Hey all,

Thought it was high time to formally introduce myself and my shop. I'm Jaleel, the owner of Focusattack.com and fellow Guile main (Akuma looks great as an avatar, though). Focusattack was started in 2009 with the intention of bringing all sorts sweet of fighting game merch to the community. It's grown to highlight the modding community, with joystick parts, custom accessories and other unique items. The shop also embraces unique items designed by players right in the community.

Where do you ship from?

Also, you should consider changing the photos of things like buttons for the main page. At a glance it looks like you only have a few specific button colors, and it isn't until you click on it that you find the drop down menu with all the colors.

It'd be better if that initial image was a group shot of a bunch of multi- colored buttons.

Regarding the photos, I'll go through the site and adjust the photos with group shots, similar to what I did for the Toggleme battops. Yes, perhaps it's misleading that a single button color appears for the whole set.

Looks like a great start though, I like the big Seimitsu banner at the top. Big visual stuff like that looks awesome. Do more of that!

cool, I will consider buying some Dark Hai buttons off you, I need 4 more to replace my whites in my TE, I hope for 6 dark Hai and my black and violets are in the 3x buttons, With my violet bubble top, Purple anodized 7-11 shaft guard and my bison artwork it should look sick

i actually came across your site a couple weeks ago when i pricing some parts...and out of 8 different places pricing Seimitsu PS-14-K-Ns (Clear) i believe you were the 2nd cheapest including shipping to new jersey. so i may definitely be browsing again soon when i am ready to order parts.

a couple notes about your site: i really loved the design and layout. everything was clean and easy to follow. pages loaded very quickly and everything felt responsive. overall it was a great experience and i would recommend others check it out.

Thanks for mentioning that. I know players are always looking to save because, well, most of us don't make much money. :) If I can offer some good prices on parts, I will definitely try to keep that going. That said, if you and others find a lower price on parts, please let me know where you saw the deal and if I'll do my best to match it.

And thanks for the great feedback about the site. There are plenty of ways to improve it, so I'll keep trying to do so. This is especially true for navigation and search.

BTW: Your avatar is dope! Shin Akuma would be in love right now, I think. lol

kinda new to buy stuff abroad so heres a probably silly question, do you ship to mexico?.

As for feedback the design on your website and interfase is professional and neat, other arcade online shops seem to be too "cool" and less business-like. Yours is great.

I've ordered two or three orders from Jaleel, nice guy to deal with, shipped very fast (and with little bonus' like cards from that Street Fighter VS TCG lol).

It's definitely nice to see you going out of your way to get new stuff, like stocking those PS360 PCBs (those will pick up in sales after the pre-orders go out, most everyone was interested snatched them all up from Akishop with the pre-orders), as well as expanding your range of stick parts.

i have a question.. at about 28 seconds into your intro video through 29 (almost 30) seconds into the video, dudley does a combo... how many hits was that?

lol just kidding. but seriously i like the website. it is decorative.. lively. i also think it is easy to browse.

when i receive my slave labor reimbursment (aka paycheck from work) i am going to put some ps360 pcb's on order because i need those now.

i am going to be building a few more sticks and the features of this pcb are very convienent.

look forward to seeing more as well =P

You're fine, as you live in Canada. I can ship there with reasonable cost. One thing I'm working out with the store is switching shipping rates for international buyers vs domestic. Should have that adjusted soon.

Was about to look up the combo hits in slo-mo until I looked further into your message. lol Thanks for the kudos - the design was fun to put together. You'll see more of that when I have more time to design some graphics. You'll see some t-shirts designed by myself and others coming in the near future.

I currently have an order for 30 PCBs with Akishop. The pre-order page will reflect how many are left. I'll definitely get more if that limit is nearly met by the time the orders are ready to ship.

Sure I can swap out the Seimitsu balltop for a Sanwa balltop, especially if you're already ordering some buttons.

As for suggestions, I'd love to hear them. It will help if others post what they would like to see, so I can get an idea what demand there is for it.

Yup - Focusattack.com will ship to Mexico...I've done that before. Most items shipped abroad will receive insurance as well.

Thanks also for the kudos on site design. Initially, I was worried the design was not "cool" enough. I think I'll stick with it for a while. :)

They make a Blue and a Dark blue. The main picture on the black rim page is blue. Dark blue is kinda purple though.

Timeline

I'll make the order with Akishop within a day or so; they should have a rough time estimate once the order is processed. I anticipate early December, but once they provide a more accurate delivery estimate, I'll pass it onto you.

