SSF4AE PC Custom Skin Thread

This thread is for the discussion and submission of skins/mods for SSF4AE. There is another thread for technical discussion (how to mod, new techniques, etc.).

As before, DLC unlocks/workarounds will NOT be discussed and no nudity will be tolerated (c'mon guys, this is a family forum) under penalty of banhammer.

Submissions posted in this thread will be copied to the AE Modding Wiki for better organization.

If there's an old mod you would like to see in AE, please don't request for someone to convert it for you. Just do it yourself. It's easy.

UPDATE: For beginners, this page will get you started on what files go where when applying mods.

Most importantly: BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE DOING ANY MODDING, FFS.

Never thought of doing that, good idea.

In regards to mod compatibility, apparently the file structure is pretty much identical to Vanilla, any modders know what exactly needs to be changed?
I wish Capcom would actually support modders and let us put modded outfits in Alt 4/5/6/7 etc. slots

Am I correct in thinking that last one restores the fireball dust effects to the regular SF4 style?

yes, just overwrite the 04 files with copies of the 01 files and you'll never have to see those feathers again.

The big change with costumes and colors is that they don't use the .emz bundles anymore. The component files are just floating around freely, which makes things easier on us. See the conversion tutorial linked in the first post for more information.

EDIT: I saved all the files, is all we need are the single col.emb's? I noticed above in the other converted sakura pack, its only col.emb files, and this one has more in the EMZ's.

It's likely that the obj file is unnecessary if the mod didn't require any hex changes (alphatest, material swaps, etc.)--since the only thing changing would be the DDS texture--but it's probably best to include them anyway (they're only a few kilobytes).

Thanks for converting that pack, btw. It's one of my favorites :D

I believe all of the costumes will be on-disc but we'll have to wait and see.

all of alt.costumes include the DLC (02 03 04 costumes) are in the game folders and very easy to swap it to 01 by renaming

Sweet, I'm prob gonna buy them anyway so I can get the 100+ slots to fit more of these custom mods in, more variety that way.

Why sharing the costume when you already have it? It's already on the disc...
You don't even need to edit anything in hexadecimal, capcom made it easier, you just have to rename the files...

Edit: what i can't find is the color 11 and 12 for all the charas. Onlyones with these colors are oni+evil ryu. I also have to pay for this? or is free?

The other don't, as we have no connection between SF4 & SSF4(AE) like consoles did.
I unlocked every colors with Cheat Engine (sorry can't share that, I didn't saved the table).

its ok.. i can unlock 1-10 colors easy. I care bout the 11 and 12... shame we cant have them :S i loved the 12 color effect

The charas Evil Ryu, Oni, Yun, and Yang already have them unlocked from the start.
(only on AE)

Theres any way to switch costumes without have to be renameing all the time the files for can use them.. ? or any free program for do the job for me? (like some macro or something)
Kinda borred had to be changing the names of the files for can use certain costume.
Or any way to let 1 expecific color with the costume N°2 for example (?

You'll have to buy the DLC, that's the point of it, giving you access to 4 costumes slots.
The renaming method is just a preview, you'll be the only one to see them online.
You can't use 2 costumes at the same time without buying the DLC, as the files take the same spot.
We won't discuss DLC workaround, as it's considered hacking/pirating the DLC.

About pigs flying, don't we already have Rufus?

The problem is that the values are 0 and 1, they don't go higher, so it's hard to find them...
That's why I asked the user above how did he find them.

Sorry I don't understand your question, I didn't have to find the 11 & 12 as they are already unlocked for the AE characters and they don't exist for the SSF4 ones.

So I only had to unlock colors 3 to 10 for SSF4 characters.
