Does TE kitty work for the SFxT Pro stick? If not, what is best for it

Start with updating the firmware by plugging it in with Guide held down. If the bootloader and firmware update dont seem to work, try on another PC first, and if it still fails, open up the stick, remove the original TE board entirely and all ribbons from the Kitty except for the H, R, and V ribbons that go to the LED board and the outgoing USB cable in the OUT section of the board, and try the firmware update again.

Just trying to get it to work on my original xbox. Works fine on ps3 and 360 but when I try to use it on my original xbox it does nothing. I just updated it to the latest firmware and all went smooth. Does it auto detect or do I need to press or hold something? Thanks

Hi Toodles, i am doing a kitty mod for a customer with a VS Stick and i've run into some trouble. The Right Trigger (3K) button does not function at all and the Left Bumper (4P) button works, but the LED in the turbo panel does not light up. I see that this problem has come up a few times in the forum and i've tried the solutions that you suggested. I removed the Z1 diode and i've also removed the R32 and R33 resistors and shorting their contacts in hopes of making a difference but nothing has changed the behavior of the buttons malfunctioning. I've plugged the original TE PCB back in and the buttons function as normal. It seems similar to a problem that i ran into with Air0087 whom i directed to come see you directly to get a fix. You sent him a replacement cable and his problem got resolved, however he had a 1.3 Kitty board i believe, with screw downs. This one is definitely the 1.4 with push pins. I have some pictures but i won't bother posting them if it isnt useful. Are there any tests you would like me to do to help get the light and buttons working properly? Thanks in advance.

I can get the Neo Geo extension cord but I was just wondering, would it be possible to connect it to a TE Kitty through the Neutrik RJ45 jack?

It's too early to tell about Wii U, but about Wii, which has got a USB port, would it be possible to use the VLX Kitty?

For Wii use the Gamecube port.

Yeah, but no way I dig a RJ45 port on my VLX.

So the only thing connected to the Kitty is the H, R, V ribbons and the USB wires in the OUT section of terminals? Redo the four USB wires and try again, post up what you experience. Make sure when forcing bootloader mode to run the Kitty bootloader program, even if you think the drivers didnt load.

And let's get this started....
'Kitty' reffers to a new class of boards. The other boards I've made were made to be as usable in as many places as possible; Cthulhus, Imps, and FGW LED Controllers have been installed in all sorts of different sticks with great results. The Kitty boards represent a very different viewpoint. Instead of trying to make a single board that can be used in a wide variety of situations, these will be made to be installed in very specific sticks.
1. Make installation as easy as possible in the specific Xbox360 arcade stick.
2. Make use of all of the features available in the stick as if the Kitty was part of the original design.
3. Add as much awesome as is physically possible.
As of this writing, boards and kits are ready to go for the first two products in the Kitty line: 'TE Kitty' and 'VLX Kitty'. These are made specifically for the MadCatz Tournament Edition FightSticks, and Hori VLX stick. I'm still in the middle of writing the normal documentation, but I welcome early adopters. Feel free to send a PM if you're willing to get your hands dirty with a new toy.

Nope. The VLX Kitty only works for the Xbox 360 version, as far as I know.
But you may try some other boards, like the PS360 board you can buy from http://akishop-customs.com/PS360Plus.html

Any chance a firmware update could bring Wii U support, or is it impossible?

This is a good question. I would hate to have to buy another stick just for my Wii-U. My VLX works for all my consoles but this one.

Hey sorry to keep bugging you, but your the only one who replied! :P
I replaced the cable, I even rewired it so it was back to using just the xbox 360 board and not going though the Kitty anymore.
Still all lights on, no inputs coming out. I guess its a problem with the original 360 board? T_T
