her name is "Antonia", I think....but she lost today, so she will not be back...unless they do the whole wild card thing, or bring back the highest scorers(*can't remember if she would qualify for that...)

*Charlize Theron with the dark hair = Absolutely Delicious.:wow: I may need to bring tissues to the theatre when seeing Aeon Flux. This suddenly reminds me...I need to get 2 Days in the Valley on dvd....cuz Charlize had some spectacular lingerie scene in that...with the added bonus of a later catfight with Teri Hatcher.:wow:

My fiance told me that I should be upstairs watching TV and paying tribute to Eddie.. fuck.

I can't watch TV when it's about the death of one of my favorite wrestlers. It just doesn't work like that. I haven't been this upset about a wrestling-related incident since I got to see Droz get owned by D-Lo when I was a freshman in HS.. That shit fucking killed me.

I just don't .. have the want to put myself through that torture.

That, and I never knew he gave a shit about wrestling. I mean, I stopped watching in like, 2002 or so, but I think I might start up again.. I might start watching TNA since names i fucking recognize are there.

Yeah, i moved to the P.I. from New Jersey during 1999. Before i moved here, i could understand 40% (i think) of Filipino but when i moved here... yeah, i had a hard time trying to get in with the language. It's great that everyone knew how to speak english here, so i didn't have too much of a head ache at school... but i still wanted to know what the hell people where gossiping about. I just learned from the people around me, my relatives, friends, etc and i was able to speak in Taglish after the 6 monthes i stayed here, then i just learned it all. I can speak tagalog, but not that fluent since my american accent gets in the way at times. I still speak english at home and taglish with my girlfriend, but when i'm with my highschool buds i speak straight up tagalog.

That's pretty interesting man.

So what about when your hangin' downtown, talking to random peeps. Do prefer to talk to them in tagalog more than english?

Anyone else feel bad when they outbid people on eBay? I just got another Sega Saturn not too long ago, so some of the stuff I bid on is moderately rare...I feel bad for beating people.

Speaking of which, what the fuck were the oddds of me finding Guardian Heroes, Dark Savior and Fighters Megamix in the pawn shop by the house I grew up in for $11, total? Happened years ago, and I'm still pretty amazed. I'm gonna try and mod my Saturn next month...wish me luck. If I get electrocuted...I want it to say in someone's sig here that I died with a loved one.

Angry people suck. People who are angry all the time...are bad people. There's a sloid chance if you're doing whatever, and you see someone being an asshole, that that person is an asshole most of the time. Those are just the odds.

People who have "issues" hear things differently, and flip out. I remember I was in a bookstore on a college campus, and one of the people at a cash register asked some chick who walked in to leave her purse up front. It was a standard thing, people leave their backpacks and stuff up front all the time, there are even lockers for your stuff, etc. There's actually a sign that asks you not to walk around with your backpack, bag, etc. She flips the fuck out, like she's about to be raped. "I'M not leaving MY PURSE up FRONT," she says. As if she were being robbed, or someone was forcing her to be victimized (have her things stolen...there was a roughly 0% chance of that actually happening, btw).

Was listening to Loveline tonight, and the same thing sort of happened. Some crazy bitch was on the line, asking about being a whore or whatever, and Drew, not getting his USUAL vibe he gets from fucked up people, chances it and asks if she ever had any trauma growing up when she was around 8 years old. You could almost hear her rolling her eyes, and she says in this uber-bitchy tone "God, why does everyone who calls have to have something WRONG with them??" Like, they ask every caller about their childhood traumas. But, they don't. They ask MAYBE 1/8, if that, and rarely will he ever ask a male. What she heard was something different from what was actually happening, because she was a disturbed bitch. People who are doing abnormal things or having abnormal thoughts/preoccupations get asked about things, the same way if someone has a big scar, you ask how they got it. What she hears, is that EVERYONE gets asked, because the host is JUDGING them. If someone does something non-mainstream, that's because they're CRAZY...when in reality it's perfectly normal. That is, of course, not what the host is saying at all.

BTW, her parents divorced when she was 9.

I don't get it either honestly. Perhaps because I'm a guy so I don't have anything that I need in some bag? If I'm going in a store, I leave my bag in the car. Partly because I don't want to carry it around in a store and partly because I don't want the drama.

Is it wrong for a storekeeper to ask a customer to leave their bag at the front? Is it disrespectful to the customer? I don't really think so.

