Is there still a great number of people who play this? I don't want to spend money on another game just so it can got the way of Capcom Fighting Evolution.

Yes. But the game hasn't been out that long, its too early to tell if its going to hold up. Hell, CFE had an alright auidence for the first month or so.

But you're getting 2 great games for only 40 bucks, even if the population that plays these games really drops off over the next few months, you're still getting a helluva deal for the time being.

I think it will hold up. This game is actually fun unlike CFE. Also Chang feels weird without choi

yes lots of people play
and people will continue to play
there was a big fanbase before the game came to the xbox so there's no reason it shouldn't grow

This is what makes me confident about the KoF games in a way that I wasn't about, for example, #R (which is, I'll be the first to say, an excellent game). The KoF series is well-known in fighting games circles and has had a substantial following on Kaillera, Kawaks, etc. for some time. XBL is letting people do what's already been done--just better. Thus, there's every reason to think it will continue to have a devoted core following for the foreseeable future.

There's a fair number of players, definitely. Not as big as SF3 online, but decent. I have fun with it, aside from the general lack of variety in opponents. This isn't due to their quantity, but rather their character choices; expect to see tons of Ash, K', and Iori.

That, and aside from a wonky wakeup/super interaction, KoF 2003 is a lot of fun. Definitely pick it up.