Epiiic is right - Sanwa makes a dark-blue/purplish black rim button. It matches their balltop, which I have. i have another order going out to the suppliers, who finally got a shipment in from Sanwa... If you've noticed some parts at Focusattack.com were in low-supply or missing, that's why. Will ask them to send some dark blue regular buttons as well.

I'll also have yellow/black rim buttons -- again the supply issue, but will have those stocked soon.

Well derp, that's right :p I don't think of the dark blue as blue, lol.
Just put in my order for parts, #504 if you wouldn't mind swapping the Seimitsu LS-32 balltop to the Sanwa Yellow one (I can finally get the matching Blue bubbletop for my ex2 lol), I think I selected Red in the options.

I'll see what I can do about coming down on Black Friday... Its hard to say when I'll be working though :[

lol - it's cool...I've been trying to restock with all colors...it's tough sometimes. I'll process your order and swap the Seimitsu balltop for the Sanwa one.

The fun doesn't start til after 5 so if you're working early (g*d help you), you can definitely unwind here. There's drink and food specials I'll have listed in the SRK event section. :)

Oops, I completely forgot to mention the extra things you should carry lol.
.110 Quick Disconnects would be great, you can't find them in most hardware stores, wire's not necessary (thats easy to come by), but being able to get QDs with orders would be a HUGE help.
You may also want to talk with Arthong about carrying his custom dustwashers and other products, means you seem to be big on extra customization options such as the wooden sides, or the custom battops.

I'll look into the QDs...I may have to limit the kinds of items I have only because I'm just starting out, but will try to find and pick them up. Actually I need to restart discussion with Arthong, since he was nice enough to offer the chance to carry his plates and dustwashers. I'll also look into shaft covers. Again, may not get everything right away, since I'm new, but will look into worthwhile items to get for you.

I'm interested in buying that Tri-modded PCB, but I want to know how easy it is to wire up specifically to a TE/SE PCB.

I haven't gotten the PCB yet so I couldn't readily mention how easy it is to install into a TE/SE, the specs provided on Akishop may provide some clarification:

If I understand you correctly, are you asking if this PCB could hook up the PCB already provided in the TE/SE? I would believe that this PCB would replace it. The specs should also help in clarifying that.

You would have no need for either TE PCBs, 360 or PS3. That would make no sense. The P360 already does both 360 and PS3, so you would be replacing it. From there you could go the easy Route and wire the buttons and ground up to the barrier strip and just go from there. should be a fairly easy job.

My main concern is keeping the Home and Turbo panel. I want to keep the panel without having to drill and install extra buttons on the arcade stick box.

You can absolutely still use the panel. You just need to connect the two signals to the PCB, and the ground to the daughter board.

Someone can correct me on these notes. also i will speak from a PS3 TE perspective.

1. If you still want full functionality of your TE/SE PCB, you will have to daisy chain all the points from TE PCB to PS360 PCB to End Devices (buttons, joystick, switches, usb, etc.) Though the boards might conflict this way since it will run through multiple chips.

2. Other wise, for sure, you can just forget the TE/SE PCB and just hook up everything directly to your PS360. You will still have to daisy chain your buttons since the PS360 has common ground in it's set up and will still have to get under your turbo/home panel to solder the turbo/home points. You will also lose the turbo led lights and lock switch but you can still utilize the lock switch with simple soldering by doing a PCB to switch circuit to button.

Thoughts to share. This board is mainly geared up for building you own custom fightstick. If you have a 360 TE, there are easier methods since the board is easily accessed. PS3 (this is what I have) TE on the other hand has everything under the turbo/home panel and just annoying to work with.

Correct, I will also go in depth too. Your System will provide power via USB to your PCB. Your PCB will make a full circle to and back from your buttons, joystick, etc by power and ground wires. This hook up picture https://akihabarashop.jp/images/PS360HookUpSmall.jpg helps a lot by showing that you can connect multiple ground wires together by chaining them into a single ground terminal while they each have their own power wire going to the correct terminal. The buttons connectors flow either ways so it doesn't matter which connection is the power and which is the ground, just don't hook up two power or two ground to one button. The Joystick on the other hand, you may want to take off the restrictive gate and follow the circuits to find out which cable is which microswitch unless you orient it to have the wires on the right side also, then follow the picture.

The PS360 basically replaces your existing PCB.

Focusattack.com is working with SINIX Design to create t-shirts based on their popular SINIX SSF4 character pins. We're working with a 3 color design with a small Focusattack.com logo on the back. The shirt color will depend on the character. Currently we have Ryu against grey and Chun Li in her natural blue. Two versions are available - , and one with a tagline below. Below are the two versions:
