Anyone here have any experience with X-Arcade Stick when playing on XBL?

1. I hear there's lag when using the x-arcade with xbox adaptor.

2. Does anyone know if there's a slot for the xbox headset on the adaptor?

Thanks for the heads up.

yes, there is a slot on the x arcade for the headset, but don't waste your money on an x-arcade...I have one and I never use it....it's a waste of money...get a MAS or a custom.

Is there any lag when using it on xbox?

I hear the x-arcade is a decent stick other than possible lag. Its good for upgrading as well.

A MAS or a custom will end up costing me too much to have sent to Vancouver Canada.

People say there is lag, but I use mine and I do alright. Then again I have nothing to really compare it too. Others swear by other joysticks though. I personally like my X-Arcade.

I hear so much contradictory stuff on sticks it's not even funny.

Someone needs to help me out. Whats good? Sanwa, Hori, MAS, HAPP...it's all so confusing.

Sanwa > Hori

Never tried MAS or HAPP but it seems to be a preference thing.

Many people seem to like the seimitsu sticks over Sanwa but
I can't imagine it being much better if better at all.

Personally I really like my sanwa. It simply plays wonderfull.

Yeah, X-Arcade lags due to the converter. It's a waste of time and money. Best stick I've found for online is the SF Anniversary Stick by Nuby. I believe it's the only stick out there that doesn't use a converter before going into the Xbox, besides the Pelican Real Arcade stick. SF Anniversary stick is better out of the box though compared to Pelican, but both could stand to be modded once you get them with better controls and buttons. If you're not too good at that sort of thing, the Pelican is way easier to mod than the SF stick with standard Happ controls, as it uses standard size connecters instead of these really small ones in the SF stick. If you want Sanwa or the like, well that's a different story...

Shit...I guess I could order a SFAC from somewhere. They dont carry them at EB's in Vancouver. I wonder if I could get them to order one in for me.

Is there any site to get a MAS stick without having to go through a lot of trouble? Something as simple as "here's this stick, this is the price, buy?". So many other sites provide hassles up the ass.

X-Arcade reaches a new level of garbage. Mine made a good paperweight, though.

I bought an X-Arcade a long time ago, and it was garbage. I used on XBL - no lag for me but I didn't feel like a MAS. www.massystems.com

So this 'super pro stick' is the one I'd want for the xbox? How much did yours set you back?

I'd think I'd want the "super nova" style since I don't know many fighters that need more than 6 face buttons.

EDIT - ick their order form sucks

it set me back $270, $30 for shipping, perfect 360 2k5 model, convex buttons, 10 button version, saturn, dreamcast, xbox, ps1, ps2 wires - i hade it on a black and white scheme.

if you only want ps2 and xbox that would be 150 after shipping.

