Some people watch baseball, football, or basketball for the weekends, but I prefer to watch the good ol' soccer matches (THE most popular sport worldwide minus the States for some reason). I watch the Mexican league, the Euro league, South American leagues...you name it! The whole damn world is so vast and varied...and the World Cup is just 8 months away! :clap:

BTW, in case you were wondering, yes, I also play it as well. I play a great goalkeeper, too (being 6'8" helps some, and yes, even with my almighty skinny-ness, that makes me a lot more agile).

I also recommend you play Winning Eleven 8 for PS 2 or XBOX, that game blows FIFA straight out of the water (funny how non-EA games play better).

WE 7 actually triggered my worst outburst of "videogame rage" ever...I was playing my Italy against another friend's France, and we were tied 1-1, but I had a penalty kick in my favor. I also wonder about the soccer thing. It's odd that we don't care about the sport, when the entire world seems to think it's the greatest thing ever. I'm part of the majority american opinion too...I also don't see the appeal....but then again maybe I don't count since I don't care for most sports in the first place. Besides summer olympics, I really only care about tennis....women's tennis, mostly. I also love women's beach volleyball, but that's mostly on TnA. Misty May's ass is SERIOUS. I'll never forget when her and Kerri won gold at the olympics last time...the way they carried on hugging each other and rolling around in the sand....I busted a nut off that.

*I saw Michelle Wie on CNN today...it was the first time I've actually seen video of her, since I don't care about golf of course. She's actually much cuter when you see her in motion. Pictures just don't do her justice for some reason. She looked quite hittable....mmmm...she's nice and FRESH too. And...RICH!! Soledad O'Brien was looking cuter than ever, btw. *Sarah Lane is on again...it's not just her looks that work for me...I'm loving her persona. Women everywhere should take note from Sarah and other ladies like her....a silly, goofy personality is adorable.

The whole Perfect Dark thing is strange to me...and I'm just now realizing this, actually. There's something that just doesn't match up to me when ya got a game that's full of good shootemup violence, a dash of espionage, cool weapons, etc....all that good macho stuff....but with a female character in the lead role. In other types of games (*fighters, for instance) I don't mind playing female characters....but something about the Perfect Dark thing just seems strange for me. As this came to me, I also realized that in Unreal Championship 2 and other FPS, I don't ever play the female characters. I'm not even sure WHY this just doesn't work for me, considering I don't care about the gender of your character(s) in other games.

I still have never experienced this. I remember way back, there was a thread about it being hard to be mixed or something, and I remember Airthrow talking about the problems and me just not getting or being able to agree with it. And still now...I mean I've had a few instances of ignorance about the subject, but none that were really extreme and none that really bothered me or stuck out too much. And especially not from black people. The couple times I or my family ever got just blatant racism about it was from white people. Other times have just been kinda ignorant assumptions.

Plus I'm quite sure it'd be a statistical anomoly for a black kid my age to get singled out 3 times in two years for mugging, so I'm sure there's a racial element to that too.

Yeah of course I'm mullato. I don't necessarily look black myself; I've been confused for Arabic and Hispanic more than just black. I have a long pointy nose which throws people off. And most black people that I know and even ones I don't don't care that I'm mixed. I've lived around black people my entire life, and have only a few times received any type of racism, whether indirect or direct, serious or forgettable, from any black people. Your experiences with racism don't dictate how the entire black race, or any race for that matter acts. And neither do mine; I'm definitely not denying that mulatto or any mixed race gets a lot of shit, but I personally haven't and I'd never say that the only reason I'm not is because I look black...which is not true on several levels.

We had a big discussion about that one day in one of my debate classes in HS.

Basically the class, racially was majority black, and a few hispanics. I was the only pale girl in the class.

A few of the black girls were lighter skinned, being mulatto girls. The others were darker. They got along fine, but both told some REALLY fucked up stories about family gatherings about how the lighter skinned ones were always under fire for being lighter, able to pass for spanish or even white in one of the girls cases.

Totally fucked up, IMO.

Man I just realized I am a totaly different person when I wake up early.

Every weekday (except Wednesday) I work from 11:00 to 8:00 which means I dont have to wake up until 10:00 each day. I like this schedule because it allows me to go to bed pretty late and not wake up tired. On Wednesday's however I have to wake up at 7:00 because I volunteer as a Teacher/Tutor for Kids with Cerebral Palsy from 8-10:00. This dosent really bother me because I just go to bed early Tuesday night.