Meh. The Boondocks is pretty disappointing IMO. I'm so tired of everyone jocking it like it's the new Christ. The strip was classic and subtle, but the cartoon doesn't even follow it. All I'm seeing are lots of unimpressive bells and whistles to appease ratings.

The voice acting is mediocre halfassery 80% of the time, and the humor is yet another run-of-the-mill standard for Adult Swim. It remains a mystery as to what exactly 'new' it brings to the table at all outside of what the strip has already hinted at for years. I understand ratings equate money.. but god damn, Aaron. Take more control. All of this shit is random, son.

Christ.

I'm done. I'm really not surprised by how I haven't particularily missed this place either in the past couple of weeks.

Maybe I'm finally growing out of it.

It's odd that books on parenting are successful, as if there is a uniform way to do things in that aspect of life....I think different kids obviously need different methods of discipline and other things....one little kid could just require less physical discipline, imo....while the next kid may need his or her ass spanked to hell and back.

Personally, I'm just glad I don't have to worry about this bullshit just yet....and hopefully I won't have to worry about it for quite awhile. I'm enjoying being "kid-free" for now.

*those Strawberry shortcake-ish costumes were easily the HOTTEST new "in-style" outfits this past Halloween. I was just on a Webshots "halloween" themed search last night(*stayed up too late in the process, unfortunately...the results I was getting on this search were TOO DELICIOUS, folks. webshots has got to be the most inadvertently sexy website in the entire history of the internet...I have probably acquired several thousand pictures off just that site by now...)

*example of that "strawberry shortcake-ish" outfit: http://community.webshots.com/photo/488823363/488823363hZoXXs
...I think this has just become a REQUIRED outfit for whoever my future wife is....just like the schoolgirl or cheerleader uniforms...there simply is no room for debate on this issue. It's just something that has to be....if she's not down...well hey...she could get the hell out of my face. I stand firm on these requirements.

VG is cool IMO. Just another misunderstood kid trying to get his voice out...the underdog that has ability(Premium Members), yet provides his posts to a crowd that is mixed in feelings. The reaction of any post, if not all, will always be this way, and clearly, VG Emblem has been the target of unsuccessfulness because his scale tips to the negative area..

I know I am hated. Something to live with. It is certain that somewhere, somehow, there is someone who despises you, regardless of how many people like/befriend you. There is always someone who has been burned indirectly/directly enough to give you the thumbs down.

Why does it matter? I ask. Either way, we all end up alone. Live and die alone, unless if you fall into the twins category. Eventually, we will all fall into the solo casket, preparing to meet the consequences of our decisions on the afterlife plane..

Life is too short, I figure. Allies make it last longer.

I personally hate VG Emblem, but that's just me.

Actually "hate" is too strong of a word. It's more like mild annoyance. Like if your bed sheet comes loose and your feet are chafing on the bare mattress surface, but you're too sleepy to do anything about it, so you just live with it and keep sleeping. That's VG Emblem to me.

________

So I'm reading these baseball articles about how A-Rod was the MVP. And people are saying like "He hit 48 home runs and whatever stats, etc. while playing Gold Glove defense at third base."

But that's stupid, because he's never won a Gold Glove at third. Eric Chavez won the Gold Glove this year - not A-Rod. He's never won a Gold Glove award at third.

You could say "while playing Gold Glove QUALITY defense" but that's kinda iffy too. He had 12 errors and a .971 fielding percentage, which puts him fourth in the AL.

It's been bugging me all week, but no one really cares enough for me to rant to them about it.

_______

I gotta stop watching sports. Between baseball, basketball, and hockey there's no time or energy left for school.

I have to say though, even though I love baseball, I find football and soccer incredibly slow. The highlights are amazing, but watching the actual games...it's not fun. Football games are on average three hours long...and there are about 15-20 minutes of real, actual football action.

And cricket. Oh God, cricket is ridiculous. There's barely any strategy to it. And how can you watch one team score 300 points before the other team even gets its turn? That's ridiculous. So...boring...

Baseball's awesome though. There's a rhythm to the game, but I'll admit that it's a lot more fun playing baseball, and it's boring to watch if you're not really into baseball.

JackTenrac!

Baseball. Not sure about the rhythm. But I see strategy in pitching. The game has alot of personality now more than it did pre 90s, but I was not born then, so it is hard to say. How the hell is Cricket scored? Every time the guy touches base?

