up his level of play, a bit more intense these days.
Chris Mihm a monster in the first 6 to10 games has went down on the totem poll latelly, George did step up for big shots in the Miami game but is still a bit distant is it his injuries he is still recovering from or am I missing something??
Parker seems to be getting nice hype but I didnt see anything that would excite me in the Heat game.
At first Glance when you look at highlights etc, Kobe Seems to be a ball hog, but taking more carefull looks at the game play, movement on the court etc, his teammates just stand around and watch, Lamar to me still seems UN-Happy, The Whole Heat game he had this smirk on his face everytime Kobe shot a good fade away or took it to the rack as if to say " Shiittt Buck dat fool I can do that, But I dont feel Like it, Man why wont they trade me?"
Allen Iverson and Billups are right about each other, Both of these players are great, they can turn it on and off like a light switch at times.
Did anyone pay attention to the JV game, Spurs vs Pistons?
Billups was just deadly beyond the arc, and his post up ability just makes me question why they lost in the series in the first place???
The Answer also showed me alot in a losing effort though, I was at the Atlanta vs Sixers game a few days ago and it pissed me off. AI was stuck with Mr. 20 and 10 (Webber) who missed like 10 shots in the entire second half, Iverson might I add was a 53 point bread winner in this game and could have won it himself in my book, the other AI on the team stepped up big late but J.Smith (ATL) was shutting it down defensive-lly.
For some weird reason Webber was given the ball with more than 9 seconds left on the clock if I remember correctly. He stubbled and bumbled his way into a 1 to 3 foot shot that hit the front iron when he was being D-ed up by a 6'7" player???

You really can't tell a whole lot from the Spurs-Pistons game that was just played.
Let's break it down:
D-troit (Best starting 5 in the league, second best bench)
vs
Spurs (second best starting 5 in the league, best bench in the league)
HOWEVER, it was Detroit with 100% health vs a Spurs team with no Manu (who did a LOT against D-troit in the Finals) and a Tim Duncan with foot problems.
If we watch them both at full health, the game would have been much closer.
However much props to Detroit, they are tearing shit up right now, and they don't look like they're slowing down at all. Flip just picked up the ball and ran with that shit.
Spurs look good too, winning games even without one of their best players (Manu) and Tony Parker is just beasting as of late. His game has gone to an entirely new level, just blowing by EVERYBODY, including THE best defensive point guard in the game, Billups.
Spurs vs Pistons Finals again? And again? And again? Is this a rivalry of historic proportions in the making? I can see both these teams keeping this level of greatness for the next COUPLE of years.
and BTW, Kobe is eh. I'd rather have Lebron. And I'm not even one of those crazies on ESPN who overrate Lebron like crazy ("I'd rather have Lebron than Michael Jordan?" Are you fucking CRAZY?!?) Kobe is good, Lebron is good and makes everyone around him good. Kobe makes everyone around him WORSE. Lamar Odom is a MUCH better player than you're seeing right now. Yeah Kobe has (Shaq's) rings, but at the end of this season, let's see which team has the better record, Kobe's or Lebron's. because they are BOTH on nearly identical teams. They are the superstar with another good player backing them up (Ilgauskus, Odom) and some good perimeter shooters. (smush, hughes)
At the end of the season, let's see who REALLY makes their teams better.
BTW: I just came back from the Nets/Cleveland game, I got to see Lebron play in real life. It was a fun game.
And oh yeah, break out the fucking Nets.

Hell no they are not the same. I dont even like the lakers and I have to defend them on this one. Larry hughes is Established, Smush is not. Hughes is considered a proven defender and threat when it comes to scoring who else besides Kobe is as well???
Like I Posted up above Lamar is a 16-10-4 guy but he chooses NOT to do so, I have watched the last ten games played by the lakers whether via internet ot television and Lamar who came from a worse team (Clippers) years ago, and a mediocre team in Miami plagued by injuries, should know when to get off, and how to, when has his defense been great this year?? When has Odom checked the best or second best scorer on the opponents tema and was succesful???
I dont see him doing anything but standing around and its pissing me off and im not Kobe.
True you think Lebron is making those around him better but in my mind these guys were average before he was even born, they are now placed around a great player which makes them seem larger than life when they have a 30 plus night or what not, Hughes has always played second fidle to an even better scorer than himself, his defense is over rated in my eyes,Toni KuKoc was never the bomb but he was mister 16-6-3 and clutch 3 point shot when needed due to Jordan's skill and sometimes Pippen.
Lamar has that same Potential but he jacks up crap like Antoine Walker so why should Kobe trust him with the rock in a heated part of the game?
Lakers DO NOT have a true big man, Clevelands big man has experience and his 10 a night are useful, no comparison there playa, Donyell doesnt play defense either but he does shot rather well so compare him to George I guess, Damon Jones, Drew Gooden by name alone out do anyone else named from the lakers.
People must face it Kobe will be carrying this team and if they make the playoffs its due to lake luster play from opponents and 35 plus nights by Kobe Bryant