Anyway this past Wednesday classes were canceled because the school was getting fumigated for bugs. They told me that they will just save whatever lesson plan they had for that day for next Wednesday. "Cool, no problem." I thought to myself. Well this morning I get a call at 6:50a.m. from the lady that organizes this volunteer program, asking me to come in because they wanted to do a make up session for this weeks missed class. I wanted to say, "No, I am way too fucking tired." but I hesitantly agreed and told her i'd be there at 8:00.

If I were to describe the mood I was in I would probably best describe it as, "Sleepy Rage." At this point I was really regretting playing Castlevania till three in the morning. After eating a bowl of Cinnamon toast Crunch I undress and get ready to take a shower. I pull the shower curtains back and I see a brown, hairy, Three inch long Spider in the bath tub. Normally I would freak out and run away like a little girl, But I was still pissed off. Especially since I could not find anything around me to kill it with. So I get into the bath tub with it and stomp my feet hoping to scare it away far enough that I can take a shower in peace. Instead of running away it lifts up its front two legs and gets in a defensive postition. This thing is not even scared of me!! He's like, "What Bitch?! What are you going to do?!?"

At this point I get really angry, I've only had about three hours of sleep and now I am having this face off with a spider in a bathtub who thinks I'm a pussy. So I kneel down to kill this little bastard and it starts walking towards me ready to bite me. I clench up my hand and wait for it to get closer, when it gets about few inches from my knee I slam my fist into it killing it instantly. Just picture Captain Commando doing his Anti-Air assist, except I was naked and a Blue Pillar of Electricity didnt come out. I wiped his guts off my knuckles and took a shower like nothing happened.

When I got to the school the volunteer lady asked me why I was late. I told her that I had to battle a spider for the right to use my bathtub. She asked me what kind of spider it was. I told her I dodnt know and just described it to her. She gave me a WTF kinda look and told me to follow her to her computer. She googles around and shows me a picture. She asks, "Was this the spider that you saw?" I told her yeah. And she says, "That is a Brown Recluse!, You could have got serioulsy hurt if that thing bit you!!" I shrugged it off and did my volunteer thing.

Now that I am wide awake and not In Sleepy Rage mode, I start to reflect on this mornings events, and think to myslef. Would I have done the same thing if I was wide awake knowing what i know now? And to be honest with you......Probably not. :xeye:

I haven't had vegetables in a long time...and it's purely out of laziness. After I cook up a burger, or some hash browns, or waffles, whatever...I'm just not in the mood to take the time to warm some broccoli or green beans. See, this gets back to one of the few sucky things about living on your own...you have to do everything yourself. That's a lot of "stuff" to do, and I don't like it. I have to cook, clean, wash the clothes, pick random junk up off the floor(so it doesn't happen. there's clothes all over the floor now), make sure everything is locked, dust(never happens; fuck that), clean the bathtub, etc. It's like the "house chores" get turned up 500% suddenly when you're no longer living at home with a parent. So, yeah...clothes are on the floor, and I don't really give a damn. I'm already tired enough coming home from work....I'm not about to do MORE shit.

I've had a fantastic idea for a sentai-themed superhero and story...it's been in my mind for about 2 years now. This is one of many ideas I'll begin to shop around as I get more financially "ok" and able to set out in search of a job I actually want. Actually before I got mugged I was keeping a list of interracial couples in my wallet that I saw (obviously there is gonna be some inaccuracies because sometimes people look ambiguous, etc). I worked at a touristy place so I saw hundreds of couples a day.

I imagined there'd be a lot more black men white women couples since black women bitch about all the brothas going for white women, but it was actually pretty even (slightly more black men than white women). One thing I noticed here as well as Washington state is that the black guy tends to be noticeably better looking than his white woman. The black guy is usually a decent looking to average guy with a noticeably ugly white woman, it's like they take a hit in the looks department to "upgrade" to white or something. The Vice versa is true too, a REALLY average white guy can score an INCREDIBLY BANGIN' sista, a good looking white guy never will go with a black woman who isn't as good looking as him.