Carpet Lint: how do you feel about the hometeam post '93?
I remembered when they won the 2nd time. Imagine a Third Grader hearing a hometown sports figure verbally abusing his right to free speech on national televison.

The team was bad ass. Carter, Olerud, Alomar, Borders, Fernandez and the others pwned serverly.

To each his own then. I was really teetering back and forth between asses and tits as a teenager. Now I have to say I'm more into tits than asses but I still love seeing some nice ones. It's just a shame that I now go to a white college so all I see are flat asses everywhere.

The scoring system is runs, where they have two guys on opposite facing bases, and every time they run to the other base and switch, that's a run. So you have to hit the ball far away and run a bunch of times between the bases before they throw the ball back. 'cept the thing is, there's no realistic way for them to end the "inning". A team can just keep scoring runs until the sun supernovas and consumes the Earth in a brilliant flash of forgiving white light.

That's the basic gist of it. If there's any cricket lovers here (and by God are there a lot at UofT) feel free to jump in with corrections and roast my ass.

Carpet Lint: how do you feel about the hometeam post '93?

y'know...at first I thought of suicide bombers as the dumbest act ever in the history of our sad and depressing human nature....but then I remembered this one Faces of Death vid, where some woman(or man..I forgot) set themselves ON FIRE..with gasoline, in protest of something. I don't care what you're protesting, or how strong your convictions about it are....that is THE single dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I've set myself on fire, but at least it was alcohol....the fire burns off the alcohol rather than me...and I only did it twice....and the purpose was purely for laughs...(*rather than dying in a horrible way to protest something)

I'm hearing about this ass Michael Neudow or however his name is spelled....now he wants "In God We Trust" off the money. I can't help but think...don't you have a life?. Also, why the sudden attempts to remove christian references to anything in this society? I don't think athiests were this whiny and bitchy back in the old days, were they? Didn't they just go right along not believing in God without trying to remove that aspect from society entirely? Why has this become such a battle all of a sudden? I wouldn't try to suppress whatever your beliefs are....I simply don't care. And what's with the supposed controversy of Walmart and other similar places NOT saying "Merry Christmas"? How is that such a big deal? Again...it may be surprising to know I consider myself to be of the christian belief....but I really don't care whether or not a random Walmart employee tells me "Merry Christmas!". When I go in, it's to buy whatever I'm looking for, and stare in an ever-increasing creepy fashion at all the hot ass that frequents Target....I don't even care to TALK at all with the employees unless it's during the process of buying something. Besides...during the holiday season...it's best to get in and get out of that store as quickly as possible....nobody WANTS to be there in a crowd of 2 billion people shopping at the exact same time.

speaking of that...I got to get the gifts this weekend....I can't stand the holiday craziness in the stores. The only time a crowded store has ever been a good thing was that Back to School craziness at Target a few months ago, because of all the ridiculously hot ass there....heh, I posted a thread about that if I recall...yeah...that was a good day.

Yeah, people like that give atheists a bad name. To me, atheism is such a personal choice. You're choosing not to be religious for yourself and no one else. So why would you want to push your dumb atheist agenda on other people? It seems selfish and whiny. I don't mind 'God bless you', 'In God We Trust' or saying the pledge of allegiance. Because it doesn't infringe on my rights at all.

Yeah, people like that give Christians a bad name. To me, Christianity is such a personal choice. You're choosing to be religious for yourself and no one else. So why would you want to push your dumb Christian agenda on other people? It seems selfish and whiny. I don't mind not hearing 'God bless you', 'In God We Trust' or not saying "In God we Trust" in the pledge of allegiance. Because it doesn't infringe on my rights at all.

See how it works both ways?

I think it is complete bullshit for "In God we trust" to be on our money, and to say "Under God" in the Pledge. It doesn't really bother me, but I can easily see how it can bother someone else. I mean please, you don't consider putting a religious belief on our currency and having little kids saying that they defend their country under a God they know nothing about is pushing a Christian agenda? Atheism should be the default religion everywhere, in the sense that nothing religious should ever be imposed upon anyone, especially not in public places like schools. Whether it directly affects you or not, it should still be seen as unacceptable.

And so what if it doesn't infringe on your rights? Neither does gay marriage or abortion, but you'd still defend those wouldn't you? Newdow is just a really determined man with an agenda to stop religion from being imposed on the entire nation, which in the ways he's fighting it, it is. I can see no counter argument to what he wants accomplished. Take "Under God" out of the Plege...give me one reason why we shouldn't? Take "In God we Trust" off of our money...why not? I don't trust in God, so why should I like the fact that a dollar bill is telling me I do?

