Anyone know where the U1 juggle guide is? Is it in the Moveset and Attributes thread? Just need to make sure so that my attempts don't whiff, or at least I'll know who will/won't be juggled in full.

Also, said list/juggle rules changed for AE right?

The juggle list changed in AE mostly because of distance - if you're pointblank in the corner, anyone who juggled in Super will juggle, anyone who didn't juggle in Super won't.

The U1 Juggle problem in AE has something to do with the way they tweaked Chun's hitbox after the launcher when she's doing the rising Spinning Bird Kick. Against certain characters it will juggle them too high, causing the last several hits of the rising SBK to miss, thus causing them to fall before Chun can perform the last kick of the Ultra 1.

More or less though, juggling is the same.

I'll add a section on Ultra juggling shortly.

I just wanted to say thanks, especially for the match-up lists. It was so hard to find specific match-up info before now, THANK YOU!!!

After a forward throw, QCF+HP, QCB+PPP, cr.HK ? Option select against Balrog (and potentially other characters) that forces them to block. View this post for details.

i´ve been testing this OS and some sad/funny things happened:
    • Rog in my testing can wake up TAP and punish chun by dodging kikosho
    • Rog and many others characters can just crouch block making the fierce whiff, activating U2 -> EX headbutt, EX srk, etc can punish the kikosho. Ryu actually can forward dash and block the kikosho, the EX srk whiff but he can just wake up jab-mashing to safety.
    • Vega in my testing can wake up KKK flip and punish
    • Sagat can only do reversal EX TK, wake up cr.mp/cr.jab.
    • Dictator can escape with EX Scissors, EX devil reverse/Stomp; Teleport and EX Psyco were punished by chun
    • viper can late ex seismo, reversal EX BK and Late BK; HP Knuckle whiff and reversal seismo gets punished
Sorry I made an assumption on those characters since they are typically heavy users of backdash, but I'll hit the lab and test it.

Edit: Just tested, and the above OS does not work against Rufus. I have edited my previous post to reflect that.

Also, the OS against Chun and Rose is dependent on the timing of the safe jump. It's not as lenient as other characters but they are definitely punishable on their backdash.

i was thinking that the timing its very strict and that´s why i get those outputs from the OS, ill be testing just to be sure.

    edit. deff its a timing issue, i was testing just now and TAP gets punished, but wake up jab beats the OS (lol), and with this timing sagat can wake up EX srk and punish; vega can autocorrect U2, EX barcelona (both directions, same with EX Sky High claw), KKK flip and PPP flip, both focus backdash and backdash were punished; dictator now can escape with everything but backdash; feilong srk (all versions) were punished but chiken wing gets hit once and then he can punish, and for some reason he can wake up cr.mp and then block the kikosho... im thinking its a timing specific BS or my execution with OS just sucks ;_;

I wonder if spoiler tags are ever coming back. If not, I have a lot of work to do....

Nonetheless, I've gone and fixed some of the links in the Thigh Guide. Now when you click on a link in the table of contents (for example, clicking on Matchups A-C), it will jump you straight to that portion of the page.

Is there any kind of reliable safe jump setups off a sweep? I can't use Youtube (china) and most safejump shit you google are youtube videos. It seems like such a shame that Ryu for instance can hold up forward after a sweep for auto-safejump but as far as I can tell Chun doesn't have any way to reliably safejump off her sweep.

I saw this pic a while back and I've been meaning to use it as an avatar ever since. I was tinkering with it in Photoshop trying to figure a way to get my name in with the new square avatar system (whereas the old avatars were rectangular so I had room), but eventually just decided against it and used the image by itself.

Although that first pic that 4neqs posted of current Chun (as opposed to Alpha Chun) I find more appealing. I might switch to that one.

I love Chun no matter what she's wearing, haha.
I'm really hoping for an interpole officer outfit like she wears in Udon's SF Legends comic series that'd be awesome.

Something else to add to the Cody match up, you can punish his overhead on block or hit (as far as I have found, did it 3 times in matches tonight, haven't checked in training but I'm gonna say it works)

If you want to add it for the on hit bit I think its pretty useful, well it was tonight...