I went to the old folk's home to see my grandma, she has Dementia unfortunately. In the place, many decorations are everywhere for Halloween, and guess what? GHOST AND SKELETON DECORATIONS! TOMBSTONES! I was laughing at that. Seriously, you can't not laugh at that. The old people don't seem to mind, they all look really depressed as they wait until they die. on a sidenote there....I hated sculpture class. In fact, it was the only art class I've truly despised. Great Breakfast Caper, part 2--Well, I just "stole breakfast" again from the same place. This will be the last time for quite awhile though, as I got a kinda strange look from one of the workers. I still don't get that...it's a small hotel/inn...but come on...out of all the guests there, how can you possibly look at any random person and immediately think "hey, he's not a guest here!" If I worked there, I sure wouldn't be able to tell. Actually, it just hit me...this is probably a black/white thing, considering most people who are guests there are usually white...it's not a huge discrepancy between the two groups...but I'd say it's easily 70%white to maybe 30% black....but yah...If I do this again some time, it definitely won't be this particular location.

This time it actually took some patience and effort on my part. I had problems getting in this time. This one lady was out for a smoke, then she started walking back like she was going in, and began rummaging through her purse....so of course I got out the car because I figure this is my chance....but dammit...instead of her keycard, she pulls out another pack of CIGS!!! I was immediately thinking "you bitch." So at that point, my cover was blown at least to her, as I had to pretend like I suddenly couldn't find my card...I didn't ask her to let me in since that would probably tip her suspicions even more(*she would think "why doesn't he just go around front?...and he's black, so he's probably a street person anyway." <<yeah, it's the south, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear those thoughts if I read the minds of random white people.) But of course, before actually going to the front, I pretended to forget something, and went back to my car.

More people came out, but I was parked at an angle where I couldn't see them coming to react fast enough to this.(automatic door would close by the time I make it over there) Finally I caught a break with this couple tht didn't even see me. They came out earlier, and were headed back in. I walked fast enough to catch up and slip in that back door.

While rounding up my "loot", I was beginning to get worried because of the worker who gave me a strange look....she was also watching the area with the food, but I continued putting stuff on my plate just like the other guests. I got a cinnamon roll thing, 2 banana nut muffins, 2 biscuits, quite a few honey packets,(+ a jelly by mistake), and some ham.

oohh....I did get a collectible tv theme then. The theme song for GI Joe Sigma 6 IS different, as I suspected. I only caught a piece of it last week, so I wasn't sure. I was just eavesdropping...my "extra" room(*yep, still not sure what it is..I sometimes refer to it as the "Batcave", or my Dungeon) happens to be right next to the front entrance, and there's a little window that's not quite sealed, with a screen covering...anyway, I put my ear up to the crevice in the window to listen in on these 2 cute girls talking with some guys...sadly, nothing interesting was said. They were mostly talking about dogs; this was sparked by someone outside previously who brought their dog in, and the girls did the usual "awww he's so cute!" routine. The smoke was terrible though...what is it with younger people and the damn smoking? Everyone from my generation on down HAS NO EXCUSE. Actually, I've noticed a lot more smokers since moving here. One girl at the end of the hall...she runs every morning, generally keeps herself in (GREAT)shape....but she SMOKES. What the hell? System Error. Does not compute.

I'm still extremely bitter that there is no more Fuddruckers' right around the corner. If only I could single out one particular person who is responsible for that location somehow failing despite everything(great location, excellent food, etc.)...I would seriously beat him to a pulp. I'm not even kidding about this. The Fuddruckers 1 pound burger with cheese is serious business to me. It was one of my few great pleasures in life, and it's gone now. Summer is hot. And muggy. Very muggy.

Weather really kind of sucks in Japan, except for like one week before summer they call Spring, and 3 days before the winter they call Fall. So really, just take your pick.

Summer - people wearing t-shirts with funny English on them. Rainy season, and it's fuckin hot and muggy as hell.

Winter - cold, really cold. Some places will look awesome with the snow, if you go to a place where it does snow. No more Engrish t-shirts, but girls will still wear mini-skirts for some unfathomable reason.

Spring - You get to see the cherry blossoms! Sakura (not the Street Fighter...) are Japan's world famous flower. Many Japanese people celebrate the blossoming of the sakura by getting drunk and falling asleep under them. Doesn't last long though, so don't delay!

Fall - Leaves change colors, and admittedly this is fuckin' awesome. The right places = some awesome scenery, let me tell you. Late Oct/Nov the weather still shouldn't be that cold yet.

So I just got back from the magnificent Kroger...finally they had the "Peanut Butter Passion" ice cream I tried last week! This is the greatest ice cream...ever.