People are so quick to make fun of him, but what, in essence, is he really doing wrong? Being persistant is wrong? He should just give up? He's fighting for something that is arguably very legitimate. What is wrong with that? If I were to flip the script and look at a Christian trying to add more "God" to our everyday life legally, I'd think they were totally out of line in the sense that we have a. Separation of Church and State, b. Other religions represented besides Christianity, and c. People who just plain don't want to be bothered with religion.

Shorthand version: Newdow isn't doing anything wrong. In fact, he's almost absolutely right. Keep religion PRIVATE, please.

I think that if it's such a huge issue, then future prints of the money should not have "In God We Trust" and we should cut "Under God" fromt he pledge and all that, just so that these issues which are entirely meaningless can be taken care of. That way we can actually focus on important issues like social program reform and foreign policy.

I just still don't see how anyone would care either way what's on the money. It could be "In Satan We Trust", or "In Goku, We Trust" and honestly...I'd spend it just the same as the current money. If it's not in line with your personal beliefs...what's really the big deal? Like the pledge in schools...if it happened to not be a kid's belief...he could just not say it, and realize "this doesn't apply to me.". So many other atheists, satanist, people into wicca or whatever seem to do that just fine...and it's not really a big deal to them.

on another note entirely...there was the Thanksgiving Luncheon at work today....that definitely wasn't worth the 6 bucks...well, maybe...I did get "seconds", so perhaps it evens out. The chicken, rolls, and green beans were good at least....the mac/cheese was straight up NASTY. Whoever made that should be banned from making mac/cheese for the rest of life....and I can't believe no one brought Pecan pie....how could you not have pecan pie? That should be illegal...especially so close to actual Thanksgiving.

Rather than lying in my apartment and swearing at the ceiling, I decided to go to the clinic today. I had a scheduled appointment anyway, so going a day early wouldn't hurt I figured.

The doctor took another x-ray, and basically things look the same as it did when I broke it a little over a week ago. This was VERY discouraging to hear - I'd kind of figured I had at least one of my six weeks down. The doc said he still thought it was fine, but once again brought up the possibility of surgery. I was actually pissed off upon leaving the office.

But then again, knowing that this is a Japanese doctor (who in general, suck renowned amounts of ass), I decided to check up on it for myself. More or less everything I've read about it says this is a common sports injury that heals on its own.

I dunno what to believe. I am disappointed in the lack of change...but then again, it has only been a week. Fuck this injury.

When it starts to get to that point then I'll start bitching. But it hasn't and I doubt it will.

So what? It doesn't matter. The majority of America is white, so should it be ok to put "White Pride" on federal stuff like money?

Religion or lack of religion is a personal choice. Nothing you are saying has anything to do with what I'm saying. Taking the use of the word "God" out of the Pledge and off of our currency is not supporting Atheism, and it's not denying Christianity. It's doing exactly what should be done: keeping religion out of school and off of Federally issued things. Maybe in a really arbitrary way, but what difference does that make? It should not be there, whether anyone agrees with it or not, or whether they even care or not, it really does not need to be there. And Newdow is advocating against this. Again, where is the problem?

Aspects of our culture are obviously going to have Christian aspects. Aspects of our PUBLIC SCHOOLS and Federal currencies, should not. Christianity is everywhere. Religion is everywhere. Devout Christians can drive to a church while listening to Gospel music and seeing bumper stickers that say 1-800-PRAY. And that's ok. A devout Atheist sees all this religious stuff right in front of him, plus his young child saying that this is a nation under God in her public school classroom, and his dollar bills say "In God we Trust", which he does not. But he's wrong for wanting that stopped? With all the Christianity everywhere as you say, why is it so whiny and selfish for ONE ATHEIST to want these dinosaur aged things changed?

How does it not work both ways?

So seeing God's name in money and federal systems is meant to be a Christian aspect? Even Athiest have some sort of god, as wel as the other religions of this world, and the only thing you are undoing is the history our that has been present from centuries of building your country. History should be preserved in any way it could and this is a part of that history. I might be out of context, taken and granted, but changing the time periods would also ignore that history. Weren't these the things your country battled themselves to keep?

