Noticed that the NE8MC assembly instructions specifically mention cables with 5mm or 8mm diameter. Would using a cable that has <5mm diameter cause any problems?

The Smaller cable will have thinner gauge wire which could effect the Electrical Impedance of what you are working on.
Too thin and you can get more prone to voltage drop and signal corruption, same time you don't want too thick of a cable ether as a certain amount of resistance sometimes can be desirable.

For the PCB version, does it say "LS-32-10" on it? I'm interested in grabbing a few fastener versions since I have a PCB one already (sound takes some getting used to) and I'd like to consolidate shipping (need to but a few things for you guys) but I'm not seeing it listed on FA anywhere = / are they not up for sale yet? Thanks

I have to check the part - I don't know if the new PCB will specifically say "LS-32-10" on it.

Regarding these products, I haven't listed them yet. I'm working on this today - will have the LS-32, LS-32-01, LS-32-SC, and LS-32-01-SC. I will have the PCB assembly for those who own a LS-32 and want to swap, along with the new switch base, which is required to swap since the PCB assembly has a different shape. I will also have the new microswitch, which will also fit LS-40.

I want to stress that this new model will eventually replace the old one, and that Seimitsu worked with Omron to replicate the feel of the Panasonic as closely as possible. This isn't an upgraded product, but rather a solution to a problem that product manufacturers will face as Panasonic microswitches are no longer made.

Thank you, so far the version I have definitely feels a lot like a normal 32, just straight away it didn't take any breaking in, which is a plus imo. Looking forward to seeing the items pop up.

I'm afraid not. ETAs for these projects aren't easy to pin down due to other matters since I'm personally speccing the hardware. The past few weeks have been particularly hectic with prepping for inventory check, ATOW sale and a formal partnership with Udon. I'm also making some big changes to how orders are processed in a few weeks - hopefully to everyone's benefit. This may affect plexi services temporarily. As the dust settles next week, I'll work to provide some better idea when those designs can get done.

I don't think so. :) That listing will go away in a little bit. It was used for testing purposes. The "None" video is pretty hilarious.

I will have it, but I'm afraid not soon. I explain here:

    https://www.focusattack.com/blog/plexworks-coming-back-in-september/

Plexi restocks will come with the re-opening of the service in September.

Hey @jmanDMC , I saw you posting in the Korean levers tech talk thread and it made me curious. For those of us that bought the Crown 309s that shipped with the Gersung A2 levers who want to upgrade to the A3, do you have any idea when you'll have the A3's back in stock as a standalone product?

    https://www.focusattack.com/gersung-gsm-v0323a3-187-long-straight-hinge-lever-microswitch/?

I'm interested in ordering a dozen or so of these to try on a few sticks.

I'm also interested in this. Normally you can only get the auto e-mail on a product restock but technically the site shows 1 single microswitch in stock so this isn't an option on the site. Can we give our e-mails to get notification of a restock?

Unfortunately for me, those who are reading the forum posts are sending return requests. I have no way to confirm that they are actually having issues, or simply want the upgrade because they heard the switches were better. Forums can generate this kind of dilemma sometimes.

I've asked my supplier if possible to send 200+ switches. I don't yet have an ETA because I just asked yesterday. I'll mention when they are available to ship.

I'm sorry to hear that people are requesting returns because of this -- I know that it's hard for you to source Korean parts, and I find it hard to blame you for getting Gersung A2s over A3s; like you could've known that the switches have cruddy actuation points.

You guys have been nothing but helpful to me, I appreciate you being involved with the community here and by email.

Whenever they come back in stock I'll probably try to pick up a dozen

Thanks for understanding. I think there were a lot pieces in play, which led to this situation. Samducksa - faced with the need to replace the JMS switches because Panasonic surprised them (along with Seimitsu) that they are pulling out of the microswitch business - decided to go with the Gersung A2 as a replacement, with JMS being phased out.

I don't know if anyone Samducksa R&D is reading these forums, nor considered that the A2 would fare any less than the A3. Additionally, they likely don't yet have an alternative JMS switch which would likely come from Omron.

The 309 has remained one of the most popular Crown models since its introduction, I imagine partly because word got around here that it is better than previous models. With that same intent, word got around that the A2 switch isn't as good as the A3, and thus people started asking about replacing their switch. Because FA is selling them, people come back to me asking about upgrading. Some have decided to ask for a replacement. It's a no-win situation, so I'll take the hit.

That is why I asked in the forums about the A3 switch. So much is said in there it's hard to keep track of what is optimal and what is user preference. Before I plunk a few hundred dollars more for a restock, it will help to get a consensus from people that have actually tried the A3 in a 309, and can confirm that this resolves their actuation issues over the A2. Then, I can confidently ask for an A3 version of the 309 MJ and Helpme.

Once I can learn when my supplier can offer restock of the A3, I'll let you know. Meantime, I'll try to help where possible.

Much appreciated jman. I'm having issues with diagonal input consistency in my recently purchased 309's that have the A2 microswitch.
