Anyone else having trouble pulling moves off online with 2002? I don't have any problems offline, and no problems with 2k3, maybe it was just my connection.

What the heck is up with my KOF cd? It keeps freezing up online and sends me to a screen that saids the cd is damaged and yet it looks completely fine when I check it. Is this happening to anyone else.
It happens to me as well,but I'm certain it's my Xbox.It has a Thompson drive in it,and as many know it's one of the worst drives to have.What kind of disc drive do you have? Maybe it's your Xbox.

If you have a high win ratio (70%+), he won't play you.

He played me when I first bought the game, I beat him twice in a row, and he has been declining me since.

That happened to me yesterday when we were playing 2003. He beat me twice, then I figured him out and beat him once. He immediately left the match.

Is winning so important to people?

ok, so I finally have this game.

Great game, of course... too bad it runs very slowly, the SVC port was faster, but i think i can adapt to it ^

anyway, just wanted to say GGs to milleniumman, looks like throws are kinda useless against you, hu? ^^

btw, if i happen to meet any of you SRKers, don't worry if it disconnects sometimes, it's my xbox's fault, my connection is fine :D

Yup, good games to all the dudes I'd played in the lobby. I was amazed to see that many people on KOF! Lucky me as well, s'like my second day playing it on live. Quite a fun game :)

Yeah I am now totally psyched about playing 2k2 again. Its about freakin time people started playing. Maybe we can start having a a little group to play against each other since its rather hard to find people to play on there.

GGs everyone I played today and there was quite alot of people and to my new sparring pal Counting Gardens. I think we started something today that helped 2k2 become a better place haha.

Hes in the UK somewhere, and it was pretty laggy, and when one of us would do a super move, it'd disconnect us often (giving us both a win o_O).

But all the matches were damn close and exciting, nonetheless.

Its good to be playing 2k2 again :lovin:

Sorry I left only after a few games. This game is so frustrating to me cause if you have no lag it's one of my favs, but any lag and for some reason I cannot pull off QCF on the left side. It really limits me to simplier characters like K9999 and Mai which gets frustrating since I feel like a super scrub for having to use simplistic tactics. GG's though.

This game is so frustrating to me cause if you have no lag it's one of my favs, but any lag and for some reason I cannot pull off QCF on the left side.

The lag in 2k2 is a bit odd at first, but you can work around it with practice.

If the left side is the weaker of you two sides (offline or on), you should just keep repeating the motion in practice mode after you land a jump. I noticed online you missed QCF motions the most right after landing a jump, doing it too early w/ the lag.

But you'll always mess up sometime with online play, I know I miss easy moves all the time (when Vice's QCF followup airgrab to two of her moves doesnt come out or misses I want to throw my controller at the TV). Its just a matter of messing up less :wonder:

Actually practice mode does not work cause I need lag to practice. I am pretty good offline. The other thing that made no sense is Dragon Punch motions were not effected. Just QCF from left side. I tried slowing the motion during the match, but it didn't work. Charge motions need to be slower, but not terribly difficult. You would have to play from my side to understand. It's just plain weird.

Its a known fact that 2k2 tends to disconnect people from time to time. That was one of those times. It doesnt happen often, but it irritates me big time when it does though cause screws up the flow of the game.

Good games to TaygetaVendetta too. Though I'm beginning to hate that lag time on Whip's flying through the stage special.. It's even on offline too. Which, kinda annoys me. But that doesn't take away from the fact you have a great Whip. Nice games, even though I lost 99.9 percent of em ;)

Thanks, GGs to you, too. I have trouble against Billy with any of the characters i'm familiar with except Whip, so I had to keep picking her :rofl:

GGs to Koll too, but would you mind stop picking Athena? I don't mind the console-only King, but Athena is damn near broken in 2k2 and it kinda zaps the fun out of the game playing against her all the time. But GGs otherwise :wgrin:

Eh, Phoenix Arrow is punishable, unless you use the B version. She is broken due to the lack of recovery on her fireballs (giving her huge traps, and she can recover in time to anti-air you if you jump them). Among other things. However, Whip is more broken in lag than Athena is, due to her jumpin crossups. Jumping is lag abuse.
