3s Dolby Digital

Hey guys not to sure this is the exactly the right place to post this... I would like to know if any1 plays 3s with HDTV and Dolby digital? I have digital audio output for the ps2 and then i ordered the optical output monster cables for the xbox that connects with the monster component cables and i was wondering if 3s really does support true dolby digital. Does any1 have any experience with this? Or any1 with a badass Home Theater setup? I hope it is true dolby digital becuase that would make 3s prolly sound extremely good. I would be able to hear every sound , hit, parry with crisp digital audio >_< ( sorry audio and video whore here forgive me)

Just started that a while ago. sounds nice costs alot of money tho... Love to hear it when ken gets murdered by chun getting hit with a c mk sa2 or when makoto owns the shit out of akuma... good shit.

You're not going to get a true Dolby Digital experience by playing 3S. 3S only has compatibility for stereo sound. It'll sound good but not like Halo good or nothing.

i have the boooooomin sound system in my house and i play 3s on my high def 36 inch flat screen. i hooked the tv up to these 4 big ass speakers that they use for the reggae concerts in my neighborhood. i adjust the bass and treble on the receiver's equalizer and the shit sounds beautiful. a far cry from my days as a 14 year old budget gamer. lol

ryu's stage and dudleys stage is just fire on that shit!!!

THanks for the responses people lol yea i have a 27 inch HDTV with a 600 watt Onkyo HT systems and dudley and ryus shit is BANGIN LOL. :) but i cant wait till its digital TO HELL WITH ANALOG! I get a lil thrill when 'Dolby D' pops up on my reciever it makes me want to scream as my ears bleed from the crisp sound. Nothing less than 65 volume when time for gamage


My ps2 has been on fiber optic audio for a long time and fuck all my animes including Samurai Shamploo DVD Set sounds too good, but i want to watch my movies on Xbox damnit! only 2 more days -_-

really? I coulda swore There was a Dolby D logo on the back of the xbox version of SFAC game, but i can understand you as with all ports it may sound alot better but its an old game made with stereo sound and i doubt they remade all of the sound files for a much more pure 192kbps better than cd quality wavelength

Yeah, it may technically have compatibility for Dolby Digital but the quality of the sound won't be anything that'll really take advantage of it. Especially since when the game was originally created it only had compatibility for stereo and mono sound. It'll be good, it's just that 3S isn't a game to really show off your sound system with. I absolutely love the music in the game it's just that the game itself wasn't made to take advantage of Dolby Digital sound 6 years ago when it first released so the Dolby Digital functionality of the game won't be all that great. You might hear 1 or 2 things you wouldn't normally hear come out the back speakers but that's bout it. LOL.

Update: I didnt think 3s would support dolby D to good. But it turns out that this shit sounds ALOT better music is crisp can here ever individual instrument. The speech that charcters say before supers, parrys etc etc have all been amplified and will blow you ear drums OUT. To any1 that can grab digital audio for this game please do its a must I cant even go back to the old composite audio...ever. I dont even want to talk about Halo 2 O_O

i play hyper on a HDTV set, only in 480p though but still noticably better than normal :)