I'd have to check to confirm that since frame data shows it to be -1 on hit. Did you punish with only the MK Super or with all versions of Super?

I always only use mk Super when going for a punish, like I said I haven't tested it in training but it worked every time against the Cody I was playing... He seemed decent, however someone that can press the right buttons isn't the same as someone that knows when to just block. So he might just have been trying to mash something out (good old online)... If I get chance tonight after work I'll check in training, if not then I need to find better random people to play lol

    • j.HP x2 > Ultra 1 (not enough time for Ultra 2) ---> there is enough time for U2
    • You can include Kikouken in the Ultra juggle list --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bD1SVea-

Is there really enough time for U2? I've tried and the training dummy always auto-blocks. Maybe I'm thinking of j.HK.

If Snake sees this and wants to add it feel free mate... This is for Jae as he asked about frame traps in the general discussion thread so I've copied these from my own Chun notes literally copy and pasted so ignore some of my random notes :)... Fair to say that most of this isn't new...

    Frame Traps:

Use these within pressure strings as to not repeat the same string over and over, need to vary my strings more... So badly

    cr.LK, cl.HK
    cr.LP, cl.HK
cr.LP x2 st. MP (sometimes pop Kiko on the end sometimes another st.MP and sometimes st.RH... why do I over use Kiko so much argh)
cr.LP, cr.HK (best off a few jabs and shit and maybe I need to work on a delay of some sort)
    cr.LP x2, 1 step back cr.HK (or st.MP buffer those EX Legs)
    cr.LK, cr.LP (or x2 LP), LK HSU
    cr.LP, cr.HP (cancel into something)
    cr.MK, st.MP (loose trap)
cr.LK, cr.LP, hold towards and cl.HK (loose trap, catches late cr.techs yay)
cr.HP xx RH Legs hold towards cl.HK (crazy loose gets a ton of trades, should probably stop using it)

Anyway that's all the basic frame traps I throw about I do use some odd other ones that use meter and stuff but they are mainly for styling

LOL sorry like I said these are just copied from my Chun notes so its not everything, I don't really use cr.MK to frame trap but I probably should, please don't cry :)

I've been using cr. mk to trap quite a bit up close. since most of Chun's normals are pretty much 3-4 frames up close it's easier to catch counterhits off of a blocked cr. mk imo.
With cr. lp, I'll use that over cr. mk if I know I'll have to walk up for a split second to connect the next move. It usually turns out to be too tight from point blank unless the opponent is BLATANTLY mashing (in which case, I'll do it all day).

Also, cr. mk, jab, fierce is one of my favorite link combos now.

This is an awesome link but to be fair I drop it way to much but then I guess that makes it a kind of frame trap lol

I've been noticing that when players block Chun's cr.MP in footsies, they almost always instinctively stick out a poke or a move right after, which will then lose to Sweep. According to frame data it's not a frame trap per se, but I am thinking about adding it anyways because it still sort of is a frame trap and because it's so damn effective lol.

I use this a fair bit or do HSU after the cr.MP... However I have noticed that the good players I fight adapted to this after I used it like twice in a fight, just got to be careful cos I've used this against an excellent Fei and eaten Focus crumple a few times into a lot of damage, also fear sticking out these types of pokes against an oiled up Hakan, the stuff a good (I mean really good) Hakan can do to Chun's Footsies actually made me scared to press buttons... If you don't believe me this is the Hakan I play against often:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxAnhJZRl6Q

Still it is a nice pattern I guess I am just trying to say DON'T become patterned with it as its a SLOW punishable poke

Yeah, it's definitely punishable if you get predictable with it, but I'm thinking about using cr.MP a few times to see if someone will stick out a move (while I just block without doing anything afterward) and save that information for a rainy day - and when you really need it, cr.MP and Sweep or Hazanshu into combo. Or just cr.MP and then blind Ultra 1 if you want to feel godlike (or feel stupid if they block lol).

It's a nice idea cuz it gives your opponent enough time to stick something out before you punish it with a slower move that can still catch them in recovery. Almost every string Dhalsim does works off of negative advantage and slowish pokes and it still works out pretty well for him. Haha
