my side panels on the cabinet are going to be orange with the main cabinet being white. i will be using 6 orange buttons and 2 white for each player

the only thing now is deciding what color to make the outline of the buttons. in the pic above it is a shade of grey which i think looks good. but i'm open to suggestions that might look better. thanks again

Yo that's going to be sick, like the color scheme for the Comic-Con edition TE, but they had two yellow instead of two white buttons. Can't wait to see pics when it's finished
Maybe just create mockups of what orange, white, and maybe yellow borders would look like, and just decide which one looks best.

Just got done messing around with what I want to do as far as Cabinet art is concerned. I have 2 final versions to choose from so tell me what you think of them. The marquee and movelist are final, it's the control panel I am undecided on. Thanks for the feedback.

Kray with FPS?

You couldn't use it with standard microswitch joysticks though. Your best bet would be finding a way to hook up yoke style analog sticks like those found on the Star Wars Trilogy or War: Final Assault arcade machines. Those types of sticks would be worthless for fighting games though in case you had a desire to play those as well.

Finally worked on the art for my Kray Cab. Let me know what you guys think of the marquee. I know the character portraits don't go with CE, I just needed some that were somewhat facing each other.

I think it came out great, but thanks again for the recommendation.

Apologies for the noob question....
How did you guys mount the joysticks onto the control panel? Kray informed me that he used wooden screws, but how exactly would one manage to make the screws go underneath while not showing on top of the plexi. I've heard that using a countersink drill and bit could work, but I'm a complete novice at all of this and don't want to wreck the Kraylix ;P I've only changed sticks on a TE and HRAPs. Any assistance you guys could provide including links to items I should purchase from Lowes/Home Depot would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys anyone ever used a coin door on an xbox 360 setup? Is it possible?
aminthemachine, post: 6710983, member: 63734 wrote:
if you mean getting the coin door to register that coins are being put in before it allows the game to be played i don't think so. I'll be putting a bucket behind the coin door and make my friends pay to play lol

If you're going to paint it yourself, I've found that Glidden Door and Trim paint is one of the most forgiving paints out there. It's gel based and will leave no brush strokes. It's also very glossy and easy to clean. It's not cheap, but it beats trying various water and oil based paints and trying over and over to get a decent finish. I can tell you that from my experience painting a Vewlix cabinet. The black is also much darker than other brands that I've tried.
If you put a coat of primer, it will be an even easier job.
The only downside is that it's only available in a limited number of colors.

Guys anyone by chance know the dimensions for kray's marquee, command box (move list area) and control panel? I'm getting ready to have the artwork print out and want to make sure it's in the right size. Thanks!!

So here's a few pics of the cabinet with the artwork in it. I wasn't patient enough to wait until it was painted so decided to at least put the artwork in to see how it looks. Let me know what you think. Thanks
