Naaa. There have been a few others. Coincedentally, one of which was a recolor of Kup.

I really just want the redeco of the WFC mold. The Kup mold is cool, but I like the Generations look a bit better.

Always loved Rodimus Prime! Glad to see a new version. The moment i saw the new Rodimus, my wallet shuddered in fear.

Same goes for that Skullgrin! He was always my favorite Decepticon pretender. Looking at the G1 original in box on my shelf right now.

The Zeta Aerialbots looks pretty damned good...and the X-Transbots Stunticons Cars are only $40! The DX9 Stunticons are about the same height as the MP Seekers, but their car modes COMPRESS so that they are scale size to the autobot cars in vehicle mode. It looks freaking AMAZING.

Found Twintwist and Misfire at local Target!!!!

My target is weird. The selection is sparse but, that's usually where i find new stuff. My wal-mart always has a lot but, the same figures warming the shelves.

Looking at Misfire now. Damn. I remember everybody being nuts over the original classics line-up and alternators. Those were cool but they always ruined it by trying to "update" the bots. Such as different or modern altmodes.

Titans Return is the first line to really nail it, and be the "G1 of my adulthood".

I got the Optimus Prime evolution 2 pack (WFC repaint and TR Kup repaint with new head).

It's a strange pairing because the WFC figure is a fair bit smaller than the Orion Pax figure. It's clear how far Hasbro has simplified their figures. The WFC mold came out in 2010 and just has so much more going for it. Two points of articulation that are absent are ankle joints and wrist swivel. I weighed the current and previous generations release of Orion Pax. While they weigh the same, the original release has more detail, doesn't appear as hollow, and better painted. It's clear the direction the line is going. Hasbro is trying to do more with less.

That price is hella nice. Was planning on waiting for a KO, but I might have to jump on that.

I'm assuming that you've ordered from them before. Are shipping costs pretty reasonable? That's the one thing I always hate about preordering stuff from JP sites.

I don't know about y'all, but this is another pass, if I do say so myself. It's a AKOM based repaint (Rebirth) recolor of Hot Rod with the MP-09 US release Targetmaster. I like the first release colors better, and I sold the US MP-09 but kept the Targetmaster. I'm good on this one.

    Pretenders! Yes!

Damn you Hasbro/Takara, for exploiting my G1 love.

Edit: I may be alone in this but, screw you guys. I always thought Pretenders were a stylish gimmick back in the day. It was also fitting that the Autobots were humanoid looking, and the Decepticons were various fantasy monsters.

It looks OK. If you were just diving in, I could see why someone would prefer that over the original. Otherwise, I'm good with what I have.

I got the BBTS Siege on Cybertron set today. All I wanted was Prime. Sold every figure sans Tidal Wave within 10 minutes of posting it. Tidal Wave will be the Quickswitch of this set.

EDIT - Just got a buyer for Tidal Wave

I gotta take pictures of the Magnus Prime with GodBomber combination. It's probably one of the best updates of a Transformer to date. If they just made the cab transformable and it would have taken the top spot.

Well, at least they used Grimlock's sword from Fall of Cybertron.

A Dinobot Combiner isn't necessary. Sure it gives Predaking a rival, but it's not something I am interested in. The Lightning Strike Coalition was bad ass enough as is.

There aren't too many 80's franchises that are relevant in popular culture today not just for what it has done, but what it currently has going on.

With today's animation, there's no reason we can't have a 2D, reasonably mature (think Young Justice, a bit more than TF:Prime) Transformers show.

Agreed. They never needed it. Dinobots were always shown as a team of massive, brawling robots, with rock-solid armor. Each one as big, if not larger than Prime, and could take on multiple decepticons easily.

With a few exceptions, most decepticon combiners are usually portrayed as average sized individual robots. The threat with them is their ability to combine, which was necessary.

    Dinobots didn't need to.

That sucks. Their toy selection hasn't been as on point as usual, but they haven't been terribad.

Stopped by the local classic toy warehouse BobaKhan:

They have a pretty awesome classic Transformers selection, including Scorponok and Maximus in box. I'd love to go back to Japan and check out their best toy stores, hopefully catching great stuff like Omega Supreme in box.

    Gobots still suck.