***

I noticed the Terry Fox Run for the Cure poster on the bus. The guy was 21 years old when he started to run across Canada. Pretty inspiring for a guy down on his luck. I was not surprised at that. The fact that he took to running was surprise enough.

A friend reminded me of how many acheivements and strides I made to attain my current position. All battles of personal endev. , all defeated by Bear. I tried to forget them for personal reasons, yet I needed to remind myself of them to build that confidence needed to kick some ass. I was always that bastard. That conquering bastard. Well, not necessarily a Christian aspect, but a religious one. And to me, that shouldn't be. God is not a part of our history. God is not a part of anyone's history, because He is not a historical figure. I have no god and I don't think certain issues of history should be preserved, so you're speaking from an entirely personal point of view right now.

And this country also battled partially to keep slavery legal. History gets undone. Laws are overturned. Laws are considered obsolete as time goes on. Parts of the Constitution have been completly removed, literally crossed out. So why again, is this one thing this one man is trying to do, so wrong? You have groups of Christians and other religious groups trying to outlaw same sex marriage, abortion, birth control pills, premarital sex, all kinds of crazy stuff. And they get so much support. One man says "Hey, I don't think it's right for religious stuff to be in the schools and in federal systems. I'm gonna advocate against it." And he is so wrong, so selfish, so whiny, so crazy, so everything. It makes no sense.

Maybe it's just me, but considering this country's past and present, I wish I could get Christianity seperated from it. Granted, I think these injustices have been more evident of the lack of character in the perpetrators and not the religion itself, but that's how I feel about things any time a religion is branded for those things which its followers do that are outside of said religion's teachings.

I agree, but it's easy to feel that way about things even when the followers are supposedly following the religion, i.e. same sex marriage, abortion, premarital sex. I find it disgusting when people use religion as fuel for their predjudices.

Which brings me to this! From Dan Savage.

"Straight Rights Update: There were two disturbing developments in the battle over straight rights last week. First, we know that Target fills its ads with dancing, multi-culti hipsters giving off a tolerant, urbanist vibe and runs hipster-heavy ad campaigns positioning Target as a slightly more expensive, more progressive alternative to Wal-Mart. Well, as John Aravosis revealed on Americablog.org last week, Target’s politics are as red as their bulls-eye logo. The chain allows its pharmacists to refuse to dispense birth control and emergency contraception to female customers if the pharmacist objects on religious grounds. What’s worse, the company claims that any of its employees have a right to discriminate against any of its customers provided the discrimination is motivated by religious beliefs. Read all about it at www.americablog.org and www.plannedparenthood.org.

Second, more troubling news from Tucson, Ariz., where a 20-year-old rape victim called dozens of pharmacies in town before she found one that stocked emergency contraception (EC). “When she finally did find a pharmacy with it, she said she was told the pharmacist on duty would not dispense it because of religious and moral objections,” reported the Arizona Daily Star. Emergency contraception, the story continued, “prevents pregnancy by stopping ovulation, fertilization, or implantation of a fertilized egg. The sooner the emergency contraception is taken after intercourse, the more effective it is.”

Don’t just sit there, heteros. Defend your rights! Don’t shop at Target, and write ’em and tell ’em why you’re going elsewhere. (Go to target.com and click on “contact us,” then “Target Corporation.”) As for Fry’s Pharmacy in Tucson, the shop that wouldn’t dispense EC to a freakin’ rape victim, the fundamentalist pharmacist claims it’s her “right” not to do her fucking job. Well, you have a right to free speech. Call Fry’s at (520) 323-2695 and ask them why the fuck a pharmacy that won’t dispense EC keeps the drug in stock. Do they do it just to torment rape victims? (“Oh yeah, we’ve got EC—but you can’t have any. Don’t you know that Jesus wants you to bear your rapist’s child?”) Rise up, straight people, and demand your rights!"

And later this.

"STRAIGHT RIGHTS UPDATE
A vaccine for two common strains of HPV, the virus that causes genital warts, is currently moving through the federal approval process. HPV can also cause cervical cancer in women, and these cancers kill 4,000 American women annually. Who could possibly be against a vaccine that has proven 100 percent effective in clinical tests and will save thousands of women's lives every year? Those "culture of life" assfucks, that's who.

