Galvatron, Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Constructions, Stunticons, Predacons, and Combaticons should all be in the MP line.

    Thunderwing, Bludgeon, and Jhiaxus too.

The last three don't have that same mass marketability, but could see them as worthy additions. I'd love to have the Predacons, but don't see them as G1 stop gap for the MP line. Takara needs to tackle all of the S1 characters, sprinkle in some of others in the process. I definitely see Astrotrain as part of that list of G1 characters to complete the set.

    MP Artfire Review -

    Incoming God Ginrai set -
    DBM8_q2UMAAvF3J.jpg
    Takara Tomy Mall Exclusive
    http://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g4904810874508/

Seriously debating if I want to continue with the US set now. With it sitting at about $155 (JPY to USD conversion), that means US Seller price will be around $200. Given that it's a TakaraTomy mall exclusive, you won't see it on the import sites. Sans shipping cost, the Legends Godbomber and the BBTS Magnus Prime has me sitting at about $150 total. I know I can sell the other figures out of the set without taking a loss or make a small amount of profit. That'll at least put me at about 90 for the pair. I'm just afraid that the blues when paired may not match. No word at the moment if there will be a US release of Godbomber (Apex Armor).

If they pull this off, then there are no limits with the MP line. MP BW Megatron may be the next most difficult followed by Terrorsaur.

I don't recognize 90% of those haha Only time I was really into TF was during Beast Wars (or Beasties as it was called here in Canada)
That's why I'm hype for the Netflix series! Glad I checked this thread.

Also anyone ever play this card game?
You tried to push the other bots off the edge by drawing cards and comparing numbers.

I agree, but Trypticon is a little too small in this case if you are pairing those two together.

Even though there are definite improvements to Ginrai that make him more G1 accurate, i'm still happy with my U.S release TR Powermaster Prime. Plus he has proper feet.

Ginrai's weird, squared "stump" feet look so odd. I swear, for the longest time, i thought he was just mistransformed in those early promo images.

Recently on different days, i scored a TR Topspin and TR Kup at my local target finally. Was always planning on paying more to grab them from e-bay at some point but, kept putting it off.

Guess you gotta be patient. They were even 15% off(about $4 less).

Yeah, I just got TR Hotrod and Gnaw (i'm a glutton for punishment LOL).

Surprisingly, I like it. Sure it looks like a toy with the lack of paint, but it's a more satisfying vehicle mode from the Classics release. I wish the shoulders weren't as broad so you could see the wing at the rear. Gnaw is serviceable and a decent troopbuilder.

I also grabbed a TR Sky Shadow from Target. It's cool, but I'm offloading it to wait for Overlord.

Something that shocks me is that there isn't a TR Star Saber. I know there was the voting thing that took place some months back, but this is just a missed opportunity.

What wrongs with Gnaw? I haven't opened him myself but, he looks like a spiffy classics rendition of the character.

Also bought Roadburn recently. Why homage a throttlebot of all characters instead of using the Bumblebee mold for Cliffjumper?

Edit: Naaa screw that. close enough. He is my unofficial, classics "Cliffjumper" as far as i'm concerned.

It looks OK from the front, however, the profile of the figure for the robot mode just looks unfinished in the rear. It's not a dealbreaker but is something to mention.

    Sad news..

G1 Voice Director Wally Burr passes away...
It is with sadness that we report Walter “Wally” Burr, the voice director for the original Generation 1 Transformers cartoon and the 1986 Transformers the Movie, passed away yesterday, 9 July, 2017.

If you watched a cartoon in the 1980s, chances are, Wally Burr would have been the voice director, guiding the performances of the various actors to bring the show to life. His credits included not only the original Transformers, but G.I. Joe, Jem, Visionaries, Inspector Gadget, Dino Riders, Captain Caveman, Dynomutt the Dog Wonder, and the 1980s Spider-Man. His work, however, also saw him occasionally take to the other side of the recording booth, providing additional voices for some of the shows he directed; in the case of Transformers, he voiced Kremzeek, as well as Jazz, Ratchet, Seaspray, and Thundercracker in individual episodes when their regular voice actors were unavailable.

Many of us will remember Wally Burr for his work; for his reputation for perfection which has doubtless contributed to the timeless nature of many of the shows that he worked on, or simply for the happy memories of watching the shows that he was credited on working on. Some of us might remember having the pleasure of meeting him at his convention appearances.

All of us here at TFW2005 send our thoughts and best wishes to Mr Burr’s family during this time. And we come together with one voice to say, “thank you, sir, for making our childhoods so enjoyable”.

(The $100 dollar TR repaint boxsets have one of each clones in them. So if you're a completist for all 4, your wallet is going to hurt.)

Allegedly, these will be a Walgreens exclusive when they hit the USA in a few months.

Damn. Hasbro is just going all-out for my G1 money.

I know most G1 fans are usually all for Season 1/2 cast members, and the beginning of Season 3's guys. But i've always had a particular fondness for some of the late line goodness too. Like the various Pretenders, headmasters, Targetmasters, and these interesting gimmick bots like the clones. I thought the clones would be deluxe figures though, not tiny Minibots/Legend size.

Edit: Wait, whats this about $100? These are cool but no way would they retail for $100.

Sorry. I probably wrote it in a vague manner.

This 2 pack is believed to be around $20.

There were some boxset of multiple figures in the TR line that were basically all repaints of existing figures with ONE of the Autobot clones or Decepticon clones included

like this one. It has Fastlane (Fastcrash) as the only new figure.

This set has the other Decepticon clone, Pounce, included among all the other repaints as the only new mold.

Those 2 big sets are $100 each and as of now are the only way to get the other clones.

If I can find this 2 pack for $20 , I'll get it ,but I'm not buying those boxsets for just 2 small legends.

Wow. TR Trypticon might be the bot to make me break my rule on obnoxiously over-sized bots. Also when you stand him up perfectly straight, he comes a lot closer Metroplex's height afterall (but still a tad shorter). Of course he looks best in his staggered, dino stance.

Man the amount of dust my transformers have gathered is ugh. Took me more than a day to really get in there and clean them up. Waiting on some figures to come in and that might be if for a while I'm out of space.