Ok listen to this, I have had the most trouble EVER with Sticks. Ok first off, I got into 3s and didn't like feeling gay playing with a pad, SO I bought the X arcade cause I heard good reviews of it on some sites. Got the X arcade in and was SO happy, UNTIL I PLAYED IT. It just sucks, I couldn't do anything on it!!!!! Oh and I bought the dual stick so I think that was about $200 WASTED, So I try to make it better by opening it up and messing around with the stick. So i do various things with the stick but after about 5 hours of work, nothing good comes out of it, so I put the shitty stick in my closet and haven't seen it since. So me and my brother are thinkin, WE'LL GET JAP STICKS, THEY"VE GOTTA BE GOOD!!!!. So we buy a hori ex fighting stick and some other random jap stick. The hori Ex is OKAY and the other stick is just way too tight on the stick and its really hard to do 360 motion on it. So now after spending about 300 bucks, we have 1 OKAY stick. So me and my bro go to EVO2k5 and notice everyone's got the Hori Real Arcade Pro or the MAS sticks. So we decide we need to get one of those 2 but the place that was selling sticks only was selling a Gamecube stick for 30 bucks, so we're like Okay, we'll buy this stick and then get a converter for Gamecube to Xbox. So we get home and check on the internet for some converters and there are NONE. Then we realize that it makes sense because WHO THE HELL WOULD WANT TO PLAY XBOX GAMES WITH A GAMECUBE CONTROLLER? So, desperate we order a Gamecube to USB converter and a USB to Xbox converter hoping it works, and it doesn't. So there's another 30 bucks wasted on the stick and 20 bucks wasted on the converters. So now we think okay, WE HAVE TO GET A Hori Real arcade PRO or a MAS. So we find 2 Hori Real Arcade Pros on some site and order them. Then about 3 days later EVO says they have Hori Real Arcade Pros for sale. So we are like, oh well, we allready ordered from this other site so we'll get ours anyways. We wait for about 1 and a half months and it still hasn't shipped so we call them and they say they don't have em im stock. If they didn't have em in stock , why didn't they tell us that in the first place. So we cancel our order and check The Evo Site to buy the HRAP and guess what. OUT OF STOCK!!! So after we look everywhere we can't find those damn HRAP's so we decide to get some MAS sticks. We wanted perfect 360's so that was another 60 bucks making it around 150 or somthing for 1 stick. Then we get a call that says our billing address is wrong or somthing. So we try to fix it and the guy hang up on us and we can't get in contact with them for a few days. Then finally we get a hold of the MAS SYSTEM'S people and fix our shit and now I am currently waiting for our MAS stick. Its supposed to be here within a few days. God I hope this doesn't get fucked up either!

Total Money Paid: About 370 ish
Number of "OKAY" Sticks: just 1 right now (waiting for that MAS stick)
Moral of the story: MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BEST STICK FIRST NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! Just Do whatever you can to get a MAS stick with Perfect 360 or a HRAP

Here is the best piece of advice I can give. Step 1. Get any stick you want that looks good. Step 2. Tear the insides of the stick out completely including buttons joystick wires PCBS etc.. Step 3. Take a 100%Authentic Xbox controller pcb out a working xbox controller.. Step 4. wire the xbox pcb up to Sanwa joystick and buttons. Requires a little soldering and know how but pretty straight forward. This may require a tad bit of modification to the joytsick box as Sanwa parts fit slightly different. I did this with "Offical SF anniversary stick" with the udon graphics. You can even wire up the Headset port on the box to the real xbox pcb. This stick results in ZERO LAG due to joystick being fitted to the real xbox pcb.. Couldn't be happier with the setup.. its worth the time.

Good luck,
Tren

The site is weird though. You can select "primary" system to play it and secondary ones. But it says in the primary section that PS2 won't cost you, but Xbox will cost $24.95. If you want Xbox, you might as well get it compatible for PS2 since it SEEMS it won't cost anything.

And convex buttons? Are they raised at all, cause I really hated the convex buttons on the SF:AC stick.

The site isn't weird, its just better to call up and ask questions based on the site. The convex buttons aren't raised too high like the SF: AC stick, its the exact same height as the tournament standard which mean - low.

For Xbox they only have an adapter. So you have to get it with the PS2 initially - that's why the price is all weird.

I totally agree. Everyone doesn't understand this however. Too many dudes get that crappy SF:AC stick thinking it will do - but it doesn't.

Thanks for your help man, a lot. You really went above and beyond for me, so thank you a lot.

Final final question, but is the P360 really worth it? Keep in mind I'm not tournament level. Aside from the P360, are the other ones pretty decent? There's a bad review of the Happs Ultimate Hard Spring online so I'm thinking Competition Medium Spring?

Anytime.

Soft Spring is always better whether it may be competition, ultimate, or p360 - cause it takes less effort, with hard spring you have to muscle that stick to move- IMO. I recommend p360 and yes it is worth it, if not competition. I had an ultimate - white mas and it wasn't bad at all either.

You can ask MAS to put either a hard/soft/medium spring on the stick - cause they're both seperate parts. Peace.