"A new vaccine that protects against cervical cancer has set up a clash between health advocates [and] social conservatives who say immunizing teenagers could encourage sexual activity," The Washington Post reported last week. Doctors want teenage girls to receive the vaccine when they hit puberty, something the religious right opposes: "Because the vaccine protects against a sexually transmitted virus, many conservatives oppose making it mandatory, citing fears that it could send a subtle message condoning sexual activity before marriage. . . . 'I've talked to some who have said, "This is going to sabotage our abstinence message," ' said Gene Rudd, associate executive director of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations." (To his credit, Rudd says he'd want his daughters vaccinated.)

Studies show that young men and women are still having premarital sex—no shit—despite the billions of dollars this administration pours into abstinence education. A study conducted at Texas A&M found that kids who've been subjected to abstinence-only sex education, the right's preferred brand, have more sex than kids who aren't subjected to it. So the right is saying they're willing to kill American women in order to avoid "sabotaging" their ineffectual abstinence-only message. Nice.

Who ultimately gets to determine the government's position on the HPV vaccine? Thanks to George W. Bush, the Christian fundies do. From The Washington Post: "The jockeying [around the HPV vaccine] reflects the growing influence social conservatives, who had long felt overlooked by Washington, have gained on a broad spectrum of policy issues under the Bush administration. In this case, a former member of the conservative group Focus on the Family serves on the federal panel that is playing a pivotal role in deciding how the vaccine is used." "W" stands for women, he told us when he ran for president. But George W. Bush never said anything about standing for live women. The right-wingers, the fundies, and the sex-phobes don't just have it in for the queers. They're coming for your asses too. "

What...a bunch of bullshit. These are the selfish assholes we need to worry about. Not fucking Michael Newdow. And with this, I am off!

Just a clarification here...

I don't really think you can pour fire ants down someone's vagina if you've already stapled it shut. Just a suggestion - you might want to switch the order of those two. It really works much better that way since...
a) pouring the fire ants thus becomes possible
b) the stapling prevents the fire ants from coming out with is another benefit
c) the stapling might also provoke them, which is yet another benefit

I'm just saying, is all.

I still don't see how "In God We Trust" on your silly American money pushes Christianity or religion on anyone. If your belief structure as an atheist is shaken by the fact that there's mentions of scary old "God" on your money, then maybe you should look up another belief structure.

Doesn't it just acknowledge the fact that the founding of America was based on religious principles, and that all your forefathers were big on God? Isn't it clearly obvious that these same values are no longer in affect in your crazy country anymore?

Scrubbing off hundreds of years of history just to be politically correct so you won't offend some tight ass idiots?

You have this part completely backwards. People are advocating against real issues, like I said a few times, abortion, same sex marriage, birth control, and the last two things I posted which are completely ridiculous. Maybe Michael Newdow is a "tight-assed idiot", but he is one person, one, that I can think of with an "Atheist agenda". He doesn't have a huge following, his ideas aren't going in the polls, and the President is not going to discuss them seriously. I'm saying let the man do what he wants to do. What he's doing is not wrong, is not hurting anyone, and in no way infringes on peoples' rights, as the issues that so many other (mainly religious) people are trying to work against. No one really cares for or against him...if what he wants gets done or doesn't, nothing really happens. So there's really no point defending or putting him down...cause it's just not important. Most of the time, money, and energy spent on this is Newdow's alone.

I hate to keep talking about this, but a lot of the stuff you guys are saying just isn't relevant. Religion was a big part of the government 200+ years ago, and it's not anymore. So what would be wrong with getting rid of it, even in little ways? And btw, you being condescending really doesn't help, why do you have to do that?

Our nation was also founded by a bunch of racist, sexist slaveowners. But that stuff is clearly wrong and outdated, and has been since been abolished and people have been working toward getting any notion of that stuff completely removed. I'm sure those issues were considered stupid and irrelevant back then to the offenders right? The arguments about the foundation of this country and the history just really don't hold up here, because we are constantly changing and evolving to meet the times. If other outdated things can be slowly phased out of our everyday life, why can't religion? And if you think that just simply removing the ideas of God from certain places is scrubbing off hundreds of years of history...you are wrong. It's all in the textbooks, in the writings. Just like slavery is. You can not get rid of history. The basis of religion is there, and it's in all religious people's hearts. So, you know, it doesn't need to be on the money or in the school. We have church and other places of worship for that.

I mean God himself is not part of our history. Religion yes. Jesus Christ, yes. God? The belief of Him, the acts of Him, yadda yadda, but He Himself was not around at the time.

