    What's the current status on paradise lvt3 owners and being stuck in the "update available" prompt for the latest program build available on arcade upgrades?

    4 months ago
    We are working on the new code I will post an update asap. It's a windows 10 fun thing...

    @armi0024
    I know I'm beating a dead horse here... but is there ANY update to this situation? I know a possible solution has been "weeks away" for the last 9 months, but a lot of people are dropping $125+ and cannot get this item to function. Any help is very very much appreciated.
    There were no issues for months, there was a Windows 10 update a few weeks ago and we are working on the fix. This was repaired before Combo breaker last year with the last update that upset it.

    Sorry I didn't see your update - But I have never been able to get this work on Win 10.. ever before the update.

    I have the brook UFB without headers. What do I need to get the kaimana to work with it? And also, is soldering absolutely required or is there another way to go about it?

    Thanks

    If you are getting the Mini then either get the header and solder it or get the mini adapter and wire through that. Either one will yield a good result.

    If you are getting the khameleon headers are definitely recommended to take advantage of the USB switching.

    Because, USPS, FedeX and UPS charge more for international shipping.
    Because those items have to go father and there more fees involved.

    Because more fuel is used to get the package to where its supposed to be and more people have to work on getting it there, so they charge you according to the effort they make.

    The box they may ship that actuator may be the same box that they ship a whole joystick. There can be number of factors that affect shipment prices. Joysticks aren't that heavy, so weight may not become a differentiating factor. Similar weight+same package=same price. If you've got a shipping question, why not ask it to them directly?

    @SusanInParadise can you clarify?

    You need a kit for each button you want to upgrade to MX. You need one of these: https://paradisearcadeshop.com/obs-mx-button-system/1626-obs-mx-drop-in-kit.html per button you want to convert. Though, I am unsure where you select the switch color and the button cap color with that listing... @armi0024

    @TizTozBriB We will no longer be selling the Gamerfinger buttons. armi0024 has designed our own mechanical keyboard switches here: https://goo.gl/WzXYSL

    @unaigalder shipping costs vary by country. Since we have to use insurance and tracking the cost is higher than first class mail, which we no longer offer unless it's a very inexpensive item as an actuator. You can request first class shipping on anything less than $20. Anything over $20 must be insured and tracked. We must use weight ranges for the shipping costs, specific to each shipping company.

    @jey-are Brook is coming out with a new pcb that will eliminate the need for the Brook 3/4 Breakout

    Crystals dont accept artwork like the obsc's, those have the plunger shaft and top is one piece, the white one i want to say you can but I need to get home and open one up.

    These are both the full button with switch and casing, there are options for plunger only which are separate from these.

    As long as I can put my artwork in them and have it show through in it's entirety it's cool with me lol. I was just under the impression the clear translucent ones were the only ones I could use. If you could lmk about the white ones that'd be great but as far as I understand I think I need the clear

    Sorry when I mentioned white ones i was quoting directly from the items description, it is actually a clear button but with a white plunger and a clear cap which you can insert art into.

    1. Its easier to install on the Brook UFB or PS360+
    2. It can be hard mounted so it wont jiggle around or get loose.
    3. You dont have to open the case to get to the USB jack on the KK to reprogram it.

    Thanks! I own the kaimana mini and it mounted on the brook ufb 20 pin with a solid connection. So basically not having to open up my stick to access the mini USB to reprogram is the difference and a great convenience.

    Maybe a stupid question, but how do you get to the USB jack without opening the fightstick case? I have the Khameleon and plug my mini USB directly into the Kaimana board to program or update it (which involves opening my fightstick).

    Can you just plug the USB from the back of the fightstick into the PC to program etc? I normally have it connected to my PS4 all the time (then opne it up and connect the Kaimana to my PC when needed), but it might be useful if I can just connect direct to my PC.

    Thanks.

    That's a pretty good article to explain the difference between metals. Assuming you're comparing to an aluminum shaft, titanium is about twice as dense as aluminum so it should be twice as heavy as a shaft of the same size made of aluminum. Obviously a hollow shaft is a lot less material so it may still end up being lighter. A hollow aluminum shaft will definitely be lighter though. The advantage of titanium is the strength; aluminum is soft and bends easier. Unless you're exerting enough force on your shaft to bend it (unlikely without two hands and a lot of pressure) the titanium shaft isn't really neccessary.

    No one makes an Aluminum Shaft. Most are Steel.

    First off, major props to ParadiseArcade. I love that you guys are a local business for me. Everything I've gotten for my first stick as worked extremely well. I do have an issue I'm running into and hoping someone can help. I have all the Kaimana Mini LED and board setup correctly, but I can't seem to upload the Arduino code back to the board. One of the steps involves selecting the port for Arduino but it is grayed out for me and I don't see Ports in Device Manager. I'm on Windows 8.1 and it sounds like it is an issue with that operating system. Anyone figure out a workaround for this?

    They were advertised as the exact same switches used in the silent Sanwa JLF, problem is that they're not because of the metal tab. Is there a way to remove the tab or should I get a refund?

    Does the MX Cherry Switch conversion have the PCB already soldered with the adapter cable? Or is it just the physical switch?

    So basically all i'll need is the plunger if I already have the rim correct?
