I second that. I'm a huge scrub at 3S, I mainly play #Reload. So I use Ken just because I can at least land a few SA3s with him.

Ryu - same reason as Nastradamus. Plus he's got that 'solid as a rock' thing going for him in 3S, notice how people mostly compliment a players Ryu as 'solid'.

Yun/Yang - cool designs and minor similarities to me (I like extreme sports and my parents are from HK). Their quickness makes the pace of the match much faster = more intensity!

Remy - charge partitioning/buffering. Opened up a whole new world for me.

i think they nabbed that design from that because there are these fat glasses wearing villains on there that hav a slight cody resembalance, plus the games system has throwing as the main system, showing that seans main/best fighting system is throw set ups.

i use dudley too because he has a very wide horizon full of moves, i bet i come back on live soon and people still dont use some of the moves i use with him, theres just so much to him and he's strong, fast and fun to play with.

i like ken and akuma too because once u learn the moves its hard to lose LOL

Remy and Ryu

Remy comes down to sheer fun. He doesnt have any real uber-combos to master, but it gets right down to pressure, zoning, and guessing games, which really emphasize the basics of SF in general. I am having no better time than when I can start locking a person in a corner with several c.mp, LoV, CbK,UO, not giving them any time to jump out.

Ryu is just a staple character from all the SF and Vs. titles, which means knowing him will alow you to pretty much pick-up and play. Focusing on knock-downs and wake-up punishment, he's just too much fun to play, even if he is Boring Ryu.

Not when some super-mulleted monk uses your own sphere to kill you. He shoulda stuck with ice projectiles, it got him a flawless before the tourny even started!! That shit was just plain broken.

From another angle, Scorp was portrayed by a martial artist(albeit only an American Ninja tier martial artist, but still) who was on WMAC Masters, while SZ's padded shoes were filled by a French acrobat.

Shoryureppa is garbage. Jinrai is so easy to cancel into and gives so many options , I don't know why people even consider using SAI or SAII.

Ken's SA1 is his weakest. It doesn't pack monster damage like SA2 or add new angles to his game like SA3, but it's in there when you tire of the others and it's capable. It wouldn't be my first choice if I ever made it to EVO, but while I'm playing for fun, I'll use it now and again :)

It keeps the game varied and interesting. Now, if we could just convince the Yun and Chun Li players... :)

It's big damage and easy to execute. It's also easy to escape unless someone is just mindlessly poking, and even then the top tier usually shuts the HB down. Startup flare for supers destroyed grapple SAs long before SF3, but Alex in particular suffers from this more than most.

the super flash doesn't affect gigas breaker much. to jump out of gigas you have to commit to the jump before your opponent actually inputs the super. with alex that's not the case, unless you stuck a limb out for him to grab you can just hold up and jump right out of his hyperbomb and combo his ass on the way down.

i think HB is his worst super, stungun is equally scrubby and unreliable but at least you'll always have meter for it and can bust out 2 or 3 a round if you like.

Hyperbomb may be scrubby but I am a scrub. Many of my opponents don't jump out of it and the big damage has won me many games I was behind in.

I have been trying to switch to boomerang but I always screw up.

Yeah one of my bad habits is that I feel like I have to go for the big damage super. I've been trying to stop worrying about hitting boomerang and just go with EX elbows.