This country is not officially Christian and it never will be! I don't think I mentioned free speech.

Bottom corner... the drop down menu.

As the good book says and the world recognizes: Jesus' death separated time itself. Just because some people cannot respect it, does not mean that the world has to accomodate for that view they have. The change itself would be not only cumbersome, but ill planned and redundent as well as a great way to waste resources.

Burn every book that records history because of the new time eras? Smart move.

IE just freezes up for no fuckin reason at all, and SRK quick reply box doesn't even work on there...on my older comp, sometimes IE would actually freeze the whole machine. It's an odd experience. At first I kinda liked it....perhaps because I was merely in denial...I wanted Red Hot Rumble to be good...I NEEDED it to be good....but it's just "wrong" in so many little ways. The only enjoyable thing about it is the roster of playable characters...it's great to finally play as other characters again, including the classic bosses...but nearly every other aspect of the game makes me want to smash something and punch someone(*preferrably someone from the dev.team) in the face....and with each time I played, I only grew to hate this game more and more. There's more detailed hatred in the "Current Games Discussion" thread.

It's probably best to just get it when it hits a dirt cheap price....which will be very soon considering everyone in this stupid world ignored Viewtiful Joe anyway, because as we all know, if it's not Final Yawn Fantasy the mildly-interactive movies, or "DAT MADDEN YO", it's shit, and not worth anyone's time, right?

See, this is one major reason I'd just have programmers/game devs on my payroll if I were rich....then the games I want get made, no matter what the damn public thinks is good or not...games would be specifically tailored to MY taste all the time.

Para Para is a weird line dance ritual that girls in japan do. Or did. I think now it's more male people doing it?

But I know most of the old dances from the '00 - '01 era where clubs like Velfarre and Pylon were open and humongous, girls wore huge ass platform shoes, and went to para para classes where they learned the dances.

It's really fun if you can get people to do it.. if i'm at Otakon next year i'll be Para Para dancing on at least one of the days.

Or even that maybe I decided to put it here in case it hadn't been posted before and/or the original thread was deleted? Christ, man, get with it.

It's really fun if you can get people to do it.. if i'm at Otakon next year i'll be Para Para dancing on at least one of the days.

which came first the game or the dance?

wait were u at otakon this yr?

It's cool being greater than great.

I remember that from grade 6. There were these three guys who beasted the hell out of WWF. Each and every time they would say,"I'm not great. I'm greater than great." and quote the wresters themselves. Quite the team. One of them loved off Shawn Michaels so much, that when we had a middle school war, all he did was give people sweet chin music. hahaha

Speaking of which, my Cosby-look-alike friend plays that Para Para game non-stop. Total anime buff and he's west-indian canadian. Well, black, really. Picture Bill and Fat Albert combined doing the motions.

Nishiko: look at his thread starts. There is evidence that he could possibly not be a guy at all or some form of homophob looking for something...but that would rule out the fact that he states the make out idea. Confusing.

Iluv: I would not be surprised if she finishes you off here with a Baraka smile on her face. So what if it is old? It's her thought and she's thinking OUT LOUD.

As for the religion debate: well...I am out.

Wow, i've slept 3-4 hours every night for the past 3 days. Mario kart ds online owns my soul. But i'm hella sleepy in school, but i kinda like it, it makes time go by faster. Is this unhealthy somehow?
Speaking of unhealthy, my bookbag weighs alot. Seriously, i think it weighs like 30+ pounds. I came in to home-room earlier today, sleepy as hell, sat down and dropped my bookbag on the floor from like 2 feet up. BBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!! It was hella loud, like a huge thud loud. I think i caused some national panic and disorder, i think someone seriosuly thought it was an earthquake. Then everybody was like "what the hell!!? What do you have in there, all your games?*they laugh as if that was somehow a good joke*" And i've also noticed that alot of kids have started calling me "DS boy" or something along those lines.

Not physically. Sleep deprivation will cause a number of problems, like slower reaction time, less coordination, blurred vision, crabbiness, even sometimes hallucinaton and such (sounds like drugs!)...but nothing will happen to your body physically. Unless you were to fall asleep while driving or something, but you don't drive. So you'll be alright...just get a good night's sleep pretty soon and all that stuff will be back to normal.

And don't carry around such a heavy bookbag; you can cause all sorts of back, neck and shoulder problems doing that. There's no reason to. Don't you have a locker or something?

