Server: Godweapon Server #2, Godweapon Best Of Best

All brackets will be co-ordinated through an IRC channel of my choosing on the day of the tournament and will be posted in here.

NOTES

- Manidotry IRC rule is still in effect. If you have come across players on Kaillera that play this game please send them a link to this thread and tell them to get IRC. I will not co-ordinate matches between IRC and Kaillera because people don't want to take 30 seconds for a couple meg download.

- Random seeds as this is the first tournament.

- Please make sure you have the updated MAME that accounts for ROTD along with games like SSV and SvC.

I can't make this a team event on the first go around. We're supposed to have at least eight players and if we make it team tourney that would mean 16 players. Realistically that won't happen the first go around.

ok I have a question, I see the irc channel displayed but whats the server? once I find that out, you, or I if needed, can make a webrowser link on the forum that will take you straight to the irc server and channel by the click of the link.

Works for users with mirc clients installed and uses Internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox browsers.

Just posting this if u guys didnt know how. That would make connecting to the server and channel much easier to irc n00bs.

to those who dont have a basic mirc script, go here to download one. (www.mirc.com)

to get there in one step either click, type, or copy and paste this link to your browser, (IE and Mozilla Firefox users with mirc installed on their pcs.) Here it is, irc://irc.efnet.net/rotdtournament <-- the web link. or
irc://irc.prison.net/rotdtournament <---another web link to the efnet server. that one is more stale.

If the link dont work for you, just copy and paste this command hen you start mirc.
/server -m irc.efnet.net -j #rotdtournament
or
/server -m irc.prison.net -j #rotdtournament

once thats in, the mirc app will automatically connect to the correct server and channel when started.

either way it should be easy for new irc users.

Btw Magneto, aim is gay! :P Irc is much more advance, learn how to use it. you will thank me later! :P