WHOAH shit hits the fan on the final episode of Real World next week! Wes(?) came up to that army girl all pissed off like "PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME BITCH!"...and someone was holding her back, and I noticed her little denim skirt was completely pulled up to her waist...the entire ass and thigh combo on display=HOT. Anyway, I've missed probably half the season since the return of my Boston Legal...that along with Nip/Tuck dominates Tuesday nights for me.

I'm so jealous of these young stars...like Omarion...dude just turned 21, and he's already well-known and RICH by now. It must be so nice to be so "set" like that before you're even 25. Dude could just stay at home for weeks on end playing games and fucking hot broads all day and all night. With that kind of "early success" in life, I would've still gone to college...but PURELY to have fun. Grades wouldn't really matter since I'd already have millions in the bank....those Olsen girls probably feel the same way...haha...they're going to college just for fun...they'd probably never admit it though. Dammit man...the life of a young successful celeb...if it's wrong then I don't want to be right.

*ohhhhh and the new season of The Gauntlet hits December 5th...MTV really knows how to advertise...they KNOW they have an extra juicy season this time....I love it.

Chronic lack of sleep lowers your immune system and also causes eye bags, and I suspect it probably ages you slightly faster too. I used to be a chronic insomniac and it made me have...well, under my eyes it isn't like it was before.

By chronic insomniac I mean I occasionally went 5 days without sleeping, and a few hours every two days was "good" for me, on the low end of lack of sleep, so I know what I'm talking about.

The damage is definitely more mental than physical though.

I used to be the same way. Sleeping is really obnoxious for me. The bags under my eyes typically went away when I got more sleep...and I've never heard of that with the immune system, that sucks.

I originally was just making a few sausage patties (yum), then I realized I could make a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel! I love when stuff like that happens, when you realize you can easily make something so much more awesome. Plus I need all the calories I can get...I've been losing weight. I'm right around 100 pounds now, and I've never weighed more than 108.

What's your food diet like over in Japan?

I'm pissed that I spent $14 on Japanese food today (beef katsu bento box, spicy tuna sushi roll), but I was still hungry afterwards. When I go to Chinese restruants, I either get all I can eat buffet for $6 or they give me a plate full of whatever I want for my money. The bento box came with TEACUP full of fried rice.

Japanese food here where I live in the US --> costs too much and you're not even full afterwards

^haha, that's why I eat real food....burgers, steaks, "Gyros" chicken sandwiches, and of course, the ultimate Elite food category --Italian. Nobody beats the italians when it comes to cooking. Their culture has left a legacy that is basically magical magnificence served on a plate. heh, asian food = my stomach will actually say "Nigga please."

eh, at least it's passable and thus not as bad as Indian. I had some of that trash one time...I will never eat at one of those places again in life. That was a tragedy.

Curry rice, pasta, and ramen. Lots of ramen. It doesn't help that I can't eat fish, which is what most of the Japanese diet is centered around.

Eating in Japan is stupidly expensive. You are guaranteed to be out at LEAST $10. Probably more like $15-20, sometimes $30-50 even. For the "drinks", you get your beverage in a small, thin glass that costs $3 with no free refills.

Nope, we don't have lockers for everything, only for P.E.
Damn, if there's one thing that seriously fucks me over in school and life, it's my horrible luck and memory. I always forget to do shit, and my luck is plain horrible. Today in school, i had some assignment due on To Kill a Mockingbird . I had to read up to page 99(i last read up to page 50) and do an assignment. I had only read up to page 75, and completely forgotten about the assignment. And to make matter even worse, i lost the packet that explains what to do exactly. I got to school, and during first period, i remembered about it. Then i got the biggest "OH SHIT!" feeling ever, not only did i have to hand it in at the beginning of 4th period, but i forgot the book at home. So yeah, it's the period right before lunch, so almost no time to do it, i was jittery as fuck. I visit the library during this 15 minute break and rented the book and did part of the assignment. Then at the beginning of 4th period, i finished it. Half-assed through and through. I guess there's only 1 lesson to be learned from this:
Half-ass things and everyhting will most likely turn out fine.

After losing the girl I spent the last three years living with only to have her leave me for my best friend, am I a bad person if I tell him she gave me (insert any STD) when I know she was cheating on me anyways, but I've still got a totally clean bill of health? How could this even work in my favor?

Or should I stop thinking and just do more shots and call all the girls I've been putting off for the last 3 years back who are way hotter than my ex?
